Come to Sunnyside! A new 5 bedroom home with game room, hot tub, and space for 12 people on 4 acres on a private farm road. Just off the infamous Route 151, or "Brew Ridge Trail", you are RIGHT in the middle of the action: 7 minutes to 10 wineries / breweries, 5 minutes to the nearest family farm or golf course, 10 minutes to Skyline Drive with PLENTY of places to hike, and 25 minutes to skiing at Wintergreen.

You are surrounded by jaw-dropping mountain views/sunsets that surprise every guest.

Sunnyside is a picturesque mountain retreat nestled in the heart of Afton, VA. This inviting, family-friendly home promises a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, ensuring an unforgettable getaway for families and friends alike.

As you pull up the driveway at the end of a cul-de-sac you are greeted by the expansive front porch adorned with inviting rocking chairs, where you can unwind and soak in the surrounding landscape. As you enter the main living area, you'll be greeted by a spacious family room complete with a large sectional sofa, perfect for your group to plan or reminisce about your day in Nelson County.

The well-appointed kitchen features a farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances, and floor-to-ceiling cabinets stocked with all the essentials. Enjoy morning coffee in the breakfast nook overlooking the majestic mountains. You are staying on 4 acres of an old farm. Only 6 houses on the private road and you are at the end of the cul de sac. From the back deck there is not a house in site. And you TRULY are in the middle of everything in Afton.

We bought the home in 2019 for our family of five because we love the area. There are so many things for families to do together, and adults to do on their own. We love the peach orchards, berry farms, hiking, driving Skyline Drive year-round (especially when the leaves change in Autumn), Wintergreen skiing in the Winter, and wide open spaces for kids to play free at the nearby parks, trails, and wide-open spaces at the breweries and wineries. When we go with just adults, we love the wineries... it's the Napa of the East Coast :)
This is a great house for family and friends. We ask that you are neighborly and treat the house and neighborhood as you would your own.

This is a lovely, clean, new house with nice amenities for kids and adults. We especially enjoyed the glowing sunsets behind the Blue Ridge Mountains followed by millions of fireflies putting on an encore performance a little bit later.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property. The house was spotlessly clean and had just about everything we needed to be very comfortable. We were traveling with multiple kids under 4 years old and there was plenty of space and entertainment both within the house and on the sprawling property. The kids had so much fun exploring the property and the creek. There were even multiple things available we hadn't anticipated to make our stay easier, like toys for the kids, a baby gate, booster seat, and even a baby monitor. We will not hesitate to book this property again!

My husband and I, along with our two college aged sons, who each brought a guest and our dog enjoyed our 8 day vacation at Sunnyside. The house had all we needed and provided small extra touches that make a big difference, such as smores for the firepit, a Christmas tree (very nice touch-week before xmas) amongst other things! We enjoyed the breweries in the area, hiked a few days and the kids enjoyed snowboarding at Wintergreen. We all really enjoyed the infinity game board, and the basketball game downstairs. The hot tub was great in the evenings. Our host, Kyle was extremely responsive, as there were a few things we reached out to him for. The area was quiet and we would definitely stay here again!

My husband was officiating a wedding in Staunton so we decided to make a long weekend of it. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. We got breakfast every morning at the little market nearby and spent our days exploring Staunton and Charlottesville. My dogs and kids also enjoyed every inch of the expansive backyard. We lost a ball somewhere, maybe the next family will enjoy it. The house was fully stocked with essentials and we didn’t have to stop for provisions other than food which was very nice. We are already talking about coming back.

This house is just as described; beautiful, quiet, well laid out, and easy to access. We needed a one night stay for a local family event, our dogs included. We hope to return and stay longer. It’s always a big plus to wake up and see a beautiful mountain right in front of you.

We rented this home while moving our oldest son in a home in Crozet. We had a full house, but it didn’t feel like it at all. We had plenty of room and beds! The home was SO CLEAN. (Very important to me!) Super quiet area and close to everything. We will definitely be back!

This user friendly home is ideal for family get togethers. The open floor plan of the kitchen and family room are great for cooking and conversation. Large windows bring the outdoors in with plenty of light and beautiful views. We ended every night outside with a fire in the fire pit, chatting and looking up at the stars - it was a lovely getaway!

Property was in a great location off the winery/brewery trail. We heard a pack of dogs barking in the distance at night and a handful roosters crowing in the morning. It was a nice experience. House was clean. Krystal was easy to communicate with. Only thing to make future guests aware of is there is a nest doorbell camera.

This home is perfect for a family vacation. The owner made us feel so welcomed. She had a welcome basket, and had a book with nice suggestions regarding where to eat, breweries, vineyards and shopping. We picked this location for all the hiking and breweries close by and it did not disappoint. It’s perfectly located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, local cideries, breweries, the lake at Wintergreen and many orchards and berry farms. The home is well appointed, very clean and spacious, and Krystle was a great host. She left a recommendation book, and a nice welcome basket with things to make s’mores, and there were plenty of games and toys available to keep the kids occupied. Thanks for a great stay.

The house is everything you see on line. Beautiful, modern, clean home in a picturesque setting. The town is very quiet but has great dining at local breweries nearby. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park and Charlottesville were added bonuses. And our girls loved the bunk beds! Highly recommend.

Our family of 5 (with 3 young kids) and my parents stayed in this home. It’s as advertised with lots of amenities, very clean, and a beautiful view. In addition to the DVD nook, the home has a pack n play, toys and books, and a strap on chair which was nice and convenient. We used the fire pit every night and the kids spent hours in the yard every day. This home was very comfortable - we would come again!!
