Salty Mermaid is located in the heart of Surfside Beach. Beautifully decorated in beach inspired décor, this 3-level home is located just 300 feet from the beach and offers accommodations for 18 guests.

Salty Mermaid boasts a large main floor living area open to the kitchen. The spacious, updated kitchen features new stainless-steel appliances, granite counters and offers plenty of counterspace for delicious home-cooked meals. A separate enclosed dining area is not only the ideal space for family meals but can double as an office for those on a working vacation.

The third level can accommodate an entire family. It features a spacious bedroom with a king bed, large walk-in closet, and private bathroom. This level also features a private room with a sofa queen bed, fireplace and kitchenette. Enjoy the ocean views from the covered balcony - a relaxing place to have morning coffee or sunset cocktails.

You will find the perfect outside entertainment space featuring a private pool with pavers and a charming narrow picket fence. Plenty of seating makes it ideal for sunbathing and grilling fresh seafood straight from the coast.

Don’t forget about your four-legged friends! This vacation rental is pet-friendly and allows up to two dogs per stay.

There is beach access at the end of the street, only about 300 ft. from the home.

PRIVATE POOL + SPA
Pool + spa can ONLY be heated from April 1st - May 31st for an additional fee, see below. During this period, pools cannot be heated when temperatures drop below 60 degrees, even at night. No exceptions.

PETS
This is a pet friendly home and accommodates a maximum of 2 dogs per stay. Dogs must be at least 1-year old and not weighing more than 35lbs. A $475 + tax non-refundable fee per dog is required at time of reservation. No more than two dogs will be approved per reservation and quantity must be entered at the time of booking. Violators will be handled at the owner's discretion.

Our family visited Surfside Beach for the first time last week and stayed at The Salty Mermaid. Overall the house was beautifully decorated with room for our entire group of 12. I loved all of the doors that separated sleeping areas from living space so that it stayed quiet for those still in bed in the morning (teens!). The beds were comfortable and the linen/toiletries service was plentiful! We did do a lot of cooking and found the kitchen amenities/serve ware/utensils be light but everything there was clean and we supplemented as needed from Walmart. The pool is nicely divided into three sections and was nice to cool off. There was a lot of leaves and bottom debris in the pool so a mid-week pool service would have been appreciated. Overall an excellent stay!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great week with the family. I would recommend heating the hot tub even in the summer. The top floor living room is labeled as a bed room, however there was no comforter or pillows with that bed. We just pulled it from another bed.I would recommend that you keep a comforter and pillows in that room if you consider it a bedroom. It was a very nice place and great location!

This house hosted us for a golf trip. It was well equipped with everything you would need for a great stay. The house was very clean and was close proximity to the beach and amenities. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Everything was as expected. Comfortable, easy access, parking, and communication were all very good. The listing does not mention the outdoor spa (which I would call a hot tub), but you can clearly see it in the photos. My group was told that heat was not installed for it, which seems odd. In hindsight, I would have inquired about this before booking, as we wanted a functioning hot tub. Otherwise, everything was very good, and worth 5 stars.

Love love love the Salty Mermaid! What A Beautiful place to stay. Everything was so clean! Large enough for family! Beds are so comfortable. Walking distance to the beach!!! The only down fall they need to put in an elevator, stairs are a killer on the knees!!

We have been coming to the beach for the last 8 years for family vacation, and rating all the places we have stayed this house was by far the best. So much space that even though it rained our entire stay we were not on top of each other and there were 12 of us. We are planning to come back for next years vaca and hoping to stay in the same house. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable which is a first for us, enough parking for everyone. Easy access to the beach, great eating area on the covered balcony. Everything was superb. There were smart tv’s in every room, everyone had their own bathroom and the kids loved the bunk beds in their room.

We loved the property. All our family were able to spread out and enjoyed the beach and the area. As an older person the stairs were somewhat daunting, but we managed just fine. We were disappointed that the hot tub is not hooked up and had to pay extra to have the pool heated, but again we did enjoy having a pool. The staff was always helpful and quick to respond to our inquiries. I think a checkout sheet would be helpful.
