Ottimo!

Ottima posizione, proprio in piazza. Bella stanza spaziosa con incantevole vista sulla valle. Molto comodo il letto. Non ho usufruito della colazione, pertanto non posso valutarla

L'aria consizionata un pochino rumorosa nel silenzio della notte, ma basta aprire le finestre...

The hotel had a city centre location, great views, a lift and happy staff.

Location & view were absolutely fantastic. The room had recently been refurbished and had a balcony, chair & table to sit at outside. Weather was very warm so unfortunately I didn't use the outside balcony during my visit. The room was very comfortable but just a little small.

Some of the neighbours were a little noisy during my stay but overall not too bad. There were no instructions for the TV and I could only watch Italian TV with no English subtitles. I did try and fiddle with the settings but I couldn't work out how to do it.

Fabulous hotel right on the square with all modern facilities .. take a room overlooking the valley!

Breakfast was good although finished a little early (9.45am)

Our room faced onto the square which was great for the view of the city but we were woken very early by the street cleaners and bin collection (6am!)

Vista maravilhosa

A vista do quarto é simplesmente maravilhosa e vale a hospedagem. Além disso, a localização é muito boa. É um.hotel antigo, que já reformou quase todos os quartos. É um hotel simples e básico, mas as vista para o vale é de tirar o fôlego. Pedimos o apto reformado e com sacada.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable room….friendly staff

The location was amazing, our room overlooked one of the main piazzas and we had a small balcony which was a bonus. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I were to return to San Gimignano

It was just delightful.

Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The location is ideal, being on the main square of this historic, traffic-free town. Our room had a small balcony with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside. It was also a sentimental journey for us, a return visit to where we spent part of our honeymoon 40 years earlier.

Superb

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Cisterna in San Gimi. Lots of walking but so beautiful. Public transport was a bit of a challenge getting there by train from Rome. A cancelled train meant that we didn’t arrive at the local station, Poggibonsi, till late evening. Thankfully a fellow traveller who lived in San Gimi took pity on us and offered us a lift! She was a Godsend! Makes for very happy memories!

Great location. Lovely shared deck.

We had a shared deck, which was excellent. It gets the afternoon sun, which meant it was too hot until 6 pm (in late September). Then we watched the sunset. Excellent views of the valley.

Our room lost water pressure in the morning. Nothing but brown crud came out of the tap and toilet. Eventually the water returned, but we weren't about to drink it! Staff were divided: some were pleasant and helpful and some yelled and screamed at you!
