The location is not bad

Very poor customer service. The staff or manager was rude and condescending with zero customer service skills . There's a clause that states that if a customer is arriving earlier than the check in time which is 3pm, the customer should inform the management ahead of time. I sent a message to notify them of my arrival and that my flight is arriving a abit earlier than the check in time. And I received a very blood response from the management and I quote "we cannot accommodate you within that time" My flight arrived at 10am. It was my first time in the UK, an environment I am not familiar with at all. After loitering at the airport for a while I decided to board a taxi to the Rostron House where I have made a reservation. I was hoping I could sit at the reception and wait till the check in time to my room which was 3pm. When I got there, the door was locked. I rank the bell and a staff responded over the phone, I explained to him that I am supposed to check in at 3pm but my flight arrived earlier. He asked me if I had sent a notification prior to my early arrival, i Said i did and i told him the response I got. He then proceeded in the same manner by telling me without even saying sorry, that they can't not accommodate me for the time being. That I should come at 3pm. I even proposed to him that I don't mind sitting at the reception or living room just to wait but he refused, didn't open the door and said the cleaners are yet to tidy the place. I carried my luggage and was wondering around like a stray dog. I regretted why I even opted for such a cheap place. Long story short, I came back at 3pm and behold, they actually had a living room plus kitchen that had a large sofa and a dining table and chairs where a customer can actually sit and wait but this staff or management was just wicked and arrogant.

DO NOT BOOK!!!

Outside the property needs some work. But the inside was actually quite nice, well decorated and updated.

If you want an honest (cleaner then I would like it to be) review.. keep reading. They didnt send me any information for the access to the property, including the code to get in. When i rang to speak to someone to grant me access... the person I got was rude, he was unwilling helping and sighed heavily down the phone whilst doing so. During the concert that i was attending alone, they cancelled my booking, didnt tell me they cancelled my booking and booked someone else in. So when I got back to the property at 2am, my codes didnt work. So I an ALONE 28 year old female.. was locked outside (even though my stuff was in the draws inside) in an area I dont know, no relations or friends in the are to be able to fall back on. And when I was speaking to him, he told me that it was me who cancelled it.. even though I was at a gig at the time it was cancelled and my phone was dead at the time, and the fact on my app it stated that "the booking was cancelled by the property". He was extremely rude throughout the call, didnt appologise for the inconvenience caused once!.. no offer of helping to find me somewhere appropriate to stay at. So for my safety, the best he could offer was the sofa in the communal lounge, in a guest house full of people that I dont know. Then hung up and didnt answer any of the 26 calls made and clearly didnt care that he left an alone 28 year old female unsafe.. even though he has a duty of care for all clients. Disgustingly rude, unhelpful, will cancel your bookings and dont care for your safety in the process of doing so

Shockingly Poor Hygiene especially the stained Bed sheets

Value for Money and Excellent Location for Me - I Would Stay Here Again

overall a very good stay, excellent value for money, it wasnt very clear on the booking that the small room (room 7) would come with a shared bathroom but i got over it. I had an issue one night when i came downstairs to use the kitchen and make a cup of tea (possibly 30.01.2024) and noticed a lot of youths present downstairs who had clearly been smoking the exotic stuff, I dont think all of these were guests, it is possible they had one room and the other came to keep them company but they didnt disturb my sleep or start a rave so each to thier own. I enjoyed my room, it was comfortable, warm and clean. I would stay here again.

Spacious room.

There's a communal area but no chair and desk area in the room for privacy. Couldn't find milk for hot drinks in the fridge.

Modern, basic, great for just crashing out after a busy day in the city.

Private room with en-suite. Shared kitchen and lounge facilities are very modern and clean. Value for money, perfect accommodation after events at Manchester Apollo.

Private room (on the ground floor) could be made more comfortable with a sofa, rather than just a bed and the en-suite bathroom was tiny… bigger than slim to average and you might struggle fitting in between the glass shower panel and the wall to use the lavatory.

Location fine. Good value for money. Easy to access the property. Room was clean and the bed comfortable.

VERY basic. There is only a bed in the room. No chair, desk / table or even bedside table. If these were added it would improve my rating significantly.

Good. No major issues.

Cleanliness, location (£5 Uber from the airport), no problems with late check-in & early check-out. I wouldn't choose it for a leisure stay, but it was perfectly suitable for a couple of hours' sleep before my early train in the morning.

Self-check-in/out system is difficult to use. It's easy to put in the wrong code. I heard multiple people struggling at their door throughout the night. There is a number you can call, but I would suggest changing the system to something more user-friendly.

Superb value for money!

Very clean throughout, nice decor, comfy bed, keyless entrance, towels provided, room with TV and Wifi, quiet area, outstanding value for money.

Lack of bedside lamp in my room for cozy reading, (bur maybe there's one in the other rooms).
