This well-appointed vacation retreat is loaded with designer touches, custom artwork, a robustly stocked kitchen & splendid furnishings - including high-end leather seating throughout. This home offers a grand, soaring great room and sunroom section. This vacation retreat includes three comfortable bedrooms and two full baths.

You can choose to lounge on the spacious outdoor deck or on the back flagstone patio surrounded by a custom hillside garden with an available gas grill. Guests can enjoy the wood burning fire pit while viewing mountain sunsets under grand oak trees. A two-car garage is also available to easily store any outdoor recreation or mountain biking gear. There is ample parking available to accommodate up to 4 vehicles on a large level driveway. What a fabulous retreat from the heat this was!! A wonderful home in a beautiful setting, with all the amenities one could ask for!! The deck and back patio were especially enjoyable for our group, as was the large open living space in the center of the house. Plenty of room for gathering and laughing!! We made some wonderful memories at this memorable location and plan to return to make many more!!

This house was wonderful. It is very convenient to the downtown stores but located on a hilltop overlooking mountains. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. The front of the house has an open floor plan with a huge great room, kitchen, and dining area. There is a laundry off of the great room which was very convenient The kitchen was well stocked. And there are plenty of bath towels. The house was spotless. We loved the deck and its view of the mountains and the 2 patios in the back, which allowed plenty of quiet areas and privacy. It would have been nice to have an extra a 1/2 bath, but I knew this in advance. All in all, this house is a gem!!

This was our first VRBO rental and we couldn't have been more pleased. Not only was the house beautifully appointed, the views across the valley were spectacular. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, yet the location is relatively close to shopping and good restaurants.The owner, Doug, was quite responsive on those few occasions when we needed some assistance in dealing with the unfamiliar cable syster,

Sweet Home Carolina is a comfortable and beautiful home. The view is spectacular, and the deck provides the perfect spot to view it. One could cook simple or complex meals with all the pots, pans and utensils provided. Very calm and peaceful, highly recommended.

This property was beautiful inside and out! Wonderful views; close to downtown shopping district; beautiful decor and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds. Will definitely return again! Doug was easy to work with - and even allowed us to check in a little early so my 90 year old mother could rest following a long drive to the mountains.

From the moment we pulled up to this beautiful home with amazing views, we knew we were going to have a wonderful time. This house is perfect, absolutely beautiful and so incredibly inviting. The home, view, way the home is decorated to how perfectly clean it was, made us feel at home. This is definitely a 5++++ place to stay. You don’t realize how close to town you are because of the Mountain View’s. The incredible places to eat, the shopping, and the wonderful people. The home owners have gone above and beyond to insure you and you family feel at home and comfortable. If you want an awesome place to stay, thus is it!! Sweet Home Carolina was everything and more. We knew this was going to be a wonderful three days when we walked in the door. A beautiful home with special touches to make us feel at home. These owners thought of everything to make it most comfortable. The home sits atop Waynesville with spectacular views of the mountains.

I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. Very relaxing and comfortable interior and exterior. Landscaping is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Awesome location. Secluded feel but you can be in downtown Waynesville in less than 2 minutes. Would stay again and again.

We stayed there with family while visiting our son and his family, who live in nearby Clyde. The home is beautifully and tastefully appointed with everything you need to feel at home. The beds are so comfortable and the linens high quality (which is a rare find in a rental property). And the owners thought of everything you will need to get your stay started (coffee, laundry detergent, etc). The views from the front deck are stunning - you can’t stop staring at the beautiful scenery. This is a perfect vacation home and we can’t wait to return!

The home was wonderful! Well stocked with the items we needed to cook and grill with. Very clean and the keyless entry made coming and going very easy. Good water pressure in the showers. Internet was also very responsive and had no cell phone issues. We very much enjoyed the view from the deck especially the one evening when there was a heat lightning show over the mountains. Would definitely stay at again.

This property is a 5 min. drive from downtown Waynesville. The view is amazing and quiet. The home is beautiful with 3 different outdoor sitting areas. We ate out a couple times and ended up cooking in alot to enjoy the view and peacefulness. Buttered Biscuit for breakfast, Frog Level Brewing for lunch and Sweet Onion for dinner. Thank you to The Gosnell's for sharing their retreat with us. If you are in the area and do not stay here, you will miss out on one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at.

Beautiful place with nice high ends. Great location to Waynesville downtown but still very secluded for privacy. Steep drive to home but that is very normal for the area. The deck views are amazing, so peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Loved the extra touches with keurig and great selection of tea. Smart TV and loved having Alexa for music. Plan on using next time when in town.

This is a beautiful home - just as pictured - inside and out! Only a few minutes out of town but high on a mountain with great views. Very well outfitted, a complete kitchen for folks who want to cook - we prefer to eat out and found a new restaurant - Singletree at Walker Station. We went down to the Farmers Market on Saturday and came home with lots of goodies! Then we went off to Frog Level where they were having a festival. After dinner at Chef's Table on our last night we came home to find two friendly rabbits munching clover in the front yard. The owner was easy to work with and very accommodating - we will be back and have made reservations.

Sweet Home Carolina is a relaxing home away from home. Beautiful furnishings, great kitchen and bathrooms, plenty of room inside and out. Close to shopping, restaurants, and activities, but peace and quiet at the house, not to mention a gorgeous view. Definitely would stay here again!

This is a beautiful property with amazing Mountain views. The appliances are new and the home is equipped with anything one could possibly need. I had a quick question and sent the property owner a message upon my arrival. He immediately called me and my question was resolved. My wife and I look forward to visiting this property again in the future.
