Excellent view and close to beach
The fact that I was informed 2 hours before our arrival that they are busy with renovations and the bar won't be open It would have been good to informed me before I did the booking . Also no complementary coffee, tea or sugar. I really think that the property should have informed me as you book and the expect to pay for what you advertise.

Right on the beachfront, access to beach, serene view, privacy, spacious and unique
Breakfasts can probably be improved for those who don't do self catering.
Water leak from shower in our unit #10

I loved the views along with the actual king suite room.
Couldn’t turn on the jacuzzi , aircon wasn’t coming on and water was a problem in the bathroom. Taps shot more air out of it then water.

The lady that checked us in was helpful and friendly.
Nice that the beach is just a short walk away.
Bed is comfortable, linen was clean. Aircon worked well.
The linen needs an update, stains and a hole here and there.
Rooms definitely need some TLC, a coat of paint, straighten the shelves.. dust the cobwebs.. just small things can pick up the rooms a bit and better toilet paper would be nice, doesn’t have to be expensive but definitely not that cheap.
Over all I would say it’s not worth the rate being charged. The property could be so much better, as it has lots of potential.

Location of the lodge
1. It was dirty.
2. There were cockroaches in the bathroom.
3. The cushions on my bed had stains (sweat stains).
4. The bed itself was hard - with bumps on the mattress.
5. The cupboards were smelly with a strong unpleasant smell; I couldn't put anything inside the wardrobe.

Gracelands lodge has a beautiful scenery from the room as well as around the lodge. The accomodation itself is extremely beautiful and extremely clean. Theres a pool and a private beach that is extemely clean and quiet that makes this experience all the more worth while.

Set in the most fabulous Ramsgate with private access to the beach. The unit was lovely and spacious and provided for what we needed. The beds were comfortable.
The unit is infested with gecko lizards that moved around freely indicative of the habitat being natural to them. Whilst that was somewhat creepy we got used to them when we saw them even in the reception area moving about under cupboards.

Close to the beach. Staff are friendly. Rooms come with WiFi. Good ocean views. Central to restaurants and shops around you.

The host, Collette, was absolutely amazing.
Extremely welcoming, friendly, and made my son's time there very enjoyable.
The location was great, with access directly to the beach, however, weather was horrible, and we didn't get to actually enjoy this perk
Staff were friendly.
The rooms were not cleaned properly and had rice grains and food bits on the floor even after the room was "cleaned" twice by staff.
There were a horrible amount of gecko dropping on the walls, in the cupboards, back of bed, and floors.
The showers need to be ventilated properly or extractor fan placed in bathroom as showers had a lot of mould and made it quite uncomfortable to shower in whilst avoiding standing or touching the mould in the smaller shower.
The huge pool at the back that is standing empty and quite dirty is an eyesore and needs to either be cleaned or removed.
We actually could not complete our stay of 5 nights and actually left after 2 nights as i because absolutely nauseous after seeing all the droppings and having to try and clean it ourselves.
The place has a lot of potential and can be a true gem, however it requires a lot of maintenance and closer attention to cleaning staff.
As much as we loved Collette, I unfortunately do need to give an honest review.
It broke my heart to leave under the circumstances but we truly hope that it can be turned around.
