Piney shores is a nice resort for any occasion, family vacation or if you want to just getaway for some quiet time.

It was okay, but it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. It was hair in the shower, visible hair. I am not one to complain, but the smell was old and stale. The toilets didn’t flush properly.
They did have everything I needed to cook with. That’s was a plus. The scenery was beautiful.

The pool didn't open till 10. First place I have been to that pool opens so late. We wanted to be closer to the activities. Was clear on website.

Just very relaxing and quiet place to stay. I don’t like the additional charges and charges for stuff you’re not even using. Like the workout facility, swimming pool, etc.

The property is beautiful, but they close off the amenities too early and it makes it difficult to enjoy them when you have a busy schedule. The mini golf turns off lights at 10:30pm, but the arcade room gets locked at 10pm. The front office doesnt close down until 11pm. They have construction work being done at the property and it leaves loud beeping noises and banging sounds all day even on the weekend. They didnt block off parking spaces needed for the lift and because of that we were yelled at from across the parking lot to move our vehicles by the construction workers. The hotel security even parked next to our vehicle and drove off when we came out instead of asking us to move. It was rude and made us uncomfortable to be yelled at for parking in an open spot in front of our room. As for the room itself it was very spacious and the view from the windows was beautiful over looking the lake. The down side was the whole place smelled like consistent burnt food that we could not get to go away. The floor was filthy and sticky. All surfaces and cabinets were sticky like someone wiped them with syrup. The bathroom door wouldnt close and the main room's shower had a trickle for water pressure. We all had to share the tub/shower in the add on room. TVs worked fine, beds were comfortable. The elevator would take forever to come up and the button to call it wouldn't light up and register. Couldnt open the dishwasher to use it and the stove was high only.

I was very disappointed about not being able to enjoy the patio. The patio furniture and entire patio area was filthy. Dead insects, spiders and spiders webs everywhere. Also, stairway was not cleaned, dead bugs everywhere.
They also were unwilling to work with us with moving us to the first floor due to my niece medical conditions, we were told that the Presidential Suite were at full capacity, which it did not appear to be.

I have traveled to many countries and all over the US. I have never had a more miserable experience at a property in my 54 years. I had a two bedroom suite with a kitchen. The property is infested with cockroaches and rodents, the Air conditioning rattled excessively from two buildings all night long to the point we couldn’t sleep, they advertised that they are a resort with boating, stables, restaurant etc. they were all discontinued amenities, the key lock system locked us from the unit every time the door was opened and closed causing us to drive back to the office to get new keys each time (the property is massive) the pools were shut down most of the stay, the management and staff are so overwhelmed with everyone’s problems that they don’t return phone calls or emails. I would never consider giving this property a second chance. We moved to a different property in the middle of our stay.

We had a great stay. Rained a bit, but we still had a couple opportunities to go swimming. Lots of activities available. The property is a bit dated. The hotel rooms were still nice, just with some wear. You do get a lot of value between the pricing, amenities and views. Looks to be a good place for family gatherings.

Came here after Hurricane Beryl to find some AC and power. It's a beautiful hotel. The kids enjoyed the pool and the gym. It's right on the river and has access to a nice walking trail. We did a bat boat tour too. The food at the hotel is expensive but is of good quality. The breakfast buffet is really nice too. Overall, glad we chose this hotel for our "hurricane vacation".

Had another great stay at this resort. The stay was great, comfy rooms (we stayed in a 2 bedroom - King), all the amenities you need are available here, the room had everything you need to cook, and a very nice balcony. This place is full of amenities including an arcade, pool, very nice put-put golf course, lake Conroe, a GYM and even a restaurant. They have activities to do throughout the weekend as well. The staff was very friendly as always and Joseph continues to be THE MAN. He is very polite, makes checking in lightening fast, explains everything and answers all questions and provides a map to navigate this huge awesome resort. Give this man a raise! We will be back again and again.

The Grand room was spacious, and I enjoyed being able to prepare most of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. This saved a lot of money versus going out to eat for every meal. No horses or restaurant on site anymore. We played mini golf and enjoyed the pools and hot tub.

This was supposed to be a romantic birthday and Mother's Day stay for us. I checked in earlier in the day and had set up our room with flowers, wine, food, etc. The hotel door key was not working when we tried to get in later - after check-in. While the security guard was able to get us into another room for the night, he was rude and seemed to be in a hurry to just be "done" with us. Most of our things were in the original room, making the first night a horrible experience. The next morning, we went to the front desk, and the young girl informed us we could not stay in the "make-up room. There were no apologies from her or the security guard. The hotel is marketed as a resort, the rooms were rustic cabins tiny showers, and in need of some serious TLC. I am disappointed and would not recommend

We loved our stay here! Staff was so kind and helpful. We loved all the amenities available to us and how much there is to do! Beautiful area to stay! We loved our little cabin which offered a good size kitchen with all the cookware available to use!
I will say the bathtub could use an update as it was stained so I was hesitant to use it. But everything was amazing other than that!

I like the property it self and the staff are so accommodating! Will be staying again.

We absolutely loved our stay. The only downside was a youth baseball team running around running doorbells and knocking on doors during the night, but management quickly resolved that issue. We enjoyed everything about our stay

Visit was very disappointing because based on website I was led to believe I was getting a room in front of Lake Conroe but instead they gave me a cabin deep in the forest, far away from the lake. I complained abd they offered me an upgrade (and made it sound like they were doing me a big favor) for additional $85 or 90...
Cabin was nice but not what I was planning for.

I liked that most of the activities were close enough to walk to but not so close that you had to directly on top of other people.

The amenities are great and this was the perfect place to gather with family.

Great property. Wish it partnered with more wedding venues on transportation

I liked the layout of the rooms . The kitchen was very well useable. The only suggestion I have is that on patio there needs to be a ceiling fan or maybe a fan in the corner in ceiling. There were some tiny flying insects on the patio and it was hard to sit out there. They didn't bite, just annoying. They also came inside. Every morning the stove was covered where they had came to nite light on microwave.

Overall, this place is great! Sure, the rooms are a little dated and with that comes some cleanliness issues- but overall we had a wonderful stay! It felt like we were at a summer camp sort of. Our kids (3 and 5) loved it.

Myself, daughter, and 2 grandchildren stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that had a kitchen, full sized fridge, and dishwasher. All utensils and dashes included with a small outdoor grill as well. VERY clean a quiet. The amenities are wonderful. Excellent service and plenty of children's activities.

The lake next to the property was beautiful. Wished they had more options for kayaking with small kids. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived.

Liked the Activity Center with something for all ages to do, especially when it was too hot to go outside.

Skip this “resort”! We had a power outage at our home, and called ahead to ask if we could check in earlier than 3pm since it’s so hot in Texas, and we needed to find a cool place to stay while my husband worked and used the Wi-Fi. The man we spoke to said it shouldn’t be a problem since they weren’t busy. We arrived at 12:30, and they said our room wouldn’t be ready until 2pm, so we went and got lunch and returned at 2. They said the room still wasn’t ready and it would be another hour. The kids played at the arcade and then after an hour they still said it would be another hour or so… WHAT?! I ended up taking the kids down to the pool while my husband stayed in the lobby to get work done, but our room wasn’t ready until after 5pm. It was so dead at the resort, I am unsure why they made us wait so long. The pools all felt like a hot tub, so no relief from the heat outside. When we got to our room, it was so outdated and the baths and sinks and dishwasher all were so old and stained with orange water stains. This place needs a SERIOUS overhaul. We were so glad our power was back on at our home the next morning so we could leave and go back home. We will never make the mistake of staying here again. Find a different holiday inn, or even a Hampton inn or spring hill suites or ANYTHING else. This was gross.
