Our stay was perfect! Room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the best part was a direct access to the beach which was very nice. Also, we loved the location. It was close to El Tunco and Sunset park. My family had a great time and we will be back for sure!

Casa Maya was an interesting experience and I will not say in a pleasant way. We were looking for a beach front stay which was not what we received as we were given the very back room. We did not argue about it simply because our purpose was to not stay indoors all day. When we arrived we were greeted and felt a little pressured on the help of taking our bags. We decided on checking in early to get some rest before heading to the beach. We were told to pay $35, once we paid we went into our room and it was hot, no AC due to no power. If they wouldve mentioned no power we wouldnt have got the room. They eventually made up for it by discounting the $35 from our meal which was a pretty good meal I will say. The back and forth with what they would tell us really frustrated us, it was very unprofessional in our opinion. On another note the room was very clean but did not have a fridge. There was very limited transportation and as a foreigner we overall felt like we were being scammed. Every card transaction included a $3 card fee at the resort. Overall there were both pros and cons but at the minimum if the customer service wouldve been exceptional we would so recommend this hotel. The private beach was nice but the staff was terrible. Plus we got protection on our stay and ended up going a day later and got charged $30 for it. But yeah next time el Tunco is the spot to go to! Nightlife was spectacular and felt more safe! Hope Casa Maya improves in the future.

Very nice place with a direct access to the beach. Rooms were clean, breakfast was very tasty and drinks were great. There are lot of lounge chairs for guests facing the ocean and the beach is perfect for swimming or for kids to play. Highly recommend.

Construction going on at 6am and guests couldn’t sleep in. The bathroom door did not close properly and had to place a towel so family couldn’t see in. Staff was friendly but had to ask for the room to be cleaned and trash to be taken out on the 3rd day

The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean, The front of the beach could be in better shape. And the prices are high comparing to other famous beaches.

This property is very outdated for the price. I few suggestions to get to the next level: include hot water on the rooms, offer pool towels or additional towels as requested, restaurant can improve portions, clean/paint your rooms and remodel the building. The staff is amazing though.

too far for rooms from food shopping areas and pools and to many steps.

I tried so hard to enjoy my stay but I couldn’t. My room wasn’t clean and the air conditioner broke. I paid for airport transportation (pickup and drop off), I set an agreed upon drop off time (11:30 am) yet was asked to wait. I waited about 25 mins before I ordered an Uber to avoid missing my flight back to the States. I didn’t receive a refund for the inconvenience either. The food & drinks were great but took awhile to receive them. I wouldn’t stay here again, there’s plenty of other hotels in the area.

The place itself is very nice. BUT the first night of my stay - the bed sheets in the room were not washed. It smelled like sweat and I had to ask them to change them. Besides that everything else was clean. There is no microwave or refrigerator. They do offer airport transportation which is great. Food was good. View was beautiful.

My 78 year old mother and myself stayed there for 4 days for Mother's days. I had a late arrival to El Salvador i informed hotel, so they had made arrangements for someone to pick us up at airport for a small fee, which we were so grateful because it was really dark out and we were tired from flight. Also asked if we wanted to place an order to eat anything and we could place it on our way from airport to hotel so that our meals would be ready when we arrived at hotel. Nice touch.
I had originally gotten an amazing suite overlooking the ocean with a balcony, however there was a bit of stairs to the room and was a little bit difficult for my mom to climb up and down . So they quickly changed us to a ground floor room. Which we were so grateful.
Food service and music was fantastic and also only 5 stairs access directly on the beach with a beautifull cave and amazing views.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was well and keeped clean. There was some construction being done on the property but it did not interfere with my stay. The black sand beach was great, the employees were soo great, i had an incident a the worker were kind enough to help me get some items needed. The owner was always available which is nice to see.

The room was a huge disappointment. The online description of the room was insufficient. The room had this tiny window at the top of the wall. The decor was awful. We tried to get a refund but the staff refused or help accommodate in any way. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

We spent two nights at this boutique resort. The room was nicely decorated and had a refrigerator. The room had a balcony overlooking the ocean, but blocked by the palm trees. The pool was small but needed more maintenance. There were too many steps from the room to the beach. Not accessible friendly. The restaurant was a little overpriced for the area and closed early. The music was too American for our taste. We wanted more Latino music, after all, we were in El Salvador. The beach was nice, and there were some “ranchos” for more affordable eating options. In general it was ok hotel.

Great beachfront hotel. The location is perfect because you are close to many tourist attractions. Food was good and their menu had plenty of options. Room was clean and had everything that we needed. Our favorite part was to lay down on lounge chairs and enjoy the view and the beach. Overall, we had a great time!

My family and I loved our stay at Casa Maya! It was beautiful and private, the food was freshly made and perfect for us and our kids. It’s currently under construction so there was some dust problems but other than that, everything was great!

Over priced, the advertisement is misleading, kitchen close at 4, don’t carry what menu indicate. I won’t recommend this place.

The beach front is gorgeous. Many rock formations and a cave to walk through. Big black rocks but the beach is still walkable.
The breakfast was good as well. We didn’t eat dinner there so I can’t comment on that.
The room was very clean and had a nice deck. I would stay her again.

Great hotel in the area! We were super happy with the service. Breakfast was good and you can choose what you want from their menu. Very safe. While many other places are on the cliffs, this hotel is right on the beach which was very convenient.

We had a great time. Rooms were nice, clean and we loved the the balcony. Breakfast was delicious. You can order anything from their menu for breakfast and it's served warm which was nice. Pool was clean and we liked their set up. You can be enjoying a drink on a lounge chair in a shade inside the property and watching your kids to play on the beach at the same time. We will be back!

Clean rooms and great service by a very young but professional staff! I will come back! Nice location on the beach and not crowded at all during the week

The property itself was nice. I arrived late due to my flight arriving around 11:00pm. It was about 50 minutes from the airport. I had sent a message letting the place know that I was going to be late due to my flight, which they stated they did not receive. I then started texting Carlos which was the on-site person that was supposed to receive me. He completely ignored my calls and texts. I arrived and the place was completely dark. Not a soul around. I was not getting a response at all. It was creepy and dark out. I started to knock on the doors and came across an empty room. I went in and called Expedia and explained the situation. I later got a call from someone else at the property and they stated that they had left that room open for me, which was a lie because the napkin hanging from the night lamp said Welcome Josue. My name is Carol. He then proceeds to tell me that the on-site lost his phone last night and had a new number. In which I was never notified. I stayed in the room uncomfortable all night. Was never given a set of keys so I was stuck in my room. He also told me that I was the only guest on-site and therefore everything was dark. Overall horrible experience. Nice place. They need to manage it better. After my experience I would never stay there again.
