‘Waratah’ exemplifies Queenscliff’s rich history and is a perfect year-round vacation spot. This charming heritage residence is located in central Queenscliff, on the main shopping street, within easy reach of the shopping village, parks, and the beach. With it capability to house up to eight guest with three of the bedrooms having a private ensuite, making Waratah a magnificent spot to base yourself for your next family get together or catch up with friends.
The house maintains the essence of a bygone era while providing all modern conveniences for a cozy stay. Stepping onto the inviting front verandah, you’ll notice the stunning lead lights and other period details.
The spacious hallway with high ceilings and period lighting extends through the home. The front lounge is generously sized, perfect for relaxing with a book, chatting with friends, or simply observing passersby. It is one of two sizable living areas, providing ample space for extended family gatherings.
The house features three main bedrooms all a generously size, each featuring a queen-size bed, storage cupboards, ornamental fireplaces, and private ensuites. A fourth ‘kids’ bedroom offers two single beds, reverse cycle air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and storage.
The ornate hallway leads to a light-filled kitchen and living area, ideal for quality time with loved ones. The fully equipped kitchen, with a double oven, coffee machine, and spacious central dining table, is suitable for group cooking sessions.
The relaxed living area includes a TV and comfortable couches, while a nearby powder room offers laundry facilities. Glass doors open to a north-facing decked entertaining area with a dining table, cozy seating, and a BBQ – a tranquil, private space for any time of day.
‘Waratah’ is a short walk from Queenscliff’s restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and a supermarket, with access to scenic walking trails and the beach.
With its ability to accommodate multiple couples or families, this home serves as an ideal hub for enjoying Queenscliff’s various events.
Located just a 30-minute drive from Geelong and 90 minutes from Melbourne, ‘Waratah’ is also reachable via the Queenscliff Sorrento Ferry
This home has a 3 night min stay most of the year, 4 night for the Queenscliff Music Feasible and Easter and a 7 night for Christmas 20th December until 20th January.
LINEN: Beautiful linen and towels are provided, just bring your own beach towels.
CAN YOU BRING PETS: on application with approval from the owner
PARKING: Waratah does not have any car access. Parking is on the wide front nature strip this is all day unpaid parking and there is always plenty of spots… especially due to the central location you will most likely park your car and not need it for the rest of your stay.
FLOORPLAN:
The Large main bedroom with WIR to ensuite is not available for guest’s use and is LOCKED.
The library is not available for guests to use but will be opened soon. Please let is know if you would like this opened as it is another bedroom and can be opened at an extra cost.
BATHROOMS: 3 bedrooms have ensuites and guests in the 4th bedroom with 2 single beds will need to share one of the ensuites for showering there is an additional powder room.
*Deposit or Full payment will be processed as soon as the booking is confirmed.
*$100 booking fee is non-refundable as this booking is powered by QCHB, so do yourself a favour and read up on their T&C's on their website.

We had a great family time for my 70th. Having 3 bathrooms was a real bonus. We had a family bbq Saturday night at the accommodation. It was lovely being altogether sitting around the big table. The beds were really comfortable which meant we all slept well. The house couldn’t have been in a more central location. It was clean and welcoming. The accommodation was everything we could have hoped for.
