Charming 2BR-2BA Carillon Beach Cottage - "Lazy Lizard'"

Welcome to “Lazy Lizard”, a charming cottage located just yards away from the sandy white beach and emerald blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. "Lazy LIzard" is nestled among the palms in Carillon Beach, an upscale private community just 2 miles from Scenic Highway 30a. Our coastal style home features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lovely front porch and an outdoor gazebo with seating for 6!

The main level of the Lazy Lizard features a full kitchen, a dining area, a spacious living area and a full bathroom with standing shower and convenient back porch access. The fully stocked kitchen offers a gas range and stainless-steel appliances, and all the cookware, dishware, and silverware needed to prepare and serve a home-cooked meal. Guests can enjoy family, friends, and food while gathered around the kitchen island or relax on cozy seating in the living area. The living area is complete with a sleeper sofa and an HDTV.

The master and guest bedrooms are located upstairs and share a spacious bathroom with whirlpool tub. The master bedroom has a plush, cozy king bed and smart television. The guest room offers two twin beds and an HDTV. For your convenience, 323 Beachside Drive offers complimentary WIFI, two car parking, an outdoor shower, and a stackable washer/dryer located on the main floor.

There is also a seasonal beach set up with 2 chairs and an umbrella available for guest use. This property is located directly across from Dune Walkover #4, so there is no hassle finding parking at the beach or hauling your beach necessities long distances, just walk right over! The Carillon Beach community is known for its architecturally designed beach walkovers.

In addition to its pristine beaches, Carillon Beach offers three swimming pools, two tennis courts, basketball court, children's playground and picnic area. Guests can also enjoy nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment or take a stroll on the Village Green! No matter where you are, fun is never far away at Carillon Beach!

*The neighboring lot is currently undergoing construction. Although we are excited for community improvements, we do not have control over any scheduled work on neighboring property. Any work that occurs will be done within association regulations and approved work hours.*

CARILLON BEACH PARKING: The community of Carillon Beach requires guest vehicles to be registered for access into the community. You are allowed up to 2 vehicles at the property. The association charges $35/vehicle to access the community and will email you prior to your arrival for you access information into the community.

CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

NOTE: The total reservation cost includes the nightly rate, clean fee, damage waiver, transportation fee (for select properties), processing fee and tax. By requesting a quote for this property, you agree to be added to our email subscription list.

The property was clean with an awesome location directlyacross from a walkover to the beach. This was our 1st stay in Carillon and we absolutely loved the property/community. The check in and check out process was smooth and no issues. The owner was amazing and communication was great.

This was our second time staying at this cute house with wonderful location. We love Carrilon and will likley return next year. The location of the property is absolutely perfect which is why we stayed a second time. We were however once again disappointed to find that the downstairs bathroom still has all kinds of issues-the shower knobs don’t work well and are not marked hot/cold and still one falls off. Also you cannot shower upstairs and downstairs at the same time-the hot water only works in one bathroom at a time which was difficult with a family of 4. The grout in the bathroom needs deep cleaning or stripping-rather gross and not well maintained. Same with the outdoor shower. Some attention to the bathroom could easily make this place feel luxurious. Very comfy beds.

Truly an amazing property and location. Beach access was just steps away from the front door. Home had all the amenities necessary for a family of 4. We could not have asked for anything better. If you are looking for peace and quiet away from all the craziness this is by far the best you will find. We plan to be back and even discussed making this an annual family trip.

This is our 5th time staying in Carillon Beach. We love the location with Publix across the road, the quiet beach and safe, quaint neighborhood. The Lazy Lizard was just enough for our family of four, very clean and comfortable and just across the street from the beach access. We thank you for a great stay!

We traveled as a family (my wife and our two teenage boys). The Lazy Lizard was perfect for us because of the location and amenities. Only about 75 feet from the front door to beach crossover. Also, easy walking distance to the basketball court and Paradise Gym (both huge for our boys.) The included free beach chair setup was a nice touch that we used daily!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very cute and in a great location but for the price it definitely needs a little tlc and better cleaning. Also there was one small bar of body soap in the entire house-no hand soap anywhere. We were moving the one bar from bathroom to bathroom to kitchen which was awful until we went to Publix. Walking to the beach was perfect and the pool was simple to get to however the pool codes were wrong. Security told us they had all been changed recently but we weren’t informed. When we arrived around 4:15 (check-in at 4) the cleaners were still working and so we had to wait/drive around until they were done in the rain which was rough after our long drive. We had a few general concerns about the locks on the two back doors—both need repairing and didn’t seem to close or latch correctly. As a quick fix they are pony-rigged with an additional metal bolt type lock to make sure they fully shut but this seems less safe than having locks that actually work. The main front door locks fine however there are no curtains on the door or window and you are very much exposed in the main living space as the property sits close to the side walk where people regularly walked. The downstairs shower knobs regularly fell off and the toilet struggles to flush. The beds were very comfortable though which was nice. Found a large number of pistachio shells inside one of the chairs-overall cleaning was weak. Needs updated chairs on front porch as these were rusted with paint peeling off so we mostly sat on the steps. A cute house with a great location that seems to not be getting the attention it needs. Price definitely didn’t reflect what we got. House we stayed at last year for half the price was much better kept.

Lovely smaller home with 2 beds/1 bath up and 1 bath downstairs. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. (Toaster cord appeared burned so we did not use just in case). Note upstairs tub has high edge which was difficult for one of our guests to step over (downstairs shower has low entry). The previsit communication felt a little challenging- must download an app, wording is harsh, and some conflicting check out procedures in app vs on the fridge, but there was a hairdryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Actual entry and exit was simple.
