About this cottage rental
We are nestled in the heart of Northern Arizona’s wine country and only a 15 minute drive to Sedona. Four of the Verde Valley’s premier vineyards and accompanying wine tasting rooms are within 1 1/2 miles away, as well as public access to Oak Creek for walking, kayaking or swimming. Our home is located in a creek valley, surrounded by only two other homes. Privacy and solitude abound while you relax and enjoy birdsong from our many feeders.
The Space
Sitting on three acres and surrounded by vineyards, our custom-built adobe guest house overlooks Oak Creek and it’s majestic sycamore and cottonwood trees-home to many different species of birds and wildlife. You will have the 700 square foot guesthouse to yourself, complete with two bedrooms, a full bathroom and your own patio. Enjoy the private patio while sipping on your favorite glass of vino and listening to the racket our onsite wild bird population produces:)
There is a small refrigerator, a toaster oven/air fryer combo, microwave, coffee maker, water heater, and a water cooler filled with our own delicious well water. Fresh ground coffee is provided. Our property is located in a little creek valley and is exceptionally private with only two other homes nearby.
Guest Access
Dancing Apache Road is a one mile dirt road. Specific directions will be mailed to you prior to your arrival. Independent check-in is available, however we live on site in the main house and can be available to welcome you here should you prefer that. You will have up to two parking spaces if needed.
Other Important Facts to Know
Both bedrooms have king size beds, with one full bathroom to be shared.
Laundry facilities are available for a small fee for guests booking three or more nights.
sniff. We ask that you supervise your pet and clean up after it. Dogs are not
The guesthouse has in-floor heating and cooling and together with the mass of the adobe and river rock architectural materials, the units stay at a very even and comfortable temperature. There are times in the summer where additional cooling may be needed, especially for one who is not used to our summer temperatures. A mini split cooling system has been installed for additional cooling (or heating in the winter) should you desire it.
Please note that due to the high tourist visitation numbers in the Verde Valley, getting a table for dinner at many restaurants requires a reservation made at least one or two weeks ahead (depending on the restaurant). Most of the wineries in our area serve small plates of food. Up the Creek Bistro Wine Bar (full service restaurant) is 1 mile from our place. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
There are many wonderful things to do in the Verde Valley. We highly recommend that you visit The Sedona Chamber of Commerce to peruse their many brochures on all the activities in our beautiful area. Hiking, birding, mountain biking, star gazing, horseback riding, kayaking, archeological excursions, and/or antique shopping are just some of the many activities to be enjoyed before those relaxing wine tastings at the end of your day.
We adhere to Airbnb’s 5 step enhanced cleaning process at all times; all linens are washed in hot water; high-touch surfaces are sanitized before your arrival with cleaners having 70%or higher alcohol content or higher;

We came for the cornville experience Mike and Pat are great. Beautiful place. So blessed to stay there.

Adobe by the Creek is a beautiful property in a peaceful setting. It is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Pat and Mike are thoughtful and friendly hosts who are very knowledgeable about everything to do in the Sedona area. They provided helpful information about where to hike, eat and shop. We enjoyed playing with their sweet dog Rusty. We stayed for a week and spent our evenings on the patio among the flowers and watching the birds. If we are in the Sedona area again, we will definitely want to stay here.

You could tell the love and detail that went into this guest house - we felt special for being able to stay in it (and for accommodating our small dachshund).
Appreciated the beautiful art throughout, ceramic tiled and wood / warm furnishings, coffee :) and extra big towels. It felt wonderfully remote although we were about 15 minutes from main areas; the house is right next to three wineries and we had a most perfect afternoon horseback riding at the Horsing Around Adventures further down the road / path. The views of the saguaros and sunrise (or sunset) from bed is one of my favorite things of our trip. Thanks for the beautiful stay!

My wife I visited for a few days. The location is quiet. The fresh fruit the hosts provided was amazing. Take the time to take some pictures at night of the stars. We got some phenomenal pictures. The place is secluded, but also close to Cottonwood, Jerome, and Sedona. We will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Nice property, long steep dirt road to get there. Small kitchen with no sink felt awkward using only a bathroom sink. Dorm size fridge with minimal freezer space. Bigger garbage can would be helpful, as we filled the tiny one many times. More furniture, even a love seat would be nice, only 2 chairs didn’t give much to relax on. Keeping the dog away from visitors until better behaved, he used my friends arm as a chew toy and broke the skin. Owners very nice and house is very well kept and clean. Two big king beds, very nice. Well light in the evening for the walk way.

Gracious hosts with a friendly pup, an amazing hideaway. We would come back anytime.
Easy access to interesting destinations, horse rides, wine and hiking.
So cool!
