Very clean, cozy. We used the fireplace on chilly night and it heated well. Comfortable beds. Grandkids enjoyed the game garage. It was great being on a channel where they could kayak safely. This was one of the most well stocked kitchens- dishes, paper products, cleaning supplies, etc. which was great as we did a lot of cooking.
Even though it said it accommodated 8, wish there would have been seating for 8 at the table. Laundry room was a bonus, but the hard water did stain whites so be careful.
Patio was nice but 2 chairs were hard to use because bolts were missing.
Don’t know whether VRBO or local charges , but cleaning and host fees seemed high compared to some.
Despite some of the inconveniences it was a great stay.

Overall an ok place to stay if you do not have expectations.
It hits the marks for outdoor amenities, a fire pit, grill, and a dock. The kayaks were a bonus. The bags game made for a fun time. We didn’t use the game room but I’m sure it would be a great bonus space.
Indoors needs much improvement. Cleanliness was left much to be desired. It smelled of pet urine (windows needed to be open all of the time) and the kids socks were black from the floor. The living room did not accommodate the number in our group.
Note there is one shower for the property so managing showering for 8 adults will take some creativity. The water was so rusty that it left huge stains in the shower and toilets, and tasted terrible.
Kitchen was well equipped. No dishwasher, so bring some paper plates. Dining seated 6.
The guest house was nice for the teen boys. There’s no working air conditioning or bathroom.
Kids enjoyed kayaking around the area and fishing off the dock. It’s quite weedy around the marina so be mindful of that. Great little launch area for the kayaks.
Lastly, a few of our crew turned up with bites in a line on their lower extremities. It could be the Minnesota mosquitoes or it could be something else. Hoping it was just the mosquitoes.

House was great! Plenty of room for everyone inside and outside! The game room, fire pit and kayak’s were great to have. The host was super helpful and on top of everything we had questions about.

For a new rental property, we had a great stay. The house was very clean and the owners had rushed to add AC just before our stay, which was great on a hot weekend.. You can tell that they making improvements to the property and it will be even better when those are complete. The bedrooms were nice size, along with common areas. Not a lot of seating in living room but nice layout to the house. We had good luck fishing from the docks or the provided kayaks within the marina that property is located on. Nice smallmouth bass, a few northerns, pan fish and tons to really small perch that the kids enjoyed catching.
Nice quiet location. The game room was an added bonus and look forward to seeing the improvements they make for it. One downside, was the kitchen lacked some storage for the food a renter brings along. Also the wifi did not reach the bunkhouse. But that wouldn't keep us from renting again.
