Wow! Join The Oneida lake house club and enjoy the luxury of two bubbling jacuzzi, a sunset night cap on one of The Oneida’s over sized gazebos or a day of laying out on the club lawn. Or take one step off the club yard and enjoy the sand between your toes. Besides being packed with all you need condo one also has its own private deck, and a couple of arcade games for some family completion. This unit can hold the most guests out of all 5 units in our historic 12,000 square foot beach front building! Side note - This is the tallest freestanding property on Oneida Lake and was built by a famous physician from NYC in the 1800's, so much history here!

Parking for guests will be direct across the street in a large parking lot that is completely free for all Oneida House guests. Please be respectful of this arrangement and considerate of other guests' parking.
All guests enter through the communal front door- Unit #2 guests will then walk straight forward to the door with "Unit #2" on it.
Unit #2 guests have access to their private balcony (on BOTH floors) equipped with a grill, seating area, and patio and then down to the backyard, beach, and shared hot tubs. There is a spiral staircase that goes up to the other units and because the exterior staircase ends at another unit's patio we ask that guests are considerate of any other guests while using this staircase and do their best to respect those occupying that unit's privacy.

Because this is a multi-unit house, we ask that all guests be respectful of others renting and are considerate of their noise levels, express caution when bringing luggage up and down the staircases, and display kindness when interacting with other guests.
Unit #2 is on the first and second floors of a multi-unit building. A shared entrance through the front door opens up to a communal laundry area that is free for all guests in the building to use. The backyard has games, seating, and hot tubs for our guests to use as well. Please wash down all sand before entering the hot tubs.
✹A refundable security deposit hold amounting to $400.00 will be placed. Rest assured, your personal information will be handled with the highest confidentiality.✹
-Please treat our home and amenities with the same respect you would your own, leave home in same condition you found it and if you notice anything broken or out of place let us know right away
-No smoking and no recreational or illegal drug use whatsoever on the property. Any evidence of smoke in the home after check out will be subject to a $300 fine and any guests found to be partaking in illegal drug use while still inhabiting the home will be removed immediately, no refund will be issued and possible legal ramifications will ensue
-Please be extremely careful with starting a fire in the outdoor kitchen fireplace. Please clean up any garbage left around this area and use caution when enjoying a fire
-Parties are not allowed under any circumstances unless prior notice and permission is given such as a family gathering, large birthday, significant event, etc. All must be cleared by the host prior to booking
-Respect the neighbors: it is very important that noise levels are kept reasonable in the outdoor areas after 10pm. If there are any complaints we may not be able to continue hosting in the future and any repeated noise complaints will result in removal from property
-Please notify us of any extra house guests as they must be approved before staying- you may be charged an additional fee or, depending on the circumstances, we will enforce a removal from the property for all guests immediately without a refund
-Report damages and anything in non-working condition
-Please no food or drink in the bedrooms, guests will be liable to compensate host for any stains
-It is self check in and out with a smart code that will be given a few days prior to your booking. Guests are required to lock all windows and doors before they depart

This was our 40th year vacationing at Sylvan Beach. Our first year was at the Oneida and several years since. We have witness many remodels of the property over the year. We enjoy the location and the access to the beach. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. Unfortunately, there is a major issue with the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom, making the floor dangerous and flooding the light fixture and making it short out. I would recommend that more towel fixtures and or hooks be added to rooms for hanging towels and clothing. There is also a need for hand rails in the bathrooms and on the deck and beach steps for handicap visitors.

Unfortunately this unit was far from ideal. First, there is no air conditioning in the main living space but the listing indicates the unit is air conditioned. There is no way to move air through as the doors do not have screens so you cannot leave them open. This is one of several units in the same property and there are no blinds on any windows or doors so there is no privacy whatsoever. Other guests were regularly looking directly into the unit. We immediately addressed these concerns with the landlord but nothing was done to correct it though they indicated they’d look into it and get back to us. We never heard back. The bathrooms were both lacking and be careful turning on the shower as it’s far too powerful for the small space. There is little to no closet space in bedrooms. Walls (or makeshift doors) that separate units are extremely low quality so you hear all other guests and their dogs as if they are in your unit. One of my friends woke up covered in bugs, the entire room was covered, as they came in through a window a/c unit. Hot tub was dirty and full of sand. We’ve stayed in the penthouse previously and it was beautiful but this was very different. Location is beautiful, can’t beat the views, but I would not recommend this unit. In sharing our concerns with the owner/property manager nothing was done other than thanking us for our feedback. Really disappointing overall.
