Tophotel

Modern ingericht hotel met vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ontbijt gevarieerd en vers. Heel lekkere cocktails en mocktails.

De trein die regelmatig passeert maakt veel lawaai.

The perfect getaway

The pool was incredible, just the whole ambiance and scenery was dreamy. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were thoughtfully prepared, with slippers, creams, toiletries and more.

Luxe bungalow, fantastisch ontbijt, goed parkeren, 100 meter van strand, 7 min. vanaf Cefalu.

Veel dingen waren goed, maar het ontbijt was werkelijk uitstekend. Vers voorgesneden fruit, allerlei soorten brood, granen, crusli, musli, noten etc. etc. Zowel zoet, hartig als kaasbeleg. Alles heel vers. Taarten, croissants, koekjes, broodjes zalm etc. etc. Ei- en pannenkoek gerechten worden vers bereid. Verder is het complex mooi en schoon opgezet met allemaal bungalowtjes rondom het zwembad en de bar. Het is een klein complex, circa 15 huisjes. Het ligt circa 100 meter lopen van de zee vandaan. Daar kun je niet echt zwemmen ivm rotsen en stroming, maar is wel heerlijk om uit te waaien en te relaxen. Huisjes zijn luxe uitgevoerd en allemaal voorzien van een prive zitje. Tevens is er een wellness deel waar wij geen gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Met de auto is het ongeveer 7 minuten naar Cefalu, waar je prima bij het station kunt parkeren (betaald). Cefalu zelf is prachtig en heel sfeervol en in deze periode (april 2024) gezellig druk.

We hebben er absoluut geen last van gehad, maar er ligt een spoorlijn vlak achter het complex waar elk paar uur een trein voor bij rijdt. Je hoort het wel, maar het is niet hinderlijk. Achter die spoorlijn ligt een betonfabriek. Heb je geen last van, maar het is niet heel fraai om te zien. Daarnaast vonden we het restaurant erg prijzig, maar ongetwijfeld heel goed.

Exceptional

Our stay at Insulae was great, wish we could’ve stayed longer! It’s the perfect intimate resort to relax! Drinks were great and the service exceptional, Antonia at the front desk was always so helpful as well as the rest of the staff! Would definitely return :)

We enjoyed everything, maybe a gym can be good as my husband would have used it! Having more variety for breakfast and lunch would be great as well!

Really loved the pool area and modern style rooms. The facilities were clean and all the staff were so nice and loved assisting us. We really loved Antionette in particular! Parking was great for those renting cars and was great value for money.

We loved Cefalù and the property.

The facilities and staff are incredible. Bar and pool are idyllic. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Distance from town was a challenge. Distance to a beach was not ideal either.

Overpriced, not worth the money

-Friendly and ready to help staff - Location (if you have a car) - Pool area - Cocktails - Restaurant at dinner time. Delicious pasta.

- Room. Sea view room didn’t have a direct or even partial sea view, you could only sea a small corner of the sea somewhere far away in the horizon, on the other side you could see a pool, and the main view was to the other building. The terrace and the room itself had no privacy at all, if you opened the curtains other passing guests could see you sleeping in bed. Air conditioning not functioning properly, no air in the room at night and not possible to leave the window open for the night as it’s just too public. The bed not comfortable, too soft. Tea bags offered in the room although no kettle or cups were provided (one of many unlogical decisions of this hotel). Hundreds of ants in the terrace. Overall the room was small (you could not open one of the wardrobe doors because of the bed table) and not super clean (dusts and dirt in the corners of the room). - Breakfast. Very unlogical buffet, some of the meals were put on the lower shelves, you have to literally squat down to reach eat, super small breakfast buffet area so not comfortable. They had boiled eggs but it was a lotery to find a solid and not raw one. The pastries were OK and we enjoyd the fruit the first two morning, unfortunately the last morning they moved the buffet to another place (also too small and not comfortable) and you could only get fruit by asking the bartender which was never there. Oh and coffee!!!! Not that many guests but the girls somehow found it too hard to remember coffee orders, had to insist for our coffee several times. One time we received our capuccinos cold, another time one of them was only milk with almost no coffee. The last morning capuccinos were OK but it was annoying to ask for it several times. No fresh juices, only packed ones. - Restaurant at lunch time. Looks like there is no chef during the day and they only serve premade sandwiches etc.

We highly recommend this resort for families, we will love to come back.

The resort looks even better than in the pictures, the staff was incredibly attentive to all our needs at any hour of the day, always with a smile on their face. They helped us with information on what to visit in Palermo and Cefalu. Breakfast was very good and the fact that you could have there dinner also made it very comfortable to stay there with a toddler. They even provided a side by side cot and bath tub for our baby. We really felt pampered for the entire stay.

Superb

Beautiful accommodation, just a few months open. Relaxing atmosphere, great breakfast buffet with also sweets like cannoli & bundt cakes, delicious omelets, great cocktails and cappuccinos, and very friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely like to stay again!

No standard kettle or coffee maker in the room, but I also did not ask for it at the reception, so maybe they do have them. (because there were tea bags in the room) A car is highly recommended, because if you want to walk to for example the grocery store, you have to walk past driving cars. A few times a day, there passes a train next to the hotel, but that didn't bother me at all.

Beautiful Oasis

We had a wonderful stay! The grounds, swimming pool and rooms were beautifully maintained and decorated. The staff were amazing and attentive to our needs, they also gave some great recommendations for activities nearby. Special mention for the amazing cocktails at the pool bar! Parking available on site, great location 5-10 minute drive to Cefalu center. If I’m find myself back in the area I’ll be sure to come back!

Stunning place with welcoming staff

The place itself is new, modern and clean. Each apartment has the terrace where you can spend your time even when it’s raining. The swimming pool area is very relaxing as well as the whole property, with many tropical plants and the birds singing all the time ♥️ The cuisine in the restaurant and drinks at the bar are just amazing and not over-priced. But what’s the best about this resort is very friendly and welcoming staff, always happy to help and make your stay better.

There were some faults in the room but it just happens. It would be nice if the swimming pool was heated so it’s possible to use it during cold days.

Amazing Hotel in a beautiful location with wonderful staff

Absolutely everything. This was one of if not THE most amazing hotels I've ever stayed in. The team offered such a personal and unique experience. They are all so passionate about their jobs and all so friendly and welcoming. I visited for my 30th birthday trip with my sister and our partners. We enjoyed the hotel and Cefalù for 5 nights and loved every moment. The hotel is brand new and it is beautifully designed with amazing attention to detail. We stayed in the King Rooms with Spa Bath - absolutely beautiful. What a luxurious experience. The food and drinks were incredible, served by very talented chefs and bartenders. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. The restaurant offers the best food you will find in Cefalù. They change their menu very frequently so you can try lots of different delicious food. The cocktails were made perfectly and offered a huge menu to choose from. Or they will even create you your own based on your favourite flavours! You MUST stay here if you get the chance! You will not regret it 😍

New gem in Sicily

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location and comfortable rooms. There were some small improvements that were needed because it's a brand new resort but they fixed everything. Amazing place
