The location was walking distance from town
No reception code entry so no support if something is wrong. 10 room only 2 upstairs, we were the only ones there but got one upstairs above were the cleaners smoke, carrying luggage up narrow stair very different, would have liked a down stairs room. Facilities we had been on the road for a week and promised access to a washing machine, the laundry and machine was full of restaurant linen, tried to make a cuppa the morning we left abd the jug didn’t work but nobody around to help. Long term residence said she had been complaining for the whole 10 weeks of her stay, only excuses like we can’t find anyone to fix it.

Ease of access
Room was bloody hot 32 degrees, cafe was shut

Location was good - easy self check in
No air conditioner or fan available in room for the warm night we had there, room was tiny - felt photos were fairly deceiving - incredibly noisy - heard visitors coming and going along with outside noise due to needing to open windows up to get air flow into the room - Overpriced no value for money

Location. Happy for last minute booking
Cleanliness. Sheets were stained. Fridge was loud and the shower head kept falling down while showering. Didn't feel safe with the pincode doors with pins that didn't look like they are changed.with any previous guest just being able to walk in.

quiet and cozy. clean room and ease of after hours access for late arrival.
perhaps a minibar or some breakfast in the room would be a nice touch.

Great location. Liked the map of Tasmania in the room. New owner was friendly. Comfortable beds. Liked the brand of tea they had and they had a coffee maker in the room. Glad twin beds were available. Photo shows nice view from room.
Would be great if they could get some USB points.

the location was perfect
hahah where do I begin
wow the room was tiny, my husband had to come out of the bathroom to dry and dress it was that small (honestly) I have never seen such a small room (glad we were not bigger people)
there were no coffee cups but I understand this as there was a coffee shop on premise but not open when we were there.
I understand this lodge may be for backpackers but please do not charge $164 a night 🤨

No Breakfast at all !!! No resteraunt !!!
No fire alarm !! which is Highly Illegal and no window exit to get out of if I fire did start !!!! Mould in rooms !!! No chairs only 2. suitcase stands !! Not even a clothes line to hang out our washing ( broken and laying on the ground !! )
The owners sons came down and acted as stand over men
*** we are elderly and are only on Pensions needed somewhere comfy and secure to stay to visit and spend quality time with our Granchildren
Pleaded for a refund to adsolutly no avail dealing with these 2. so called standover men and what I would call night club bouncers
DISGRACEFULL !!! And illegal
We need someone within YOUR COMPANY to make contact with us immediately before we put it into the authorities hands

ALL AS ABOVE !!!!! And I really don’t know how your company could take part in renting an illegal place out to anyone
This place other than just having a fresh paint on the inside would not even make. a 1 star backpackers !!!!

Really nice and friendly hosts.
The restaurant had different owners from the hotel, and had strange opening hours. 2 of 3 mornings I didn't get breakfast before going out sightseeing.
And what could have been nice evenings on the terrace with a drink, never happened since the restaurant was closed again.
But if your after brunch, it would be a good place I guess.

Lovely room in a great location; I really enjoyed the stay.
It would be great if the lock number card were put in a conspicuous location; for instance: on the table or the bed, instead of behind the door faded in white.
I accidentally locked the door while my phone was left on the table. I tried to contact the host(with my friend's help) but had no assistance. I was lucky enough that I have a good memory which helped me figure out the code to get in after a few hours.

It was a really nice and sunny room with 2 windows. It was very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful location, less than 5 minutes to the beach. And the staff was so friendly and helpful! If I come to Devonport again I will come back! :)
