stunning views and beautiful location
everything is extortionately expensive and the food is extremely mediocre at best

The location is ideal, in a calm bay where you can do snorkelling or enjoy the ,non motorized water sports. Overall the resort is very calm and peaceful, despite the fact that it was fully booked, we did not feel it.
The breakfast and the other meals were all fresh and made from scratch and the most fresh ingredients, I loved the booster juices in the morning.
The staff were amazing and very welcoming. We all loved it!

Staffs were friendly, polite and gave an excellent service. Also they gave us the great recommendation for all activities, especially the water activities. I personally love the snorkeling experience with them so beautiful!
The food was alright, not the best part. We really wanted to have some seafood, unfortunately on our stay they didn’t have much choice of seafood.

The property was amazing, only a short boat ride from Port Denarau, and felt very private even at near full capacity due to the way the property has been laid out. Above all else, the staff made our experience, a big shout out to Sana (our GEM) and Isaac, from guest services

Amazing location, beautiful rooms and super clean!
Sixt Senses must be superlative in every aspect and unfortunately it isn’t! The big lack are the services:
1. the staff is not as per a 5* resort, especially at the restaurant. Every day there was a mistake in our order: I was asking an orange juice and I had received a mango juice. Sometimes they forget part of our order.
2. Food quality: good but not wow. Definetely not worth it. Pizza very bad.
3. weak attention to details: luxury is all about details and this what is done by the other chains at the same level of six Senses (as Four Season or Oberoi). Example: after flying for more than 10 hours to arrive to Fiji, I would expect to have at least a complementary water on the boat, especially considering the price of the transfer. BTW I wanted to pay but they didn’t have water…

We loved everything about our stay, beautiful location, amazing pool villa & Jake our guest experience manager was so lovely and made our 25 year anniversary so special
Only hiccup is we arrived on a later flight & arranged a private boat transfer to island that wasn’t available, we had to wait another 45 minutes for it to arrive & only got to island after 9pm. Understand it was due to other airlines arriving late on delayed flight & really couldn’t be helped.

Room was great, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with in and outdoor showers, and the small private swimming pool was lovely with lots of privacy.
Chef Pranil and Waitress Salai were fantastic and helped made our stay more enjoyable. Pranil was very knowledgeable regarding dietary requirements and created lovely food at Rara restaurant.
Sadly not good value for money. Lots of hidden costs as it is normal with these types of resorts.
Overall though food and drinks are very expensive compared to other island resorts in Fiji.
The beach was sadly the least favourite out of the places we visited in Fiji as it felt very "man made", the water was not as crystal clear and turquoise as others and the sand was not smooth (covered in broken shells which is painful to walk on).
Boat is priced at 230 per person per trip (45mins) but they made us pay 250 because that was their "old price" - £400 for two people to get there and back with a shared boat transfer is ridiculous. Boat arrived 30 minutes late back to port Denarau - bear that in mind when booking onward transfer.
The idea of a GEM was nice but I don't think it's working very well. We had to ask for things repeatedly or call reception and organise it ourself. Also when we checked out we heard there meal packages - it would have been nice to have been told about this at check in.

8 of us stayed in Residence one, it was absolutely stunning! the views were breathtaking, we couldn't fault it. The food at the restaurants was delicious. The kids loved the free ice cream and the open air cinema. The house reef is beautiful to snorkel, we saw a batfish, spotted eagle ray and so many fish and colourful corals. We had the best reef dive with Owen and his team, we saw turtles! All the staff were super friendly and we felt so welcome and comfortable. We will definitely visit again soon!
I really can't think of anything that could have been better! Maybe a few more golf buggies but honestly we just had the best time!
3.0
Breakfest- below our expectations in quality. Poor quality choices, no imagination in preparation. Just not good enough.
Dinners- boring and poorly prepared and vastly overpriced for what was offered. Pretending to be an eco-resort didn't work. Quantities were universally stingy. Very disappointing. The wine list was laughably overpriced and the selection was atrocious.
8.0
The food options were extensive and high quality and custom orders were no problem. The location was quite special with the secluded bay and use of free water sports equipment. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bathroom was private. Wasn't aware of the private villas for rent and these looked fabulous for larger groups.
The staff were not as polished or friendly as other places we've stayed. The price for food and drinks was excessive. The surcharge of 13.5% on total stay was a bit extreme. There were more children/families than we anticipated and only one pool. An adults only pool with bar would have been great.
