The place was great and far exceeded my expectations. Everything was impeccably clean and the breakfast was excellent. Each room was spacious, had a Sky TV, facilities to make hot drinks and a quiet landing area outside the rooms to sit and eat meals. Chris and Sue were really friendly and made great hosts. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt like I owed them a few moments of my time to thank them for making our stay in Hartlepool a great one.

I thought that sleeping in the attic conversion of a bungalow (I had the whole top floor space to myself) whilst the owners/my hosts (such lovely, down to earth people) went about their lives downstairs would feel a bit weird/intrusive, but it didn't. The balance of ensuring I had everything that I needed and respect for my privacy was spot on. The bedroom, bathroom and lovely book nook/breakfast dining areas were all tastefully decorated; very cosy and homely but with a modern twist with colour schemes and accessories - and it was spotless.
I couldn't fault it.

Breakfast reasonable but not Full English a choice of items including Yoghurts,Toast,Cereals Fruit juice etc but all well presented.
Bathroom adjacent to Bedroom but as only guest that evening was not a problem

The location is stunningly beautiful, and the host graciously allocates the upper floor to the guests, ensuring a peaceful stay without any disturbances from the family members. The host's warm demeanor encourages you to fully enjoy the space. The bed is exceedingly comfortable, making it an ideal choice for a family getaway.
The host offers various breakfast options which are placed outside your room at your chosen time. Interestingly, the host is also an author. In terms of its location, No 5 resides in a secluded area that still maintains a sense of community. The wonderful Trincomalee and its picturesque waterfront are merely a 5-minute drive away. While the train station is a leisurely 10-minute stroll, the host also provides contact details for a taxi service.

a gorgeous little guesthouse and Sue was a delight. Nothing was too much trouble.
From the cleanliness, comfort down to the little touches of Vegan chocolates in my room and soya milk for me were so kind and so appreciated, there is nothing but wonderful things to say about my stay here. Thank you :)
Nothing! It was perfect :) xxx

Really clean, really comfortable bed, slept well and had plenary of space. The host was very kind and accommodating.
The room could do with a bit more hangers and a space for my suitcase so the dirty wheels don’t soil the carpet. But this is only because it was so clean that I felt bad

Stayed here for work for 4 nights. Lovely host, tidy room, continental breakfast. Fantastic location from the harbour with restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Short walk to the train station. Easy to pop in and out. Home away from home.
Nothing, it was spot on.

Superb B&B. The photos don't do it justice. Beautifully laid out and tastefully decorated. Spacious with good carpet and a modern bathroom. Away from the rest of the house, so feels private. Very central location. Really welcoming host. Highly recommend.

Cleanliness excellent, Sue amenable, friendly countenance.
Never after hundreds of hotel & b&b stays have we ever been asked to remove shoes on entry to a property, this we found quite unacceptable.
No self contained private lockeable room not even the bedroom.
Poor breakfast served on the landing, not even a hot tea or coffee offered.

Fantastic eye to detail, everything looked fresh and clean. Lovely touch with the breakfast menu, choose the night before and delivered to you in the morning . Great hosts couldn't have asked for more.
I think a mirror in the room would have been useful, but apart from that, it is totally perfect.

Host was welcoming. Rooms where clean and comfortable. We had a twin room. Shower room faces your bedroom door, but the upstairs was private as we had the whole of the top floor. Walking distance to the Marina area. Would definately book again.👍
There was nothing to dislike, but I think would have appreciated a mirror in the room for dressing / putting on makeup.. There was a mirror in the bathroom.

The house is very nice inside and the room we stayed in is one of the best we have stayed in period. nice thick comfortable carpets, lovely beds, good condiments (hot chocolate good coffee), sky box in every room and free breakfast for the price of this booking you really need to stay here and appreciation the efforts she has taken!

if you going out drinking get a taxi is a fairly short walk but a very cold one.

Lovely clean room and bathroom all newly furbished (full top floor access) with key to come and go as you wish. Private quiet cul-de-sac so felt very safe with parking etc. Walking distance to the marina. Owner very ameniable. Would definitely return.
The website could do with altering to explain that if you are booking for more than 1 person there are 2 seperate rooms available as part of the booking.

We had plenty of space, including a lovely bathroom. It was very well maintained and homely, and in the perfect location for walking to either the beach or centre.
Nothing.
