We rented this house for a family wedding that was happening near by. We had 11 people staying in the house. The house is lovely with beautiful views. I think they do a wonderful job of preparing the house for guests, but with all rentals there are always pros and cons. I'll start with the pros: The bedding was very comfortable and soft. The house was clean, plenty of towels for the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, even had foil and basic spices. Spacious, with two living rooms and the atrium in the middle of the house was the perfect place for us to store our coolers/bins/extra food and items we didn't need to unpack until we needed them. Cons: The house, especially downstairs has a musty smell. They do provide fans for each room as the house does not have ac, but the fans are old and loud when turned on. The fan in the downstairs bathroom doesn't work, and the master bathroom does not have a door on it for privacy. The kitchen is lovely, but has huge windows without window coverings and in the morning the sun is so bright you can hardly see or work in the kitchen due to the brightness. No joke, we all had to wear our sunglasses in the kitchen in the morning to deal with the sun. I would also suggest that the owner add a mirror to each bedroom. When having to share the bathrooms, it's nice to be able to do hair and make up in the bedrooms. Overall, great house! We really enjoyed our stay and it had everything we needed. The deck was great

After 45 years, five college friends gathered to catch up and enjoy some time together. The Cabin in the Woods was perfect for us; beautiful views and accommodation. Close to Port Townsend and surrounding area to hike and beach walk.

I could cook all day with the view that you had from the kitchen. It was very quiet and we had a wonderful family retreat

Overall great though not ideal for small children. Would very much recommend for adult groups or those with older kids. Spacious and beautiful cabin with an incredible view very close to multiple parks and town

Older log home with lots of charm!

Great, cute place with great views!
Love the live tree in the middle and the lights with grapes over the front porch.
If ever visit PNW again, would stay there, hopefully by then would be a door on primary bedroom en suite. (my only other complaint would be that would have been nice to have a hair dryer to use while there.)

Great location. Great house. Need I say more?

The house and property were beautiful however the oven and microwave did not work well at all. We also booked for 3 nights and there was not enough dish detergent to run the dishwasher and everyday, so we had to purchase some. There was also barely enough laundry soap to wash our clothes and towels from the house after a day at the beach.

Deck is awesome. Bathroom remodels are wonderful. Lacking in amenities like coffee pot, washcloths, closet rods, locks on slider doors, raccoon visitors in night (need warning) etc.

We came from California to do a weekend of glamping in the Port Townsend area. The cabin was perfect for our group of 8. It was beautifully designed and immaculately upkept. Ample room to stretch out for all. The kitchen was fully stacked with pans, dishes and utensils. The location is about 20 mins from Port Townsend. Not exactly central but still a stone’s throw away. Our biggest gripe was that communication with the house manager was poor; I was only able to reach them 1 in 4 times and they never responded to any of my voicemail. The property was also difficult to find so a bit more detailed direction would be appreciated. All in all though, the property was gorgeous and worth a visit.

Beautiful views and lovely outdoor spaces. Hosts are very responsive. Great for a larger party to stay and feel spread out.

The views were wonderful and the property was secluded and quiet. The house was clean however we did see a few mice and there were ants in the kitchen. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

My family rented this house to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. As seen in the pictures, this house has a stunning view. Waking up every morning and looking out over the ocean whi;e sipping coffee was lovely.
All the beds were very comfortable with soft sheets and nice pillows. There were plenty of towels and supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper. The host thoughtfully provided sleep masks so guests can sleep in despite the early morning sun.
We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away (with amazing and affordable salmon!) so it was easy to make meals for our large crowd.
There were a few issues that needed to be addressed when we first arrived, but Red Awning and the local property manager were responsive and helpful with quick solutions.
For nearby activities, we took walks on the beach and short hikes, explore Port Townsend, and went on a wonderful kayak trip with Olympic Kayak Tours! Thank you for a memorable trip!

The view from the balcony when we were there was just like in the pictures, and it is a very relaxing view. There is no beach access, which is now in the description, and that is because you'd need a climbing rope and protection from prickly undergrowth!
We had 9 adults and a small child around the dinner table which ticks off one requirement.
Beds were comfortable, towels nice and fluffy. Never ran out of hot water.
There may or not be wifi, if this is important for you check the details.
There was easily space for 3 cars. Could squeeze a 4th in but then turning around gets tight as the property is at the end of a longish single track road.
Port Hadlock is 5 mins away with a good supermarket.

Missing some key items: coffee pot, wash cloths, bath mats, locks on some sliding doors, knobs on stove words rubbed off. Maybe new at being rented out? Bathroom remodels very nice. Kitchen remodel nice too. Deck awesome
