The Space
What makes Rustic Log Cabins unique? Wood burning fireplaces in every cabin with the Salmon Hole Brook that runs by each cabin and the outdoor fire pits. Listen to the soothing water as it rushes over the rocks. You can stick your feet in to cool off, sit alongside while watching and listening to the babblings of the brook.
Each cabin has a kitchen, bathroom and wifi. There are 7 cabins on the property, each with a firepit and access to the brook. They all have a front porch and yard around each cabin for charcoal grilling.
We have a trail that leads to the main snowmobile corridor that runs through NH, VT & ME. You’ll pass the artesian well house that delivers water to each cabin.
Rustic Log Cabins are in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire, just 15 minutes away from the White Mountains National Forest and Franconia Notch State Park with its many hiking trails and natural wonders. We are located along an official NH Scenic Byway - Rt. 117, a.k.a. Sugar Hill Rd. - nearby many attractions and small villages. within 5-15 minutes are the towns of Sugar Hill, Littleton, Franconia and Bethlehem.
Within 20-30 minutes are Lincoln and Woodstock, several ski resorts as well as Franconia Notch State Park, White Mountains National Forest and the scenic Kancamagus Highway. A few minutes more are other ski areas, plus Crawford & Pinkham Notches and New Hampshire’s most famous “resident” Mt. Washington.
We are open year round. Every one of our guests has their favorite season and cabin.
Spring - Welcome the new blooms and baby creatures to the region. The mountain air awakens your “scent-ses“ and the blooms preview what’s to come.
Summer - The full complement of the region's outdoor activities await. Hiking, fishing, zip-lining, biking, and more.
Autumn - The Fall adds many colorful aspects as the rainbow of leaves float down into the Salmon Hole Brook, onto its banks and throughout the White Mountain region. Cool nights and clear skies are great to experience with a cozy fire, either outside in the firepit or in the fireplace.
Winter - Skiing, snowmobiling, snow laced forests and that magical time of year can all be had. We are as close as 15-30 minutes from 3 major ski areas and within 45 minutes to others. You can snowshoe from your cabin onto our trail.
We are also pet friendly! A $25 per pet, per night fee applies. Proof of vaccination is required. Size and breed restrictions may apply. Max 2.

The site of the cabins was lovely. We enjoyed the fire pit and the brook/forest. Really pretty site. The bed was comfortable and it looks like they had recently switched out the toilet and sink. The bed was comfortable.
Overall the property is somewhere between camping and a romantic getaway. For the money, I would camp next time, personally. There is old carpet in the cabin which feels dirty. Our cabin had two arm chairs by the fireplace (not Adirondacks) that were absolutely filthy - one even had a burn hole. I didn't want to sit in them at all. The shower had exposed plumbing. It was extremely dark in the cabin even with all the lights on. I thought the pictures were showing soft lighting in the listing but it really is that dark. No coffee or dish sponge were provided. Most of the curtains are sheer so while no one walked by our cabin (that I saw) if they had they could have seen in.
Overall I thought it was pricey for what it was. The "rustic" is in most cases literal, so although there were some nice features, I would keep that in mind when booking.

Rustic Cabins was a great get away. The cabin was well equipped for cooking and grilling, while the outdoor fire pit was stocked with brush that allowed us to enjoy a wonderful fire by the stream. Jenn was very thorough in her communication with us and the property manual answered all of our questions in advance. Great property and great owner!

My dog and I were attacked my yellow jacket bees we were both stung over 20 times the nest was less than 10 feet from the fire pit. Also they billed me $75.00 more which I guess I will have to dispute. This was a terrible experience and now I am being overcharged. This is not ok I want my money back

Great place to unwind, get away from the city and listen to nature. We sorely needed a vacation & a few days in the mountains was perfect. This cottage had all we needed; quiet, with beautiful views and the running brook. Feeling so relaxed now. We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The bed needs to be replaced. The cabin is super dark. The grill was not maintained/cleaned. The kitchen cabinets were musty. The cabin is right on Rte 117.
The owners are very nice but the cabin needs some major work.

My girlfriend and our two dogs had a wonderful relaxing time at the cabin! We loved exploring the hiking trails and local stores. The fire by the brook at night was heavenly. The cabin was clean and cozy and exactly what we needed to break from our busy work lives. We will surely be back.

The cabin is cute but the bathroom needs a lot of help. The shower quit working a x my husband had to repair it before we could use. I called the owner and they were getting a hold of the handyman. It is not made for tall people! Nowhere to get ready. And really the icing on top for us is they got a load of firewood and dropped it off in our parking spot and we had to park at the check in center and walk in the rain.

A streamside oasis not far from plenty of sights, sounds, and needs ... like being inside a postcard! That said, likely not for everyone as its name suggests but highly recommend for those who are looking for a break from it all ... and the hosts are great and make things easy!
