The hotel is well situated, within walking distance to Complex Desjardins and Metro Berri. Close to shopping and restaurant, food options. Comfortable stay however the cleaning products the hotel uses is very strong and lingered in the room. The heating/cooling system which was left on did not remove the strong smell. Please consider using an alternative odourless cleaning product.

Excellent place, great location. I've been here twice and will come back again.

Place is ok. It's walking distance to happening streets in downtown with restaurants and bars. Parking could be an issue because their own parking gets full. But they guide to another parking building which is a 5 minutes walk. This place is ok if you're not picky with over all looks of a hotel. Rooms are good, clean, beds are made well.

The front desk lady is always amazing and helps with anything I need extra, etc. Great cheap spot right downtown.

The stay was okay. The hotel is clean and good enough for a short stay. However, the beds are not comfortable. We had to request more towels and pillows at the reception. The walls doesn’t stop noise from the street and other rooms.

We stayed for one night, rooms were very clean and real spacy, beds very comfortable, rooms were warm, washroom clean and also spacey

Run down property. Everything was broken or not functioning. TV, hair dryer, telephone, tower hunger broken drawers, ect all broken. About service: check in is at 4pm. arrived at 2 pm and didn't allowed me to check in unless y pay $20. If I want to store my luggage would ask for $4 per luggage (that's for 2 hours). No washrooms at the lobby, I have to go to a restaurant near by. No breakfast, just coffee in the morning. Location is ok, two blocks to a small China Town. Transportation to and from the airport by bus #747 at the door. I give a 2 star for the location and transportation, but as hotel property I would give a 1 star.

Hotel could have been cleaner and the rooms were definitely date but the location was extremely convenient and the bed comfort was a 10/10

Very confortable room, very good price, but veryuncordial welcme at front desk. Pvrall did the job.

Was very okay,
Bedding and beds were clean and comfortable but over all repair of the hotel was out of date and not amazing.
Bathroom was missing towel bar, there was a tissue stuffed in the peephole of the room door on the inside, paint, wallpaper and drywall damaged in multiple places, over all its out of date and doesnt look like repairs or esthetic are much of a priority.
Given the prices in Montreal its okay for the lower end of pricing but next time i will certainly spend more to stay somewhere nicer.
Check in was fast and easy and the front desk attendant was friendly.

Simple place, quick check-in but limited parking space. They will send you to a nearby parking garage which gets cheap after 5pm.

Nice staff confortable beds

Room had nice new floors and a renovated bathroom. Still shabby in various ways. Main problem is that major construction at property next door began at 5:30 am and it was difficult to sleep much after that.

excellent value, was clean and comfortable, there is a parking garage nearby, the location is a very short walk to all the action on Saint-Catherine Street

Very clean and spacious, especially considering the price and great location. I saw a lot of people complaining in the reviews about the loud construction. It was taking place directly outside my window and I never woke up from it nor was I disturbed by it. Great stay!

Chrome Hotel in Montreal is great value for your dollar. It was the most economical hotel with the best location possible. The Airport shuttle 747 bus drops you off right across the street from the hotel. Cost is $11.00 and it gives you 24 access to bus and metro. The hotel is only a 4 block walk to Old Montreal where we spent most of our time for the 4 days we were there. You are a 2 block walk to China Town which has so many wonderful restaurant choices all at a reasonable cost.
Our room was very basic but the bed and linings were very comfortable. Room is only cleaned every 3 days which for a 4 day stay was okay. You can go to the front desk for more/clean linings if you need The front desk was quick and great when we requested a room change due to construction noise. The common areas have been renovated but the rooms themselves need to be updated. But as I said before, for what we paid we were totally satisfied. Would stay here again

Comfortable and clean. Great value for money.

Central location. Clean room. Very good for solo short stay.
2.0
Location pretty good. Bed decent size and comfortable enough.
Bag storage charge unwelcome, particularly if you turn up an hour before check in and dont want to sit in reception.
Hot water came thought both hot and cold taps. Shower unusable as water was scolding even when set to lowest temperature, even if letting it run for a while to adjust.
They insist on a security deposit 'in case you smoke', even if you've specified no smoking room on the booking on the off chance smoking rooms do exist. No point challenging the logic as they simply say you have to pay it or not stay. Also state five tk ten days for refunding, which seems excessive.
Fair to say, wasnt impressed and unlikely to stay there if in the area again.
Hairdryer also not attached to wall.

Great location close to Old Port and the subway. Good find for a weekend girls’ trip in your early 20s, as there are truly no frills and it was the cheapest option on this site. However, for a romantic weekend, this place gives you nothing. The bed was old, lumpy, and squeaky, with insufficient blankets and pillows. We found it odd that patrons were forced to ring a doorbell to be let into the hotel past 11 pm, with the front desk staff member being the deciding body that determined our ability to sleep where we paid to. Furthermore, the hallways were dimly lit and a little creepy, with outdated carpeting and wall art. The furniture in the room was much of the same. The room gets a few points because it was pretty spacious. Overall, however, it was a very average, bordering bad, experience.

The room was east facing, and there is very loud construction going on to the building next door on that side. The room was dated, but clean, and in a bit of disrepair. The restaurant on the ground floor is also closed to construction. The biggest benefit is its proximity to both St Catherine st and Old Montreal

The staff were nice but the rooms were smelly and not clean (beds and sheets were ok)... There were no windows to open to get fresh air and the air inside the rooms was stale... The air conditioner was noisy.
We asked the Reception to give us another room but the room they offered us was worse than the first one...
The neighborhood was not walkable at night time...

I hope bottled water can be added to the room

State of the property needs to worked on, pics on their on hotels.com actually fooled me

Not the best area of Montreal for the amount we paid for the hotel. The pictures online look better than the hotel.

Room was less than satisfactory - rigs were all stained, the main light flickered on and off the whole time, the shower got freezing cold if you ran water of flushed the toilet. Room was dirty, the drink vending machine had towels around it to keep water away fro
The floor due to leaking. The furnishings were old and beat up, the mattress didn’t fit the bed frame. Also the window shades didn’t close so the lights from outside shined in while trying to sleep. The toilet ran continuously unless you physically lifted the handle. The entry door required pushing hard to ensure it closed properly.
4.0
Property was very dated. The rooms were very quiet. The wallpaper in bathroom was held on with scotch tape. The beds were like sleeping on a concrete floor. Also stingy on cleaning (only every 3 days) and with towels. Each room was different. Ours had a microwave but our relatives did not. The staff were very unfriendly to the point of being rude. The picture above with all the red chairs is inaccurate. They had 2 arm chairs and an extremely lumpy couch in lobby and the restaurant was closed to renovations but no work was being done, I think it was just an excuse to be closed.
4.0
I don’t understand that they don’t do room cleaning, changing bath towels, hand towels and bedding etc. every three days. It’s ridiculous and not hygienic.
The reception staff are not professional. They will accused the other staff’s information is unreliable and not honest when quoting transportation price. They tempt to add some cost on top of the quotation which is not right.

Great location. BUT, if booked through Hotel.com, I have to pay a fee per luggage for storage after check out. I was told this service will be complimentary if we booked directly instead of through an agent.
How disappointed!

I loved the location of the hotel. Parking was hard to find on your own. But once the hotel explained where and how to get in, it was good. The hotel is nice, it could be cleaner and our shower had a leak and the bathroom was clogged once but they came quick to fix it. A fire alarm went off during our stay but not sure what happened there. Other than that, my bed had a huge dent in the center, but if I had to rate it, I would give it 4/5 because the location is fantastic and the star was friendly and helpful.

The customer service is not the best. Parking was not available in the same building.

Place was clean. Check in was easy. Garage was small but we been lucky to have a spot. Location is close to all main attractions, old town and port. Easy access to highway.

The property was not like the stated pictures they use online. It was an average hotel, boring special. Minor things were broken (cabinet door handle, mini fridge needed defrosting, bathroom shower temperature were reversed, sink facet moved and needed to be tightened... lobby decor and furniture and the room decor and bedding were not like the pictures. Elevator was old. It all adds up and created a feeling so the hotel didn't seem to worth what we paid.

the hotel location is OK.
The attitude of the front-desk night staff was bad.
The parking location is far-away.
some equipment (e.g. Lamp ) and was broken
