About this house rental
Stay in this lavish home filled with historic charm around every corner. One of the first grand homes built in Kalispell in 1913. With tasteful updates, this home still contains all the unique architecture that goes with the history of the home. Located within minutes of downtown and just a couple blocks from the remarkable Conrad Mansion. Cozy up with the wood burning fireplace or play a game of pool, each amenity sure to make an impact. A perfect comfortable stay for the whole family.
This grand and luxurious home was built between 1911 and 1913. In 1918, Thor and Bertha Koppang purchased the home. This family was the owner of Kalispell's first Ford automobile dealership. By 1919, the dealership had sold more than a thousand Fords and their home reflected their success. This home contains rich history seen in the handcrafted wood trim, custom built ins, leaded glass doors, maple wood flooring, and intricate ceiling details. All representing a less common, very high end style designed for entertaining. The kitchen is nicely renovated with bright cabinets, quartz countertops, and high end appliances. A gracious sized living room with the comfort of a wood-burning fireplace, and a nice family room area with a sleek framed smart tv. The formal dining room is ideal for a classical family dinner or grab a seat at the bar for a friendly casual dining experience. Upstairs contains three grand bedrooms with dressers for storage, and a quaint twin sized sleeping area. There is a full bathroom with fine details within easy access to all bedrooms, in addition to a half bathroom off the end of the kitchen on the main level. In the basement you will find a carefully and uniquely crafted pool table and a nice size room that holds to the in-house washer and dryer. You will have access to the extravagant back yard that leads you to the covered parking area alongside the historic carriage house.
This neighborhood is located just on the side streets of downtown Kalispell. It contains many homes with similar historic charm. Within a 5 minute walk from downtown restaurant's and shops. Just a couple blocks from the must see Conrad Mansion. It is also within walking distance of Woodland park, which contains a duck pond, gathering pavilions, outdoor water park, hockey rink, and playground.
Within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, wineries and boutique shopping. Parking in the back is accessible from the alley. There is parking under the carports on both sides of the carriage house. Be aware that the carports are mid-size or smaller vehicles because of height. Otherwise, parking in front of the house on the street is available. All parking downtown is free of charge.
The owners of this home do visit monthly and have a cat. If you are allergic to cats please reach out with any questions.

Very clean, historic place with great charm. We enjoyed our stay and the history associated with the home. Was located close to restaurants and we enjoyed the park and walking path right across the street. Table was perfect for a traditional family dinner, with all the tableware provided. Pool table was a great addition!

The online photos only hint at what a lovely home this is. From the moment we turned the key to the front door, we felt warmth and welcome in our home away from home for the holidays.
We were informed by the property managers that the owners typically decorated for Christmas and asked if that would be OK for us. Not having to decorate while enjoying the holiday decor was definitely an added bonus!
My husband is a builder and commented several times how much he appreciated the attention to detail and careful restoration of the beautiful woodwork and built-ins throughout the home.
Having a proper dining room to share home-cooked meals, play board games, and catch up was a highlight! It was a joy cooking in the modern and well-appointed kitchen. The owners and property managers thought of every possible convenience. We would stay at this home again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

This historic home was very clean and fit our group of six very well. The kitchen is stocked nicely with a few extras you do not get when a home is not used frequently. I appreciated, not having to buy a jug of laundry soap in order to do just one load of laundry.
We are used to AC, so getting the rooms to a comfortable temp was a learning curve of when to open windows to let in cool air. The earplugs were a nice touch to help with some of the traffic noise outside. The large yard and pool table kept my children entertained.
The location of the property makes shopping and exploring Kalispell bery easy. Many things are walkable or just take a short drive to get there. Our vehicle was also able to stay at a comfortable temperature because of the covered parking.
This home would be a great place to return if we were to travel to the area again.

Our stay was lovely...a little hot..but the house was great and we utilized the BBQ and backyard. We would definitely consider for next year's horse show.
