My wife and I stayed at this property for 4 nights beginning on August 26. The view is spectacular from a huge deck that included a dining table & chairs, two loungers and two high back chairs.
I don't think you could find a better view anywhere in Positano. The apartment was very clean with everything needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Giovanni was a wonderful host and helped arrange porters for our luggage and a private driver for our trip to Naples upon checkout.
I would highly recommend this apartment if you plan on visiting Positano. Quite a few steps up to the property but well worth the climb.

I and my daughter stayed at Giovanni’s place abd founs it to be incredible It was just as advertised, a rarity. Considerable steps to climb if you go down to the business district but all worth it. Really a beautiful place. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay in Positano at Giovanni's place. It was a lot of stairs-- but so worth it for the view. Due to the location of this apartment, it feels less crowded/busy compared to the main beach of Positano. We really enjoyed Da Ferdiando's at Fornillo Beach (we rented chairs/umbrella two days at the Beach Club). You can't find this view anywhere else!! The pictures are incredibly accurate and the view is jaw dropping!

Stayed for 6 days and loved the location

Holy Steps!!! There are around 200 steps with a good incline from the street but each step is worth it for the view and the accommodations. Use the porters at the port for all your bags, worth every penny. We are almost 60 and climbed the steps several times each day. Giovanni went above and beyond. Villa was spotless and served us well. Pictures do not do the view justice. Ferry was cancelled and Giovanni arranged for a car to take us to Naples and the porters to carry our bags down. He is the best host in Positano

As long as you don’t mind steps (which if you’re going to Positano that should be expected), don’t pass up staying at this place. Giovanni was very helpful and his property is amazing. The views are incredible. What a unique property and experience. It was the perfect stay for my honeymoon!

Grazie Giovanni for our wonderful honeymoon stay at your villa! The view from the balcony was stunning and all captures all of Positano! Your homemade wine was a special touch upon our welcome. Thank you for being a wonderful host! We look forward to visiting again.

My boyfriend and I came here (my first trip to Italy). Per the reviews, I was mentally prepared for the many stairs, but not physically prepared. After a few days, we both feel much more in shape.
I recommend planning your day out so you do not need to walk up the stairs more than once or twice daily. The place has the most gorgeous view and is absolutely worth the trek up to the place. Before arriving in Positano, I received recommendations to get reservations at all sorts of hotel restaurants in order to get the famous Positano view for pictures. If you stay here, you don’t need any other view!
The place is quieter as it is off the main Street, but walkable to everything you could want to do. The small beach is just a few minutes walk, which we preferred to the main beach that was much busier. However, if you are interested in the main beach, that is also just 15 minutes away as well.
I was pleasantly surprised how many options we had for coffee, restaurants, pharmacy, markets, gelato, all about 15 mins walk. We spent two full days at the beach and spent another in Capri by taking the ferry from the main beach.
I was happy to be able to use the washing machine after arriving to Positano from Rome. AC is excellent too.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This apartment is the perfect accommodation. The AC works great. The balcony is huge with a killer view! There are a lot of stairs but you get used to them and learn to appreciate as you eat more and more pasta. :) it is also on a quieter side of the town which was really nice.
I will recommend to all my friends and family this place.

This is the perfect place to stay in Positano! We absolutely loved the property. The location is wonderful and close to the best restaurants (Posides for breakfast, Da Vincenzo and Il Fornillo for dinner) in town. The steps are definitely worth the views. Giovanni was super helpful and left a wonderful bottle of his own wine for us to enjoy. We couldn’t have asked for a better 10th anniversary trip! Highly recommend!!

This property was perfect for our vacation.
Breathtaking 180+ degree view of Positano and the sea
Short walk to main drag and beach (15 min) - lots of stairs, but that is Positano, as is expected.
Grocery is an 8 minute walk
Very clean
Bright and airy
Giovanni and Maria are very gracious and very attentive hosts. They even arranged our shuttle and porter services.
Would definitely come back!!

This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been and host Giovanni met us and made us feel right at home. The location and views are second to none.
thank you for a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay at Giovanni's place. We felt we had one of the best views of Positano and the Mediterranean from our huge private terrace. If you're familiar with Positano, then you know you'll be ascending and descending a lot of stairs during your visit, but that just helps build your appetite for all the amazing food nearby. Giovanni will even help you find reasonably priced porters or a private transfer to Naples if you need. Highly recommended if you prefer a private place perched high above Positano with million dollar views at a great value.

A quiet retreat high above the cliffs of Positano! The apartment is small but just the right size for a couple. It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed ourselves on the balcony! The steps are formidable.... but worth the view and the separation from the merriment at the shore.

There are a lot of steps but we got used to it. The views from the flat are to die for. My husband is 83 and he was not sure of the steps at first but he soon became accustomed to the walk up and took his time. There is everything you need in the flat. Giovanni and Maria were fantastic hosts. The retaurant at the bottom of the hill is IL Fornillo was fantastic and the wait staff were delightful

Enjoyed our experience, hard to find, mostly because we did not speak, nor read, the language. Lovely house with spectacular views

We had the best experience at this villa. Giovanni was SO helpful with the entire process and gave great recommendations. He also organized our travel from the airport to Positano. We had the most amazing view including the mountains, ocean, and city. The terrace is INCREDIBLE and very worth the steps to get to the villa. The villa is wonderful and has all the amenities one could need. Overall, we had the best experience at this villa.

The view is one of the best in Positono but like other have said the stairs are no joke. Once you get there the balcony is just great. We had a great time and for the price this place is a gem.

Giovanni is a great host! Easy to communicate with and very detail oriented. The property is beautiful and reflects the attention to detail of a homeowner managed property. The views are better then the photos as you have panoramic ocean views to the south and Positano city and mountain views to the northeast. We parked above for free and walked down. A hundred extra steps but no big deal. Stay here if it’s available.

We loved staying in this beautiful apartment! Be aware that there are a lot of stairs to get up to the apartment (you shouldn't be staying in Positano if you don't like stairs!), but it is worth it! It is high above the busy main area of town, so it is nice and quiet. The view from the terrace can't be beat. We stayed here in October, so it wasn't very busy, and we were able to walk to plent of places to eat and shop and hike. A short bus ride will take you to Amalfi. This is a perfect place to vacation!

This home is in an absolutely perfect location with a fantastic view. Pictures will not do it justice at all! Giovanni is also incredibly responsive and kind. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for something a little quieter, but also incredibly close to everything. I believe someone already mentioned it, but the only small downside is there are many stairs to get to the property. That being said, there are many stairs in Positano anyways. Thank you, Giovanni, for the excellent stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Giovanni's Positano villa for 3 nights during the month of August. He was a fantastic host, meeting us nearby to show us exactly how to get to the villa and then walk us through so we knew the ins and outs of it.
He was very communicative before we arrived, as well as during, which made for a seamless stay. The villa speaks for itself and photos cannot do the view justice. The terrace is gorgeous, quiet and private and overlooks the sea and the prime positano post card view.
It was just what we needed to close out our trip to Italy, and we'd recommend Giovanni's home to anyone visiting (espeically if you want to get some extra exposure to those many Positano steps!).
Thank you Giovanni for having us!

Book this apartment!! If you can handle a couple hundred steps from the street each time you come or go, this is the place to stay in Positano. I would argue this is the best view the town has to offer-which I know is a steep promise-but we tested it and found it to be true. The steps are no joke, though, and especially when you’re returning from Fornillo Beach after a day of Peronis and spritzes! We thought the total from the beach was nearly 1000 steps.
The apartment inside is sufficient. No frills-but the bed is comfortable, the AC worked well enough though the heat was brutal, and the bathroom was well-equipped. None of that matters though as you will never leave your enormous, private penthouse terrace. Giovanni met us and provided instructions and was responsive any time we had a question throughout our 6-night stay.
We’ve never connected more physically with a place or a view, but when we return to Positano, we will return to this apartment! Amazing—truly spectacular. Million dollar experience!

Loved the location and view of the Penthouse.Compact but fully furnished with every confort.Terrace view is to die for.The only though part are the stairs down and up,about 200,that you have to do everytime you want to go out for shopping or a nice walk.If you are fairly fit is worth it.Thank you Giovanni

We had a blast. Giovanni met us down stairs and took us up to our apartment. Place was super clean, had a nice patio so we could eat breakfast every morning and drink wine at night. It had the most incredible view! Very quiet too and close to restaurants. Thank you Giovanni for having us. Hopefully we will come back soon!

I don't have the right words to express how I felt when I got to that balcony. The photos do not show the wonder of that place. It is just AMAZING, like a dream.
The apartment is comfortable, very clean, super comfy bed, a nice kitchen to prepare something simple, and did I talk about the balcony?
Yes, it is true that there are 168 steps to reach the house, but it is really worth it. I am 53 years old, and I did it for 4 days, sometimes, more than once a day. You simply stop and enjoy the view, catch your breath and keep going.
Giovanni and Maria are very welcoming, and share a bottle of their own wine whit their guests.
One of my best vacation ever.
Una de mis mejores vacaciones.
Thank you Giovanni y Maria.

Giovanni is a very lovely host, he gave us guide about bus station, where to go and he even gave us a bottle of wine he made! The b&b has fantastic view accross Positano, we had breakfast at the terrace everyday!

Beautiful view and close to pretty much everything we needed to do! Our advice is to bring some good shoes for the stairs and do one or teo big grocery shops with a backpack and you’ll be good to go!
No complaints with the house it was a perfect bit of paradise to chill out and rest.

We had a great stay in the penthouse at Villa Boscariello. The best part is definitely the terrace. The view is incredible, taking in the sea and part of the town as well. Our favourite day was the one we spent on the sun loungers with our books. Yes, it is a climb up quite a few steps to reach it (where in Positano doesn't require a climb though??) but the terrace is worth every step.
Giovanni is a great host, always with a smile and a word when you meet him on the property or about town.
I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend.

This review is for the month of January 2019. We stayed in the Penthouse the entire month.
All the rave reviews about the location and views are not overstated. We spent many hours on the terrace enjoying the sunrises, sunsets, storms, listening to the waves hit Fornillo beach below...etc.
Giovani’s house has three levels. He rents the second floor (larger space) and the top floor or Penthouse where we stayed. Be sure to understand which pictures represent the residence you are renting. The two of us were very comfortable for the entire month. Giovanni is very responsive to any need and all questions. His place is clean and modern. The steps kept us in shape for the entire month.
In January, Positano is very quiet with over half of the hotels and restaurants closed. This allowed us to get to know the shop owners and restaurant owners throughout the town. They were very warm and engaging once they got to know us. This was our favorite part of our stay.
Best activities included: hiking the Path of the Gods between Bomerano and Nocelle, bus trips up and down the Amalfi Coast between Sorrento and the town of Amalfi, spending a day in Praiano, exploring the stairways and streets of Positano and taking food and drink to the pier/beach for lunch.
Favorite stores to buy provisions were Latteria on Via Pasitea and The Deli near the main beach. Paradise (near the main beach) was our favorite spot for coffee and bakery goods. Restaurants we enjoyed: Grottino Azzura and C’era Una Volta (both on Via G. Marconi near Bar Internationale) and La Cambusa on the main beach.
Would stay here again without hesitation.

Just the nicest place and the steps were easy and good exercise.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and really loved it there! The view was beyond beautiful and none of these photos really do it justice. It is overwhelmingly beautiful! The minute we arrived, we felt relaxed! We spent a lot of time wandering around Positano and loved the shops and great restaurants.

My daughter and I stayed at Giovanni's apartment while visiting Positano, and instantly fell in love with everything about it. There is nothing even slightly in the realm of a negative comment or complaint I could make. The apartment is situated on the uppermost west end of the town, still close to all the activity but away enough that it feels blessedly remote and peaceful.
Giovanni was an exceptionally gracious and engaging host. He met us at the parking lot where we stored our car (25 Euros/day) and then walked us up the many steps to the apartment. It's important to note here that you must be prepared to climb steps when visiting Positano, there are approximately 220 from the road to the front door alone. If you want to visit the beach, its another 600 or so down, and then back!
The apartment itself is charming and well appointed. It has everything you need for a short, comfortable stay. Spend time relaxing on the broad terrace overlooking the sea, and you may decide to scrap your life back home for a new one on the magnificent Amalfi Coast. Giovanni may pop by for a visit with his dog, Luna, just to make sure you have everything you need. He is quick to offer recommendations for restaurants and local activities, all of which we followed without regret.
If you are not convinced by now that this is the best place to stay in Positano, then I am sorry I haven't done my best to describe it, this place is truly heaven on earth!
Thank you, Giovanni, for your exquisite care in hosting us. We hope to return someday soon!
