Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were impressed with how well stocked the house was, the amenities it had to offer, and location.
Cons- We had an issue with the fridge working upon arrival and a maintenance tech had to come out, cleanliness could have been better, and not having a floater dock made it hard to get into the water with small children

The house was very nice and clean upon arrival. The living space was comfortable and the kitchen had sufficient tools needed to cook for our family for the week. The kids especially loved the games and theater room. The outside was beautiful and well kept. Weunaware of a service call co the

Nice house, great fire pit, excellent location.

This home was one of the cleanest and well stocked homes I have stayed in. And the communication from the owner was top notch.
Not only did we have excellent check-in insturctions, we were there duirng inclement weather and we have an email telling us how to handle things like power outages, request a flashlight, etc.
The location of the home was great and it had plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained. The movie theater was a huge plus given we had a rainy day inside!
Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and accommodations. We rented a pontoon boat right across the lake and enjoyed swimming and touring the lake. When we weren’t on the water we also enjoyed the game room. Thank you for allowing dogs. She had as much fun as we did!

We came to celebrate my youngest son’s high school graduation. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. My boys loved the game room and night fishing off the dock - caught a ton of fish! My husband and I enjoyed the view from the downstairs master. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our first visit to SML, and our VRBO.
The house was clean, comfortable, and is conveniently located. We hope to go back soon.

The house was clean and fully stocked. We did not have to go buy a bunch of items for our stay which is nice. The house location was great. Short drive to grocery store and the marina. The house had an amazing theater room which was not shown in any of the pictures so that was a nice surprise. Overall we had a great time.

We loved staying at this property. Beautiful location of the lake and beautiful home. The only thing we would have enjoyed more is having the bath (master) closer to the master bedroom room and there was a vent in the master bedroom. Other than that, we wish our stay would have been longer.

Very nice property access to the dock was a little steep for the seniors. But overall very nice. Oct 30th swimming in the lake the kids and young adults enjoyed themselves.

We had the MOST wonderful time for a surprise birthday for my dad. The water views are breathtaking, the firepit and hot tub look out that same direction so anyplace you are, the view is great! The first floor "game room" was so fun, everything was new. Love the decor! Thanks so much!

Quiet house and neighborhood. The hot tub was a plus. We enjoyed it greatly! The sun sets directly across the lake so it is so nice to sit on the back porch (with plenty of seating!) and watch it go down. Downstairs, there is a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table and an arcade game. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we find ourselves back at Smith Lake!

Our family had a great time at the lake. The house has everything we needed and the kids loved to jump off the dock, play pool, and relax in the hot tub. The views were lovely. Property manager was quick to address any questions. Highly recommend!

This was my first time at SML & it was spectacular! My nephew & family were staying nearby & their rental home did not allow dogs inside. I found this gem of a home that did & my girl Gabi & I were able to join them for a few days of boating. It was actually a shame that we did not have more time to spend at the home itself, as we left each morning & returned home in time for bed. The place is super nice, clean, well furnished & in a great neighborhood for our morning walks. Quiet place. And less than 6 miles from the house they were at. I would not hesitate to return next year, or perhaps even in the Fall. Thank you for allowing well behaved dogs at your place. Much appreciated!

Our rental was perfect for our family! The location was excellent. The grandkids loved swimming and fishing from dock. And of course the rec room was a hit with them. My husband and I enjoyed our sight seeing ride around the lake on the Virginia Dare and we all had fun at the shops, arcade and putt putt. The weather could not have been any better. The only issue we had was concerning the last step from the walkway to the dock itself. My husband and I, on separate days, both missed that last step and fell. I actually went head first off the edge and sustained several scrapes and bruises as well as a bang to the head. Not a safe step for anyone, especially for older folks!! We are in our 70’s. I hope you can make some safety upgrades so that no one else gets hurt! Thanks so much.

Best long weekend on the lake at this beautiful home! This lake is gorgeous and the amenities of the home are exceptional! The memories made here were unforgettable. We utilized the concierge service offered and had a kitchen full of groceries stocked away upon arrival, making our first night there very relaxing. The hot tub was pristine and we got to enjoy it every evening. The game room kept my little one entertained for hours. We lunched at drifters, a local boat bar and grill and absolutely loved it. We visited fables and feathers winery our last day there and we’re blown away at how kid friendly it was. We had an excellent time with everything we did our entire stay here. Would absolutely stay again!

Great place for a long weekend getaway with another couple. The downstairs did get a lot colder than the upstairs, but it didn’t bother us. Beautiful views of the lake from the deck and hot tub, fire pit was nice for the evenings and the walk to the dock wasn’t as bad as we thought! Loved having the game room for hanging out inside. We would love come back!

Location is great - right off the main channel. If you have dogs to travel with this is a great place. Kitchen is well appointed. Not much room for your food though. Master bed comfy. 2nd bed not so much for two people -kinda roll to the middle. 2nd bathroom/toilet is more of a side mount 🤪. If you're a big person you won't fit. The dock is great! Wonderful outdoor seating at the dock and the porch! We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave!!!

Great experience! Had everything you need. Great place for having dogs and sitting outside! Hot tub was very nice master bed was comfy! Only wish the pool table was level... it was pretty slanted all the balls roll into one hole so you couldn’t really play anything. Would stay again!

The location was great with a great view. This is a small property, but perfect for out 4 adults (Parents plus two adult children). The kitchen has some of the best pans, tools that I've experienced at other places-newer and variety. I wish I had checked the buffet cabinet in the dining area to find the serving pieces before Thanksgiving. Dining outside was nice.
It's really not big enough for more than 4 adults. From our experience, the furniture is too big for the rooms, so it feels a bit closed in after a couple days. You get tired of squeezing around the large coffee table to enter and exit the large sofa from one side since the large chair and ottoman block the other entrance. I appreciate they are trying to put the largest beds in all rooms, but it starts to be too much inching around things after a few days. I wish they'd put a sign in the fenced in area to tell guests to pick up their dog poop. It's in the manual, but obviously, some prior guests with large dogs did't read the manual. A sign in the area might help that.

Spent 3 days with hubby and it was exactly what we needed! The peace and serenity of sipping coffee on the deck in the morning can’t be topped! Taking time to just relax, unwind and spend time together was priceless. This property will not disappoint, well stocked, very clean and the perfect setting. Our pups are family and having them with us and having a fenced in yard for them to run and exercise was a bonus! We had rain two days so would have been nice to have a deck of cards or dominos handy (or maybe we just didn’t find). Only negative was random emails from property management company, one asking how our stay went WAY too early. I actually panicked cause I thought they had the wrong check out date. Second was Checkout email way too early with an invoice for another person for damage on another property. The property itself is amazing!

Property was ok, but had to keep A C. high upstairs because bedrooms downstairs were freezing. One bedroom downstairs was too small, had to put suitcase out in hall. Also, could brush teeth while on toilet downstairs, toilet and sink too close. Living room had lots of spiders. Vrbo listing said there was a kayak, and there wasn’t so that’s an additional cost. Personally, wouldn’t rent again for those reasons.

The lake house was amazing. It was phenomenal having our 2 senior dogs
