Cherry Lodge is a two bedroom, dog friendly detached, holiday home situated within the grounds of a working cherry orchard with its accommodation all on the one level it comprises of one spacious double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a further twin room, its perfect for a small family or couples looking for a getaway on the Island. Located only moments away from the centre of probably the most picturesque village on the Isle Of Wight, Godshill, an ideal central base giving easy access to all of the islands many attractions, with a winding main street, lined with a number of fantastic village pubs and tea rooms serving the best local ales and delicious cream scones and jam. The village boasts some of the oldest buildings on the Isle of Wight with its own historic medieval church at the top of the hill and numerous pretty, thatched cottages.
There is something for all to enjoy, including a model village, museums, gift shops, pubs and restaurants. There are also many miles of public footpaths and countryside to explore straight from the doorstep. The island has become a real hotspot for cycling enthusiasts, with a choice of challenging off road bridleways, peaceful byways and level, purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines that are easily accessed from this location. The property also has a secure, purpose built cycle shed to house up to four bikes

With its central Island location Godshill makes a great place to base yourself for a visit to the Isle of Wight, the popular seaside resorts of Ventnor and Shanklin are about 15 minutes away, with lovely parks, gardens and glorious beaches, and the island’s capital, Newport, with its many amenities, including a leisure centre and theatre, is also 15 minutes away.
Godshill is the quintessential English Village, and boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. With its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tearooms, Godshill is as picturesque as it is popular. It is also known for being the site of the first ever Isle of Wight Festival, which took place at Ford Farm in 1968. Whatever your interests there are plenty of things to do in Along with its collection of traditional tearooms the village contains an interesting range of shops offering local crafts and produce,
Godshill also has a very popular and highly detailed model village. The medieval All Saints Church overlooks the village from the hill and is a short but steep climb up either the steps or Church Hollow road.

Bedroom 1: double size bed, TV, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and en-suite with double width shower cubicle, rainfall shower head and shower attachment, pedestal wash hand basin, low level toilet, heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: twin bedroom comprising of 2 x 3ft single beds, wardrobe, bedside table
Family bathroom: bath with shower attachment, low level toilet & pedestal wash hand basin

Parking for 2 vehicles at the front of the property

ADDITIONAL CHARGES / SERVICES:
PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of £150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken, unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 2 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately.
There is a charger for an electric car at the property. Should you wish to use this during your stay there will be an additional £40 charge per stay, per week. Please do make us aware at the time of booking / in advance of your stay if you require this service, so we can arrange to take payment.

We had a lovely stay at Cherry Lodge. It was extremely clean, modern, comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful week at Cherry Lodge, which is new, clean, modern and very comfortable. Rob and his son quickly called round to introduce themselves with a friendly welcome and to make sure everything was ok.
Godshill is a pretty village with lots of cafes, pubs and beautiful country walks all around.
I would highly recommend Cherry lodge for a stay on the island and definitely recommend trying the Cherry juice produced at the farm, it’s delicious.

Absolutely stunning - Simeon and his family were so helpful - couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more - some of the days were torrential rain and gales but it was lovely to just be in the cabin, reading and relaxing - very well equipped - couldn’t ask for anything more and will definitely be returning! Loved everything about our stay and were genuinely sad to leave…
Honestly struggled to think of anything to put here - my dogs are really good and great off lead and don’t wander off - but potentially only improvement if someone didn’t have dogs that were trusted - making the patio more secure? But I struggled to think of a suggestion as it was so perfect x

We had an excellent stay (3 nights) at Cherry Lodge. The accommodation is brand new, comfortable and furnished to a high standard. The location is perfect for touring and a short walk to the village of Godshill, possibly the prettiest on the island. The food in the Taverners is definitely recommended
