Barefoot Pelican - Bring your family and friends together in this spacious oceanview 4BR/3.5BA middle-row vacation home with a pool that is just a short walk to the beach. This vacation spot has plenty of parking, even for a boat trailer, and is just a 2-minute drive to the free public boat ramp. The ground-level game room with a foosball table and video games also offers a second full refrigerator to make outdoor grilling convenient.

Barefoot Pelican, a newly updated (kitchen, LVP flooring and amenities) a 4BR (PLUS BONUS ROOM)/3.5BA vacation home with a pool, has everything you need to enjoy a trip to Emerald Isle. The spacious home offers ocean views, a very short walk to the beach for relaxing, fishing, or surfing, and is situated along the expansive walking and biking path. Barefoot Pelican is within walking distance of 2 beach accesses, the free public boat ramp, and a children’s park. You are a short drive, or bike ride from many restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and grocery stores. It’s an ideal location to explore Emerald Isle!

~2400 Sq Ft the home features a reverse floor plan to maximize ocean views. The expansive main living area is on the top floor of the home with bedrooms on the ground level and second floor. The bottom floor features an additional full refrigerator and game room with a sleeper sofa and a foosball table.

First Floor Features: Full refrigerator, sleeper sofa, pool door entrance, flat screen smart TV, additional seating, Bedroom 1 w/ king bed and ensuite bathroom. The door to the bedroom and bonus/game room can be closed for privacy.

Second Floor Features: Bedroom 2 with king bed, ensuite bathroom, smart TV. Bedroom 3 with king bed and smart TV. Bedroom 4 with two single beds and smart TV. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are situated on the ocean side of the house and have direct access to an outside covered deck with furniture.

Third Floor Features: Large spacious living area, open oceanside deck with furniture. The open and airy kitchen provides a breakfast bar with seating for 6. The large living room couch facing the smart TV and oceanviews is a comfortable space to enjoy a family move or relax with your favorite book. The dining area has enough seating for 6. Half bathroom for convenience. There is a work nook in the kitchen that provides a space to work from a lap top.

Additional Amenities: Outdoor gas fire pit and 3 adult bikes for your use. Full-size washer and dryer in the laundry room. Hot and cold enclosed outside shower. Gas Grill. Picnic Table. Oceanside pool with furniture. Beach cart and pool toys.

Parking: 4-5 full-size cars or trucks or 3-4 cars and a boat trailer

No Smoking of ANY kind - $250 fee applies

1 dog under 50lbs permitted with no fee. Second dog permitted with a $150 non-refundable fee.

Cameras:

Nowadays, there are cameras everywhere. Unfortunately, it’s a way of life these days. There are (3) Ring security cameras on the property. These are for our protection. We need to monitor access to the pool area. They are NOT looking at the pool. We turn the notifications off during the rental season. The videos are archived for 180 days.

1. Door Bell.

2. Camera 2 looks at the sliding glass door and gate accessing the pool area.

3. Camera 3 looks at the other gate by the HVAC equipment

Everything was great about our stay. The property owners were easy to communicate with throughout the process. They even let us know when the house was clean a bit early so we could check in an hour before the listed time. The house, pool, and proximity to the beach was great for our group (4 adults and 3 kids). We hope to have a chance to stay here again!

Everything was quite good except that the ground floor door from the game room to pool would not open. Also, the published description claims “5 bedrooms” but there are only 4. The fifth as the owner later explained is a “sleeping area”. Actually it is the ground floor game room with a fold out sofa. Not what we expected.

We had never been to Emerald Isle. We were lucky to find this house for the week of July 4th. We have a family of 6 and it was the perfect house. The house is beautiful and the best part is the private pool. The area outside is well maintained with a great sitting area and a shower with hot/cold water so it’s perfect to use after spending the day on the beach. The bedrooms are nice size and you have an area downstairs that has a full size refrigerator to store drinks and snacks for the pool. The kitchen and living area is on the top floor so you can enjoy the ocean view. There is a porch on this level with great seating to enjoy the beach breeze as well as the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are. It is a short walk to the beach and partly shaded so very nice when it’s hot. Also, it is pet friendly, which was great. Overall our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this home for your next beach getaway.

We had ages of 6 months up to 62 and we all loved the house especially the pool area. The third level kitchen/living area was fantastic and you could see the ocean from the kitchen and living area. The only negative of the week was the cleaning crew arrived at the same time we did at our 4 o’clock check in so we did not get access to the house until around 6pm. I would definitely recommend the agency hire additional cleaning staff. Other than that it was a great week and we loved the house. Would definitely stay again and hope to next year.

The property and location were great. There were only a couple of things that could have been better. First, there needs to be more than 2 wash clothes per person provided. Second, one hand towel per bathroom doesn't give you anything to use while they are being washed and dried. If this is all that is going to be supplied it needs to made clear so guest can bring some from home. I really enjoyed the check in and out process being so EASY. This was our first time doing VRBO. .
