Wonderful property where you might least expect it. Beautiful harbor view and a perfectly clean and well appointed property. Plenty of room but great communal space too.

Our family loved the location and the nice jester from the owner (the welcome gifts). The view of the ocean is breathtaking. We had such a wonderful time. The town is quaint and beautiful. Thank you for giving us such a memorable stay in your charming gem.

It was a perfect experience for our family. Ample separate areas for children and adults, good sleeping situation for 10 people, nice kitchen, big enough table for family to be together, screened in balconies, well-provisioned, attractive layout and decorating, easy access to beach and surrounding amenities, fun games and books. Couldn’t have been better. When asked what their favorite of the trip was, a repeated phrase was, “The house.” (From both children and adults.)

The whole trip exceeded our expectations! From the quaint town of Lincolnville to this fabulous property, things couldn't have been more perfect. We took day trips north and south, happy to return each evening to our quiet respite.
There was nothing the home lacked for - from the Q-tips I forgot to pack down to plenty of coffee. This home is super comfortable and well equipped. And the location is central to so many fun places. We liked Bar Harbor a lot. Our favorite town though was Camden - just a few minutes away from Lincolnville.
Our two favorite places to eat - The Whales Tooth (right across the street) and Dot's Cafe and Catering (5 minutes by car).
Overall, our trip couldn't have been any better.

The Captains Quarters was a perfect home base for our first family trip to Maine. Being across from the beach was so beautiful. We experienced watching the tides come in and out, the property had all the things you would need for the beach- beach chairs, blanket, toys. There were toiletries available in case you forgot something and they provided a welcome back for the kids and a cooler bag for us! 1 hour from Bangor, 1.5 from Bar Harbor, 15 min from Camden, and an hour from Boothbay. Perfect home base to experience so much of Maine. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location, wonderful property & wonderful hosts. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation!! My elderly mother who grew up in the area was able to enjoy all the luxuries of the condo and location because everything was handicap accessible (stair lift is an especially helpful feature) with lots of space for everyone! The hosts were friendly & very attentive to our needs. Thanks so much!!

Everything was perfect and was represented in the listing exactly the way we found it. Local places to eat and drink are within walking distance. Communication with the owner was simple and always prompt. Going back is a not a question of if, but how soon we can go back again!

The accommodations were clean, well-stocked with necessities and information about the area, and very comfortable. It was a perfect spot for a family stay that includes children! The location was also excellent for activities in the area.
