The living areas in this holiday home consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with two electric ovens, 5-ring electric hob, microwave, American fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a dining table for eight and a sitting area with Smart TV and woodburning stove and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a billiards room with billiards table, bar and Smart TV. The bedrooms all contain Smart TVs and consist of king-size with en-suite bathroom, a king-size with en-suite shower room, a king-size with Juliet balcony and en-suite shower room and a twin with en-suite shower room. Outside there is off-road parking for four cars, a patio with furniture and barbecue and wrap-around balcony. Within 0.5 miles there is shop and 0.4 miles a pub and Lake Windermere. One well-behaved dog welcome, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, starter for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Explore the Lake District at Hare's Breath. Note: There may be limited head height in the twin bedroom when set out as a super-king-size. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Note: Sorry, this property cannot currently accomodate arrivals on Fridays. Saturday arrival by prior arrangement only, please enquire.

Town: Bowness and Windermere, two neighbouring towns in the Lake District National Park, offer a wide variety of activities, services, and entertainment options, as well as shopping and dining options, to make them perennially popular with tourists. Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness offers a variety of boat tours and boat rentals, and other locations in the area include Brockhole, Ambleside, and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). It is only a mile and a half to the Old Laundry Theatre and the World of Beatrix Potter. The breath-taking vistas over the lake and adjacent fells from Orrest Head are what prompted Alfred Wainwright to write his series of classic guidebooks. In addition to the nearby historic towns of Grasmere, Ambleside, and Troutbeck, the nearby attraction of Brockhole, which features high wire tree top experiences, is only three miles away. If you're feeling active, you can find several different watersports in marine centres all around the lake. The Langdale Mountains, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House in Far Sawrey, Coniston, Grizedale Forest Park with its delightful walks and famous outdoor sculptures, mountain biking, and 'Go-Ape' adventure park, Ullswater, Kendal, Keswick, stone circles, Roman forts, and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, are all within easy reach from the area.
