Excellent view and service with lovely staffs.

We could tell the room was set up very thoughtfully. We loved all the small details especially the variety of amenity provided in the small kitchen. Breakfast was full of varieties as well, the view outside the room was also stunning.

Wir kommen wieder

Uns hat vor allen Dingen die fantastische Aussicht auf die beeindruckende Bergwelt sowie ruhige Lage des Hotels gefallen. Parkieren mit unserem Auto war problemlos und sogar gratis. Frühstück war hervorragend und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

An excellent experience

The view of the balcony is stunning! The location is a bit far from the city centre, but it can be reached by bus. The room is quite comfortable and the staff are so helpful. The breakfast is good, especially the croissant and the yogurt!

Einer der besten Hotels, in dem wir waren , Familiär, Zimmer, Ausblick, Essen ,alles war super

Über Unseren Aufenthalt konnten wir uns mehr als nur freuen , nicht nur das Frühstück war sehr gut , sondern das Zimmer mit einem zauberhaften Blick zu den Bergen hat uns die Sprache verschlagen. Ebenfalls ein sehr großes Dankeschön an das Personal , welches uns nicht nur mit einem Lächeln den Tag versüßt haben , sondern uns mit Informationen und Empfehlungen gegeben haben , am Ende des Check out Tages hatten wir Schwierigkeiten, doch das Personal hat und sehr geholfen und uns in jeglicher Situation unterstützt, worauf wir uns ganz herzlich bedanken möchten. Wir als Familie können jedem das Hotel Gletscherblick nur ans Herz legen.

One of the best apartment in Grindelwald

The view from Duplex apartment was spectacular. Quite pricey but worth of it. Spacious unit and suitable for family. Breakfast was good as well. This would be best choice if you are driving as it is located at uphill. However, public transport available to those get off grindelwald station. Kitchen is fully equipped so you can have your own cooking.

There was some unpleasant smell when we check in. Informed hotel staff. Housekeeping staff came and cleaned. After that, no more bad smell. The hotel staffs were very responsive.

Negatives: The sounds of neighbors and people on the corridor are very clear, which is not nice. Ceilings are low Bathroom design is old.

Holiday in Grindelwald

The hotel is fantastic; you can view the mountain in front of your room, and it is breathless. The room is comfortable and very spacious compared to the other Grindelwald hotel I was used to. The staff (and restaurant) was friendly and helpful. It might appear a little bit far away from the Grindelwald station or terminal, but that's not an issue since the bus 124 stop close to the other hotel in front of you reaches both destinations in a few minutes. I will be thrilled to return if I have the opportunity again. Thanks a lot

Beau séjour

Bien pensé pour les enfants. Des jeux adaptés proche du baby foot + au petit déjeuner. Personnels agréables. Chambre assez spacieuse pour 3 personnes dont 1 enfant. Très belle vue sur l'Eiger. Très bien desservi par les bus ou 10min à pied des remontées.

Chaleur dans la chambre. Restauration moyenne ce soir la. Peut-être n'avons nous pas fait le bon choix.

The view is just splendid, the room is clean, the breakfast is great, the staffs are friendly and helpful, the parking is free, the damage is reasonable, will definitely back again !

Luv everything, if I really have to be super picky about it, I believe carpet need a bit of fixing, then it will be perfect

Nice, cozy and great for a family stay

a nice and cozy place with a great balcony view. we were lucky to have the duplex apartment as the upper rooms provided ceiling windows that cast nice light and view when it was raining. the hotel provides shuttle services to and from the train station, so be sure to use it for ease of transportation.

Great hiking trip

Lovely breakfast, very friendly staff who speak very good English. Lovely sun terrace, great views. Great hiking.Tea and coffee machine available in dining room.

My balcony was a large shared area, with very few seats. Hotel is up a short steep hill, no problem to me but could be to others pushing cases. Restaurant closed due to staff shortages despite email a few days before saying it was available..Transport from station only available subject to staff avalability

Incredible views.

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced too. Lovely large room with balcony and an incredible view. Comfortable bed and top quality en-suite. Nice breakfast but a little restricted in choice. Buffet style so you wont go hungry. Would return here again when in this area.

The hotel was a little out of town. It's a 15 minute walk to town all downhill. Obviously the walk back is uphill and quite steep too. Not really a criticism but a reasonable degree of fitness is called for. Its position is what gives it the spectacular views and I wouldn't change that.

A Luxurious Homestay

Felt like a luxurious homestay. The scenic mountains looks magnificent from large windows and balcony doors. Every piece of furniture is set for the convenience of the guests and not just as an element of design. Irene was super sweet to us and welcomed us like a family. Even when the hotel was fully booked, she managed to squeeze us into a suite at a nominal fare. Breakfast was delicious with the best fresh croissants I had in Switzerland. Even our table was preset with a Baby chair. The location is less than 10 mins drive from the 2 Grindelwald Stations and the Hub

A must visit.

To begin, consider that your stay is in a cabin style alpine theme hotel. We thought it was beautifully kept and no alpine home is complete without the cascading petunias. Our room fit us just fine. The beds were cozy and we were grateful for the complimentary drinks in our room. The best part of our stay though, the balcony. Talk about location, location, location. You are slightly higher up than most of the surrounding hotels so your view of the mountains will seem more panoramic. The view from our balcony each morning was everything we could have ever wanted. The staff was very friendly and kind. We were offered parking and breakfast as part of the price. We will return.

I wouldn’t say that we didn’t like it but I think it’s important to note that since your slightly higher up, the walk into the city will take a little longer and your return will greet you with an incline. If you’re handicapped, speak with the front desk. They have a van that can pick you up and drop you off at certain locations. Also, if you’re not used to eating cold cuts for breakfast, know that the offerings for hot items is minimal. They offer scrambled eggs. You won’t go hungry if you’re willing to embrace their way of doing things.

Amazing location and view of the mountains. Very cosy rooms and they were a great size. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and catered to all diets. Beautiful deck out front to enjoy a coffee in the morning. Very unobtrusive staff. We would recommend/come back

The amazing peaceful location means its a 10 min walk out of town so make sure to request the hotel transport if you have heavy bags.

Perfection!

This place is amazing! We had a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect, surrounded by nature but still close enough to be in the city center in a couple of minutes. Breakfast was amazing also, with plenty of options, all very tasty and great quality. Overall it's like a fairytale place, pure perfection!

The only bad thing is that we had to leave once our vacation ended! 😅

Breathtaking views, could use a more friendly touch

The view from the deck was incredible, huge mountains right in front of you. Hard for a picture to capture.

The rooms were very basic and dated, not upscale. The staff and other locals seemed bothered by helping people shuttle to different locations and somewhat ‘shamed’ people for not wanting to walk everywhere when not all visitors are used to walking up steep hills in higher altitudes. Not very friendly to folks if you aren’t in solid walking health.
