Arrived at the beautiful building that is Baylis House only to be told is a restaurant now and the hotel is at the side. After trapsing round the building we found the entrance to the hotel. Our rooms were in yet another building across a courtyard. Once we got to the building with the rooms, which was shared with wedding venues, we were disappointed. The building had dirty floors, stairs had stains, generally had the feel of an unkempt hostel. Our key card didnt work so 2 trips back to the reception building.
Were offered another room but that had damp so back to original room once keycard lock was fixed.
Rooms are tired too. Our room had a missing door on the wardrobe. The shower was just above a trickle. Carpet was not clean. Wore slipper throughout our stay.
There was thumping music till late from the wedding venues. Didnt sleep till after midnight.
Overall, the pictures are misleading. The rooms are in a very very tired, unloved and uncared for block. Needs a decent makeover and regular cleaning as it hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner, mop of polish in ages. Furniture in communal areas is dire.
We were only booked for one night thank goodness.

Basic hotel, needs work doing on the rooms shower had no adjustable holder, radiator didn’t work in the room and couldn’t use heat mode on the wall mounted heater above the door. Rooms weren’t cleaned throughout the week, just bed made and towels replaced. Extremely noisey when function room was being used

It was only one night as attended a wedding.
Nothing to comment on, a basic room that met it's requirements.
Yes it needs a little tlc but serviceable all the same.

Adequate but not great

I spent most of my day working outside the hotel. I only came in to have dinner and sleep. It was very serene environment. I did enjoy the my stay
2.7
Staff were great room was comfortable but tv didn’t work

Room had no curtains window didn’t lock. Was offered to kove at later date but i work nights so got used to hanging my towls over the window.
Shower leaked from head but did work sufficiently. When i was leaving i did a scan of room and looked under the bed i wish I didn’t dound multiple foods and massive anount of dirt. If it was on 4 in a ned id like tonsee the scores. Not worth the money at all.

We stayed here as we were attending an event at the same location, but really regret doing so. Whilst check in was welcoming, the room was abysmal. There was a stench of cigarette smoke throughout and the room was in poor condition and unclean. By far the worst was the bathroom which had black mold all over the ceiling. The sink tap was very wobbly and felt as though it would come off in our hand. The screen to operate the air con was smashed and flashing, we had to cover it with some clothing overnight as it was so bright. The room had a blind but it let a lot of light in. Our "view" was a car park complete with shopping trolley, an old bed and an old child's cot.
It was quite loud in the morning with other guests on the move. We don't recommend staying at this hotel at all.

The evening staff, on the reception appeared bored and uninterested in us.
The bathroom cupboards where all chipped and rotting.
The door because it has got wet was rotting.
There were NO spare pillows (you got one) when we asked.
There was NO plug for the tea and coffee, except down the side of the bed which is dangerous.
Out of THREE bulbs in the ceiling light, 2 had gone; so lighting was limited to one bulb.
The television was old, and reception flakey
The beds where poor quality, not hard or soft but you could feel the bed frame bars, and they were cheap ones. The Mattress didn't help at all.
Curtains where mouldy.
It wasn't a patch on the photos shown, this place has had it's day.
I won't be staying again.

Place and staff are fine but it's difficult to get hold of someonr after 7pm.

We booked in very late after a cancelled flight and were, understandably a little stressed. The two gentlemen on reception were very considerate and helpful. They were smiling and polite. There was a big wedding in progress but it finished at midnight and was no problem - in fact lovely to see. The manager on reception showed us to our rooms and waited to see us settled in, immediately replacing a key which did not work. They provided us with phone numbers for taxi companies for the next morning to the airport and, when the initial taxi firm failed to arrive at 6am, they were still on duty and gave another number and the taxi arrived in minutes.

Perfect for us. Beds were clean and comfortable. The room was clean also with all the amenities you’d need (shampoo, soap, teas coffees etc). Staff at check in were really friendly also. There was a function on the same night we stayed however we couldn’t hear anything from our room. We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. It was certainly good value for money. The grounds the hotel are set in are absolutely beautiful with secure parking too.

Very poor. There was extensive mould on the ceiling. The shower was cold. The bathroom lights were flickering. Overall the building looked pretty run down.
2.7
We were refused access to the hotel due to being afro caribbean
2.7
There toilet was broken not clean even ac not work properly they said the will change the room but the didn’t it was bad experience I live in Slough last 20 years but some one came from India my relatives they said it’s everything bad over there they came first time from India
2.7
Very run down , mould in the bathroom ceiling desperately in need of renovation
2.7
Wallpaper peeling off the wall.
Only mirror was in the bathroom and was steamed up due to us using the shower. Pull out bed was uncomfortable. No toilet roll in one of our rooms. No curtains only a blind so the light was coming through the sides. Room was freezing and the heater/radiator did not work.

Set in impressive grounds this hotel is just accessible for a one night stay.
It’s obvious the hotel itself is run on a shoe string budget with some unacceptable issues.
One is a lot of ants in the bathroom, and when showed to a member of staff they weren’t interested.
The other was the TV had no remote or antenna cable, these were supplied on request! But WHY?
Annoyingly with better management I think this could be a great hotel, security to the car parks were excellent and access to the local town centre is achievable on foot.
Everything said it was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area on my particular date, so I guess that has to be taken into account.

After travelling over 30 hours at least on arrival I was able to leave my case in the reception, that sadly is when the good ends
1. The room was hot the air conditioner didn’t cool room
2. Backside drawer broken, cabinet under sink falling off $water damage. Window “blind” only was thin & covered in stains
3. On the first night a large noisy party happened in the reception centre although not owned by the hotel, I was advised it should of finished at midnight, on 3 occasions I called out the window to get quiet, at 3.20sm the noise stopped. Jet lagged and obviously extremely upset I finally slept
4. No ability to contact reception
5. Before booking I checked the website, it said breakfast and dining was available, when I arrived this was untrue. The hotel was too far from any food outlets so I went without dinner every night and went to city for breakfast. There was also no small fridge in the rooms so no where to keep purchased food
6. Toilet seat broken
7. Stained & damaged walls and fittings
8. Stained bed
9. Basically one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
10. I note the housekeeping ladies were lovely, but all they could answer was they’d report to management
11. On the 6th June I took a shower at 7am. No hot water. When I told the bail at reception who had told me before he was part of management he said sorry they were full and everyone else has had a shower and I had not had hot water because of this hotels need to have the facility to give hot water

When arriving at the hotel looked lovely from outside went entered the reception look like work was being done lady on reception very nice and helpful had few issues entering the room with plastic key card in the room it was very basic bed tele kettle etc walls dirty and headboard on bed very noisy when moving around .in the bathroom there was mould on the ceiling and side of bath the room was very light had a blind but light still came so up early no curtains
2.7
Staff were friendly and willing to help with issues within the room. The first room i was giving the air conditioning did nkt work and the walls were dirty i was then placed in a different room which was still dirty there was a dead fly on the wall and coffee spillage on the walls and floor.
2.7
Did not like the ants nest in room
2.7
There was no cold water in the morning for the shower, the air conditioning was turned on but did not work, the bathroom didn't seem to be in good quality, lights are broken
2.7
Unfortunately this stay was unacceptable. Staff at reception were not very helpful. Hot water to the room took a good 12 hours to resolve. People in the rooms next door were banging and loud talking all night. Until 4am.
2.7
The man who checked me in was really nice, warm and welcoming. The photos of this hotel must be from a fair few years ago. The cleanliness of the building externally and internally is not great. As a pregnant women it was not nice being surrounded by dirty walls and constantly wanting to wash. There is no restaurant or bar yet online it states differently. Uber Eats was a constant delivery service to the hotel. The building has so much potential, but it is just shocking.
2.7
Room very tired. Main issue was a late check-in and no instructions regarding a call point next to the barrier and poor signage.
2.7
As soon as we got in the room, the toilet was constantly leaking into the bowl. Spoke to the receptionist about It before we even settled down and he came to the room and banged on the toilet back panel until it stopped. His advice was to bang the back panel after flashing the toilet every time. Not the most convenient scenario, terrible issue and wasn't dealt with properly either. Location is the only good thing about the hotel if you have an event on site, otherwise wouldn't return to stay.
2.7
Fairly comfortable for sleeping and washing - no table or desk to work from so that wasn't ideal but it may be you can select a room with these features.
2.7
Room was badly maintained, damaged bathroom doors curtains tv wasnt working due to no signal room i requested was a double bed. But was given two single beds put together spoke to reception about the issues i raised and i was told housekeeping was going to check the room but all was done was the changed bin and cleaned towel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
2.7
Run down. Locked out of gate in the rain. Zero facilities. Poor room layout. TV nearly impossible to use. Bathroom poor design. No local place to eat. No bedside units. dreadful mattress. Useless desk in room.
2.7
The worst ever stay , 0 quality of room ,very uncomfortable room, bed and linen of lowest cleaning, toilet with only one towel, no remote for TV. Night receptionist colleague fully drunk who responded me saying the remote is stolen. I had to atemd a conference and need ironing my shirt, they gave me a burnt iron and a broken iron table , the iron spoiled my white shirt ,had to wear another shirt for the conference. Overall waste of money and worst stay. Not recomended at all.

Good service

I turned off the air con as it was noises, but there was still motor noise all through the night.
2.7
Rooms were nice but bathroom needs some cosmetics, other than that decent place to stay .. function room looks amazing though
2.7
I have used this hotel many times as the parking is so good. However my last 2 stays have been awful. Booked a double and got a twin, no kettle, no TV remote, another time broken TV and dodgy window.
When you mention anything they always say the manager deals with that ( who is never there) or tells you to complain through bookings as a third party booking. Now looking for somewhere new
2.7
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in - the area around felt unsafe. On arrival, there were three security cars in the car park with two security guards, which was concerning but also reassuring. No one on the main reception, very unwelcoming and all communal areas filthy and run down. Found the other reception, checked into room in ‘the Annex’ to find people screaming next door, with the room dirty and badly maintained. Sticky marks on bedside cabinet, dust, loose toilet seat, mould around shower, grungy tv remote control with missing batteries. Lady on reception was nice and changed my room to a more modern one in the main building which was much better and felt cleaner, although it was again very basic and lacked maintenance.
2.7
Mainly ok , clean
Basic but ok , one room out of 4 had no tv remote
2.7
Rooms very clean . Bedroom nice and warm . Good shower .
2.7
Great little hotel nice staff ,but be aware its a wedding venue ,i have stayed a few time but an event was on full swing one night and sadly i had a room near it, but that was only on one occasion in fairness ,its my choice of hotel in slough area near were i work
2.7
A grade 1british listed building being exploited and turned into an asian empire. Entrance to the hotel looks like heathrow runway.if you need a good nights sleep in a room with carpets, curtains,a kettle, heating & not screaming kids due to lack of council housing this might not be for you.
