Overall this was a great home. Wish we had more time to explore the entire community. The pool was always busy but never felt crowded.
Brand new house was exceptionally clean and had a good amount of kitchen items. HUGE closet in master bedroom but none of the rooms had dressers with drawers. Made it hard to unpack.
There was an info packed binder with tons of info about community and local area which was very helpful.
Not sure if it was just the week we were there but I reached out to our property manager about renting golf carts. Took a long time for her to get back to us. She explained that she had a medical procedure that day which is completely understandable that she was not responsive. But I didn't get an out of office VM or email to indicate that she was not around and when I called a general office number they told me I had to talk to the property manager about my question. Basically by the time I heard back from her we never rented them. There was conflicting information in the binder about golf cart pricing which is what made me reach out in the first place. If that info had been in the binder then I would have not tried to reach out to her.
Please note that this is NOT a beach front house. You have to drive to any beach but the community pool was very nice and a convenient walk. The town of Beaufort is located close by and a quick drive away to the shops/restaurants.

Every year we take our grandsons on a week long vacation. This year we took them across the country to Beaufort NC to spend our week with my niece and her family. The setting was perfect. The host, Shay, went above and beyond. The community pool was so well cared for and practically in the back yard. There were so many things to do and see. The house was centrally located. We had a fantastic week.

The house was beautiful, the neighborhood is very nice. The amenities are lovely. We walked a lot. Only went to the pool once. The fitness room is very small and used a lot, so recommend going at an off time. The only issue we had was the trash from the previous renters was over flowing, smelly and had maggots and flies all over it and it was left in the garage. Unfortunately, they had put it all in the recycle bin, and it was not a recycle pick-up week. There is no clear place outside to put it.

The house was beautiful and the perfect size for our family. I loved that there was three bedrooms on the first floor and that the house was close to the pool. The only thing we wish the house had was blinds in the living room ( especially at night for privacy reasons). Other than that everything was on point! We would definitely book again in the future.

The Blue Heron was wonderful. We were in town for a family wedding at the Beaufort Hotel. Short 2 minute drive to the venue. The house blew us away! Very clean and new. Plenty of room for a large family. Loved the covered patio which included a ceiling fan. Also, roomy attached garage for your vehicle with bicycles available for use. Master suite was amazing! The closet was big enough to be a small bedroom! We didn't have time to use the community amenities, such as the pool, but they looked amazing too. We were really glad we chose this home for our visit. Jim, Canton MI

We all had so much fun! beautiful place! Great location to everything! Beach, shops, restaurants! Enjoyed cooking and just being at the cottage! The bikes were a fun surprise!! We will be back!! The key fob that was left for us stopped working at the end of the week. We found one that worked on the front porch. Thanks so much!!
