Our favorite vacation rental. Perfect for our friends who are all active seniors. My husband is in a wheelchair and this home was easy to move around in…he even enjoyed the fire pit! We did not go shopping for anything. We hope to stay here again.

Wonderfully appointed, cozy getaway mountain house. We were in town for my daughter's graduation from WCU and had family in from NY, CA and VA. Modern kitchen (and everything else), amazing porch and fire pit. The elevator was perfect for our elderly parents and everyone had a great time here.

Great location, well appointed, very comfortable. i do not like Glade plug-ins and that is my only gripe.

This property was the best VRBO we have ever stayed out. The pictures were very accurate. The host was the most organized I have ever seen. The finishes and furnishes were high quality and beautiful! We will stay here again. The driveway looks scary but is very navigable. Well done!

We celebrated my 65th birthday in Jayne's cabin, and we had the best time!
Everything was neat as a pin and very organized, (especially in the kitchen area).
Beds were comfy and linens were soft and comfortable, which I think is an important factor when on vacation.. (Who wants to sleep in a bed that sags in the middle?) The views are amazing and the cabin is very cozy!
Very convenient to downtown Waynesville.
Thank you, Jayne, for helping to make my 65th birthday so memorable. "Looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderfully cozy cabin with plenty of room. We brought my mother here for a trip to the mountains and a Christmas Day at Biltmore to mark her 80th birthday. We all had a fabulous time and this cabin and host helped to make it specatcular! Really fabulous spot.

This property was very clean, and the property manager/owner was very communicative with answering any questions or home needs. We were here for a birthday weekend/NYE, and the location was perfect. So close to activities, but felt remote. Only nitpick about the property is that there isn't an indoor stairwell, but we would still stay at this property again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin nestled in the mountains. The cabin is spacious and we loved sitting on the porch looking out at the mountains. The adorable town of Waynesville is only a short drive away. Would stay again!

This house is nicer than any rental we have ever stayed in - clean, quiet, beautifully decorated, excellent beds and linens, gorgeous views. It’s just a few minutes’ drive into town, and we discovered great restaurants all less than 10 minutes away (Bogarts, Sweet Onion, Chef’s Table, Haywood Smokehouse, Beach Mountain Diner). Jayne was excellent to work with and very easy to reach with questions. We highly recommend staying here - we definitely hope to come back ourselves!

The Eagles Nest Lodge was amazing! My family and I take a vacation in the NC mountains every year and we rated this one the best. The views were just breathtaking from almost every window and the large outdoor deck with the fall leaf colors at peak. Jayne thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy every minute of this place, from the soft bedding and linens to a well equipped kitchen, and firewood for the outdoor fire pit. The lodge was beautifully decorated with plenty of room for all of us. Each day we hiked on the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains, visited Cherokee, and also went into Waynesville to BearWaters Brewing (a must). At the lodge, we cooked chili, watched football and baseball games on the large TV, as well as played endless pool games! The fireplace operates with just a push of a button which we used each night. My mom is elder so the elevator was a huge help for us. Jayne was sure to connect with us to make sure all of our needs were met and the check-in/checkout process was quick and easy. Thank you Jayne for sharing this amazing place with me and my family. We will be back!

Everything listed about the property was accurate.
The views and accommodations were outstanding.
We were not prepared ahead of time that we had to purchase some extra supplies that we have found customary at most the of the other VRBO's we have stayed at over the years.
Again, the property was great as was the host.

The Eagles Nest has it all! It was the perfect location to Waynesville’s downtown attractions and area waterfalls. The gourmet kitchen had all the supplies needed to make delicious meals. The downstairs rec room provided hours of fun with pool and games. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. We would come back anytime!

Jayne was the most responsive helpful and informed property manager ever. The home was immaculate with nice linens, pillows, towels and furniture. The view is gorgeous. The kitchen could use a few larger pots and some placemats, but it was super functional, otherwise well appointed and open to the dining room and living room. The beds were very comfortable. Because there are no interior stairs one must either use the elevator or take the outside stairs. I was a little hesitant at first of the small elevator, but quickly overcame my fear. Loved the games and pool table. The internet was always functional. There is a sharp steep turn into the driveway, but we had no problems navigating it. The porch with rocking chairs and swing were relaxing.
Thank you Jayne!

The house was very clean and very well equipped. It met all of our expectations, plus. We enjoyed it very much and extended our stay by one week. The host was very nice and very accessible with each contact made. A wonderful experience.

We had an in credible time. The property is charming and tastefully decorated. The house was spotless and everything was properly labeled. Everything you need to have a relaxing time in the mountains. The view from the porch was incredible. Very private , you do not see the neighbors from where the house is located. It was extremely convenient to have the town and multiple restaurants within a 7 minute drive . We enjoyed the Beach dinner almost every day, Maggie's and Amici for dinner. I can not wait to come back.

This property was exceptionally clean, felt like we were the first ones to stay there because it was so clean. The views from the front porch with the rocking chairs and porch swing are amazing. The back patio with the fire pit is very relaxing and you still have a beautiful view.
Location is perfect, only a couple of miles to town but so remote up the mountain.
Jayne is an exception host and we thank her for sharing such a fabulous home.

One of the cleanest, most comfortable, and well-appointed vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. Location is fantastic.

My family of six (all older adults and one spry 94 year old aunt) just loved this place. The house is beautiful and well stocked. With four bedrooms ( one downstairs) this accommodated our needs very well. Easily accessible paved road all the way to the house with beautiful trees and rhododendron along the drive up. Owner very responsive to any questions and concerns. This would be great place for people with preteen children. The basement area has a bedroom, bathroom, entertainment area with pool table and large TV. Just perfect for kids to have their own space. Elevator made it possible for our older aunt to vacation with us. My only negative on this was, didnt see any bears. Just kidding folks. We really didn’t want to see one around the house. But, we did see wild turkeys along the drive up. Great place.

Great property – beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Waynesville. Good kitchen layout and modern appliances, easy to cook and eat on site. Bedrooms were very comfortable and we had plenty of space for us, our four adult kids and the dog. Jayne was extremely helpful, quick and responsive. We would certainly return to this property.
The 10-minute drive to Waynesville provides easy access to the Publix grocery store and there are a number of good restaurants and brew pubs. Frog Level Brewing is outstanding – right on the river in town and dog friendly. It’s an easy 30 minutes to Asheville – would recommend Rhubarb restaurant and Wicked Weed beer garden.
The property is centrally located – although the drives are a bit longer (an hour), you can reach the Great Smoky Mountains to the west, wineries to the east (Stone Ashe and Burntshirt), Pisgah National Forest, Chimney Rock State Park and the DuPont State Forest. We used the property as a base for day trip hiking, and it worked out great.

This is a lovely home with all the amenities your family would need for a mountain vacation. Everything was clean and comfortable and Jayne made it easy to check in and gain entry to the property. The information provided about the area and which restaurants take dogs came in very handy.
The house is located just 10 minutes from downtown and while situated up the mountain (hence the great views), it isn't too high up, making it easy to take day trips and go out to eat. We enjoyed relaxing outside in the rockers, playing pool and sitting by the fire - it was the perfect setting to get away from it all.
Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this property for our annual girls’ trip. It’s conveniently located, plenty of space, and great views. We had a blast, whether just relaxing on the deck or playing pool. And I’m positive that our giant jenga tour was the highest we’ve ever accomplished. We’re definitely keeping this property on our list for future trips.

We were so impressed with this gorgeous home. The host was very helpful and personable.
The home is very clean, comfy and beautifully decorated. Our family of five snuck away for a long weekend to ski at Cataloochee and to spend quality time together.
This home is located in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. The views are stunning and the front porch is picture perfect for a morning coffee.
The kitchen is well stocked and the fire pit allows for some great fireside s’mores & chats.
Publix and downtown Waynesville, which has restaurants, Starbucks, Walgreens and more, is a short 7-10 mins away. We will definitely be back again!!

We loved this vacation home! It was very clean when we arrived and we had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were well organized. The furnishings were comfortable and you could tell the home had been updated recently. We loved the convenience of the elevator! The view from the house was great...sunrise in the morning coming over the mountains was spectacular. The twinkling lights of the town below were beautiful to look at.
Jayne was very helpful and always available to answer any questions we had. She encouraged us to contact her if we needed anything.
We would definitely come back to this home again if we are in this area!

Beautiful home, beautiful setting, everything we needed on site. In fact, we could have stayed in-house all 3 days and been completly content. But, we did enjoy our two visits to downtown Waynesville. A great time was had by all!

This cabin was top notch! The view was incredible for being so close to town. The cleanliness surpassed my wife’s high standards and the kitchen was a joy to use (not always the case for us). I don’t like giving 5 star reviews but I couldn’t think of anything to downgrade the rating. ;)

We decided to spend Christmas in the mountains this year and this is the cabin I chose when I was searching for a place to stay, and I'm so glad I did. The cabin is so cozy and had everything we needed and more! There was even a small Christmas tree up, and thank goodness there was because Santa knew exactly where to leave the presents for my grandson! The location was great as well! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

The home and furnishings were immaculate. I say home rather than house because it felt like home. Every detail had been thought of to make our stay relaxed and perfect.
Wonderful back porch with nice view. Plenty of rockers and a nice porch swing. We spent many hours here. Nice hangout space downstairs.
We enjoyed the location. The elevation provided nice temps that were a great break from the heat of Atlanta. We made day trips to Asheville and Great Smoky Mountain NP.

What a beautiful Home. The layout of the house was just perfect for our family. The owners have thought of everything from the linens to all the utensils in the kitchen. Had coffee every morning sitting on the beautiful deck. Location was convenient to Ashville, Hendersonville and Cherokee. Would recommend and would come back again.

It is incredibly difficult to find a home that can accommodate a person who uses a wheelchair! We were traveling with our adult son who uses a wheelchair and my elderly mother who requires some mobility assistance. We were thrilled to find Eagle’s Nest with an elevator! The home is not “handicapped accessible” per ADA guidelines; however, we found it to be very “handicapped friendly”. We use these terms when we review properties because we have stayed at “handicapped accessible” properties that are NOT “handicapped friendly”! (Accessible means no steps to get inside, wide enough doors & doorways, and grab bars in the bathroom. But, being “friendly” means there is ample room to navigate the home in a wheelchair, room to have your wheelchair INSIDE the bathroom with door closed, and having ALL floors/rooms & outdoor recreational spaces navigable to those with mobility challenges. It’s great if one can get inside the home with zero entry or ramp, but if the person can’t get to the game room or the laundry room the home isn’t really accessible nor is it friendly. VRBO should definitely set standards for property descriptions. The owners of Eagle’s Nest provided excellent communication regarding the functioning of the elevator and other accessibility features! One thing we didn’t expect was the absence of an INDOOR staircase between floors. It wasn’t a problem at all. Our family members were able to easily enter the home via the ground level porch and also through the very clean & useable garage (that’s a bonus!). Able bodied guests can choose to use the outdoor stairs up to the wraparound covered porch and enter into the kitchen or the front door located on the opposite side of the house. Once inside, we all used the elevator - even the dogs! The lack of an indoor staircase was a benefit as it allowed us to keep our dogs within sight at all times. This home also is ready for your pets: pet towels located near garage entry and a kitchen drawer stocked with pet bowls, poop bags & treats from the local pet bakery. Such a wonderful touch! There are small, pine needle covered areas to take your pet to potty off both the ground level porch and main level porch. There isn’t a place for off leash exercise or walking, although the long driveway provides for a short walk. It’s worth mentioning that the linens are all high quality, the furniture is quite comfortable, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner of this lovely home!
