About this cottage rental

This unique 400 square foot studio casita created by my husband, James (an award winning landscape designer), is surrounded by beautiful gardens, artfully crafted stucco walls, flagstone walkways, a lovely private patio, its own paved driveway, and stone columns, all creating a feeling of peace and serenity.

Easily considered one of the most picturesque areas in Sedona, with many trailheads just steps outside the front door, this is a hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers paradise.

The indoor living space has a high vaulted ceiling and plenty of windows to take in the light and beauty of the outdoor garden scenery.

Included is a smart Television with Roku to connect to your own streaming accounts.
There is a 3 drawer dresser and a wall mounted clothing hanger rack.
The organic queen size bed is incredibly comfortable dressed with super soft cotton sheets and comfy pillows.

The kitchenette has a small mini refrigerator with small freezer, Breville compact smart oven, 1 burner induction stove, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, blender, dishes, utensils and cooking ware.

For longer term rentals all bedding and bathroom linens will be washed weekly on the premises. For personal laundry there is a laundromat in town.

My wife and I stayed here and could not ask for a more perfect vacation home. Not only is it close (walking distance) to hiking trails. For us It was conveniently located near the Wineries in Sedona/Jerome area. Which is where we spent most of our time when we weren’t relaxing in Lara and James private Casita. This property is beautifully designed and landscaped. We spent our mornings eating breakfast on the back patio and our evenings star gazing up at the dark night sky. Lara is very communicative and available for any questions about the local area. We had an unfortunate issue upon check out. (I locked our keys in the car) and Lara was understanding and accommodating beyond belief! We will certainly look to stay here again next time.

This perfectly located Zen Casita was beautiful, clean, easy to access, and provided everything we needed/wanted for our stay Communication with Lara and James was very easy from the time of booking, all the way through to departure for as much (or little) as you wanted. They made a point to understand what your goals were for being in the area, and then make recomendations based on that. Will definitely return and recommend this beautiful rental!

From our first communication with Lara ahead of our arrival, she was so accommodating and personable. The Casita is well laid out, clean and had everything we needed! The location is a very short walk to the best view of Cathedral Rock you’ll find. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Lara!

This garden casita was everything I needed for my Sedona adventure. It was never too warm (I chose April for my visit) to need the AC on, the views are stunning, and the owner was very communicative and thoughtful. The view of the stars from the patio was wonderful if you don’t wear yourself out with all the hikes. Would rebook next time I’m in town!

Perfect from the moment we checked in. The Casitas is the perfect location in Sedona. Lara and James have thought of everything, from the comfy bed to the wonderful backyard. Stargazing on a clear night is magical. Perfect for a get away. We definitely will be back.

We stayed on this property for a week in mid-February 2024. It had everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was close to the things we wanted to do and was in a nice neighborhood. Lara was a great host. She greeted us shortly after we arrived, checked in on us several times via text, and provided us with ideas of things to do.

The Garden Casita was perfect for my stay in Sedona! The building and grounds are lovely, and Lara is a fantastic host. She thought of everything I could possibly need. She even asked if I celebrated a holiday and had a live tabletop Christmas tree waiting for me at arrival! Loved that the Garden Casita was within walking distance to a number of hiking trails, too.

My wife and I enjoyed our time at the Casita. Lara was a wonderful host who communicated frequently and clearly with us--she even helped us out with Hiking recommendations which was greatly appreciated. The Casita is every bit as wonderful as the photos make it. It was the best studio layout and space we have ever rented on VRBO! We highly recommend this little gem for a couple looking for a quiet getaway. We would most definitely rent the Casita again on a return trip.

I loved being in this neighborhood! The space was clean and had just what we needed. Lots of hikes right out the front door. The driveway was tight, but we managed. The owners had excellent hospitality, they were kind and we felt very welcomed. We will definitely book the casita when we come back!

This casita is a traveler's gem. The location makes it easily accessible to all of Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, and nearby towns. It is a charming landscaped property that provides more than a peaceful and private stay. The small house is attractively furnished for comfort and is equipped with amenities for convenience. The owner, Lara, is accessible and attentive to any questions you may have. We especially appreciated her valuable recommendations for dining options and places of interest. Most notable is the warmth and welcome of the casita. We enjoyed this vibe after each day of hiking, sightseeing, happy hours and dining. Also, at night, you can stargaze through the upper level windows!

We just loved the Garden Casita. It was just perfect for us. Very clean and cozy. Plenty of privacy. It has everything that we needed to be comfortable while we were there. Enjoyed sitting out on the patio for some of our meals and just relaxing after our busy days. We would highly recommend it. If we are ever in the area again we would love to stay here again. It was perfect for us. Thank you so much.

I have been to Sedona 4 times and this has been my best stay yet ! Just the drive to this hideaway was a picture in itself. The hosts went above and beyond with extras. I had my privacy and even my own park pass. When I return I will stay here due to location, affordability, cleanliness and overall friendliness. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend is that I wouldn’t want you to take it away from a time that I may book lol !!! But really , book it , it’s perfect !

This little property was SO nice and clean and perfect for a weekend getaway. The location was great - close to downtown but far enough away you felt like you were in your own retreat. Loved the big windows, tons of light and lovely outdoor patio. Lara and James were so kind, left little treats and were very communicative. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Sedona!

We had such a lovely time here. My husband and I recently took a trip to Sedona and stayed here. Lara chatted with us when we got there and was so kind and welcoming. It was the absolutely perfect place to come back to after our hikes. I enjoyed having my coffee in the mornings on the patio listening to and watching the birds. Everything is so quiet and peaceful around there. I just loved it. One early morning I got up to look at the stars and was astounded how bright the moon was! The little house has everything you need for your stay. Everything was perfect! Cannot recommend more.

Lara was so kind and responsive. She really went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and settled. We arrived late from a missed flight and she was there with a flashlight helping us get inside. Such a warm welcome and beautiful stay. Incredible home and location as well! Highly recommended!
