Town - 3 miles south of Plaza in prestigeous "Weimer" the incredible view hill - 20 miles to Taos Ski Valley, 20 miles to Angel Fire
360 Degree Views from the charming Taos vacation rental house in prestigious Weimer foothills area. A light and airy home with sunken living room and walk out patio and hot tub. Viga ceilings throughout plus 2 traditional kiva 'Candle Only' fireplaces, one in the master bedroom and the other in the living room, create that southwest ambiance offered by adobe architecture. Both bedrooms are equally large and spacious and there are luscious mountain views North, South, East and West and are seen from every room. Just 1 mile to the Taos Youth & Family Center with pool, ice skating and other recreational facilities and a 15 minute walk to Carson National Forest and hiking trails.
For added pleasure and recreation slip into the luscious hot tub for star gazing on starry nights and relaxing after a day of skiing, white water rafting and southwest shopping.

We loved the area and the house was fine. Could use a few repairs here and there. But we had a fantastic, quiet time, which was exactly what we needed!! Loved it.

The house is beautiful and the location and view amazing. Plenty of room for our family of 5.
The house could use a bit of maintenance to address some broken tiling in the bathroom and perhaps a updating of the plumbing fixtures. Also note there is no air conditioning. This usually won't be an issue as it gets into the 50s at night even in the summer, but in July it can get warm in the late afternoon

Total misrepresentation of three fireplace one in the master bedroom, one in the living room, and one outside… The two in the house were decorative only and not for use even though the checkout notes express how they would like you leave the ashes untouched and not pour water on the flames. There were not candelabras in the fireplaces either, and I didn’t come up here to read books and chill out to a thermostat…. The grill needs replacing. It’s in bad shape… The oven doesn’t heat up very well. It took me an hour to heat up a frozen pizza and the cheese still hadn’t melted so it was a soggy pizza… Information on how to operate DIRECTV, No directions on how to warm up the house when it was in the 30s every night. The living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable, the green patio chairs, Pat, either bird poop or white paint all over them. I did not want to sit in them.
Other than that, the garden tub Jacuzzi in the master was wonderful with the exception they gave you water down hand soap to bathe with.
The hot tub was wonderful and private.
The stereo and CD choices were wonderful.
The location into Taos Plaza was under 10 minutes.
Check the property keeper was very kind and helpful and so was Gary at Premier properties.

Great home! Nice location that was very quiet but pretty close to the action - we drove to Angel Fire one day and to Taos ski hill another day - restaurants in Taos are close by.
Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed.
Note that the master bathroom does not have a shower - only a soaking tub.
Hot tub was awesome for checking out stars and looking for UFOs. ;)
I'd advise the cleaning company to reduce the fragrances used in cleaning/air fresheners - it was really strong smelling when we arrived. We aired it out and it was fine from there forward.
Would stay here again!

House stays cool on warm days and comfortable at night. The heated tile floors are fantastic. Everything we needed was available. We loved it!

We had a good overall stay,however I would recommend some needed updates and attention to details. Such as decent outdoor furniture,when that is where most of your time is spent, a new coffee pot and dish towels and laundry and bath soap. A clean grill and porch. my husband had to clean out the bottom of the hot tub and I swept the front porch.

Very cool place…we encountered an ant problem in the kitchen each day, but it was manageable. Location was spectacular for view and accessing groceries and attractions. Amenities were very good, however cleanliness of property was marginal in some areas. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we would book it again

This home worked perfectly for our visit to Taos and surrounding areas. Close enough to the square and far enough away to be totally quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed morning coffee on the front patio and the hot tub in the beautiful evenings. Reserving and accessing the property was easy and seamless. No problem for our group of 4 but a possible downside for some might be that there is no shower in the master bathroom.

A nice house that fit New Mexico landscape......quiet and out of town but close enough to shops, etc. The dirt road wasn't the greatest, but okay if you just go slow. It did get you to a great view of mountains and Taos.

The location is a bit from downtown. But has beautiful unobstructed views. It only takes a few minutes to get to a grocery store. Layout is good for 2 couples. Be sure to take bath soap. None furnished. Everything else is good. Our 2nd stay here.

Having stayed in various locations in the Taos area in the past, I can say that this location is ideal. The views are spectacular, the proximity to hiking trails is unparalleled, the setting is serene and peaceful, and it's just a short, enjoyable drive to town (through the forest as opposed to the main drag). The house has a lovely layout and plenty of natural light. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is bright and cheery, the main room is comfortable with spectacular views, and both bedrooms are serene. The hot tub is divine. A few serious issues: 1) the oven doesn't work--it gets up to temp and then stalls and plummets in temperature. Several of the meals I had planned and for which I had already purchased food were ruined as a result; 2) we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper for our 4 night stay--an oversight that became apparent on our last day there. If the oven were repaired/replaced, I would stay here again in a heartbeat (and bring backup toilet paper, I guess).

This was such a beautiful house and location. It gave us that Taos feel and the view from the house was breathtaking. It would have been the perfect getaway if not for the fact it was a smokers house, or had been heavily smoked in. The sheets were clean but the bedspreads and blankets were disgusting. They smelled so bad there was no way you could have the covers up around your face. The general smell of the house pretty much ruined the stay. We spent as little time as possible at the house because of this. I don't believe this was advertised as a smoking house and it should have been! My daughter has asthma and I have allergies so it's very important for us not to be in a smoke filled home. What a special place this would have been had it not been for the smell!!

Our family absolutely loved this home. Premier Properties were professional in booking this property and it was everything plus more in their description. The home was very comfortable, had everything you needed to cook with and a great hot tub after a long day of skiing. I would highly recommend this property.

When you drive up to Taos House, the magnificent 360 degrees of the mountains is your first impression. Then, when you enter the house, you are impressed with its Taos charm, the decor, the cleanliness, and the roominess. Spending a week here was delightful. The house is also conveniently located ten minutes away from grocery and drug stores, and not much farther to the Plaza. A couple of things posed minor problems such as the icemaker not working and the ice trays provided cracked and hard to use, and the oven not working. I reported this to the caretaker and he assured me he would notify the owner. He was so attentive and responsive to our calls, that I am certain he will do as he said. On the morning that we were to depart, there was a lot of snow on the driveway, making it difficult for us to leave. Chuck came over and made a pathway in the snow so that we could drive out. I would recommend the Taos House to anyone wanting a relaxing time in Taos with unbelievable views from every window.

Enjoyed 4 nights in the secluded setting. Pros;Convenient to all areas we wanted to visit. Good value for price. Management company professionalism. Cons: Interior needs updates and maintenance. Only 1 shower for 2 bedrooms, ceramic floor tile cracked + loose, kitchen sprayer inoperable, whirlpool tub smelled like sewer when activated ( had to shower to get smell off) refrigerator extremely noisy, fire alarm went off every time we cooked.

We didn't spend much time in the cabin as we skied every day. We basically just slept there. The house was clean and comfortable. The only drawbacks to the house are that we were told it would take 20 mins to get to the mountain. And in fact It probably does but with snow and ice on the road that time almost doubles. The other thing that was different was the fact that we had to pull the linens and start the wash before we left. We've never been asked to do that before. Overall I would stay there again. One more thing, when using google maps or any other electronic way to find this house. Make sure you look at the address outside the house before you try to get in. Google maps has the house located at the opposite end of the street.

Beautiful house, gorgeous views, very comfortable. Beautiful art, etc. Had all the comforts of home. Bumpy, dusty roads to get there. TV did not work. Chuck was to come to fix, but he never did. Loved the stay. It was close to our Taos relatives. Would definitely stay there again, but would make sure the TV worked. Thanks. Mother and Aunt.
