About this apartment rental
Nestled within the heart of St Issey, a hamlet just outside Padstow, you will find this gorgeous period home that we think is absolutely perfect for an unforgettable getaway with extended family. An 18th-century building carefully restored to its original plan, it expertly showcases the building’s past through the use of exposed Cornish slated walls, original beams, restored feature fireplaces, and other raw materials that combine in a perfect mix of old and new.
Formerly a listed Manor House, Courthouse, and Mill, the building is filled with a sense of history as well as its own unique character and sense of place. Lounge in the luxurious living spaces or enjoy a special meal together with your loved ones in the grand dining room that's flooded with that inimitable Cornish coastal light. The fantastically well-equipped kitchen means there has never been a better time to dust off the old chef's apron and put your culinary skills to the test. Here you'll find not one but four ovens, a pizza oven, Braai, and much more – so something tasty to eat is never far away.
One of our favourite things about this home has to be the garden, and we think it is the perfect place to sit back with a glass of wine and really savour that holiday feeling. Fancy a little something extra? For an additional fee, you can have the hot tub at your disposal throughout your stay. Perfect for soaking any tired muscles or simply enjoying an evening of unadulterated relaxation.
From its scenery and sand to its seafood and Sauvignon, Padstow epitomises everything we love most about a UK beach break. Explore hidden coves and their crystal-clear waters, sample the freshest fruits of the sea, or head out into the country for a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.
Home truths:
*There's accessible on-site parking right next to the building
*One bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower is on ground floor level, with its own separate entrance door and just three steps out to the car parking area, which we think makes it a possible option for some guests with mobility issues
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free upon request
*There's a dedicated playroom that any little ones are sure to enjoy
*This home has an amazing outdoor firepit
*This home can either be rented as a whole, and so sleeping up to 26 people, or in part for up to twelve guests
