About this house rental
“Beachcomber Sunset" is a relaxing, comfortable home in Smiths Beach, a short walk to both YCW or Smiths Beach itself. Enjoy a walk to the beach or head off to the nearby winery, penguins, Cowes or restaurants.
Set up for 2-3 families with one king master bedroom with ensuite, a queen bedroom as well as two bunk rooms for the kids with 2 bunk sets in each. (Please note the bunk weight capacity.) All rooms have built-in robes. Separate is a studio with a queen bed, kitchenette and bathroom.
Upstairs comprises the modern open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with large sliding doors opening onto the covered balcony. Enjoy the sunny open space with soft comfortable couches and large tv with sound bar, including bluetooth, and a Chromecast with Google tv. The balcony faces west for the afternoon sun, overlooking reserve parkland and the hills of farm paddocks frequented by kangaroos. On the balcony there is also a bbq and outdoor table. The dining table seats 8 and the balcony table seats 8.
The fully appointed kitchen with breakfast bar is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a Nespresso compatible pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 750mm electric oven with gas cooktop.
The master king bedroom has a large walk-in-wardrobe and an en-suite with a freestanding bath, shower & toilet.
Downstairs contains another living area including large tv, a queen bedroom, two bunkrooms, a bathroom with shower, a separate toilet and a fully appointed laundry.
An added bonus is the freestanding queen bed studio offering a bathroom with shower & toilet, and its own sheltered deck. The studio kitchenette contains an electric oven with a gas cooktop, plus a sink and fridge.
Various jigsaws, games and books are in the bunk room wardrobes for use during your stay. Across the road is a playground and park for children. With families in mind the top of the stairs has a latched gate, there is a high chair and portacot - please check these for safety as they are not inspected between guests and bring your own portacot linen.
The garage is set up for fun, with a table tennis table, a TV with Chromecast with Google TV, a big bluetooth speaker and more couches! On hot days the front and rear garage doors can be opened to let the breeze through. Parking is available in the driveway and outside the property.
The yard is fully fenced, outdoor shower with hot & cold water to wash off after the beach and off-street parking. *Dogs are welcome by application only, conditions apply!
The home is equipped with split-system reverse cycle units; one in each living area, and in the master bedroom. They need to be on the same setting, either heating or cooling, to operate. There is heating in the three downstairs bedrooms.
Another split system keeps the studio comfortable.

Guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea towels.
Alternatively, you can hire linen directly through LinenOnLoan for this property.
A refundable Bond is required in addition to your nightly tariff for all bookings, in case of accidental damage. The refundable Bond will be returned back to you, subject to an inspection of the property on your departure.

This property is fantastic for families. There was plenty of space for our teenagers and their friends to stay for a few nights and a big kitchen for family dinners.
The listing should be updated to reflect king single beds (not singles). Fortunately we brought spare sheets and were able to make it work, but it was a bit of a pain.

Great spot walking distance to the beach and surf. But plenty of off street parking there is not. If only 2 cars, no issue. House was great and gave us everything we needed except linen, which was a bit of a pain.
