Genoa, well-known port city and capital of Liguria region, is historically known for its important role in maritime trade over the past centuries.
Known as one of the most extensive medieval historical centers in Europe, the heart of Genoa is a maze of alleys that unexpectedly open up into small squares, often related, like the churches overlooking them, to important noble families.
The spirit of Genoa lies in the alleys, where different smells, tastes, languages and cultures perfectly blend in.
In the historical center is the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, in Romanesque style with a black and white striped façade and frescoed interiors. Narrow streets lead to monumental squares such as the Piazza de Ferrari, with its characteristic bronze fountain, and the Carlo Felice opera house.
The Genoa aquarium, the largest in Europe, is unmissable and iconic. The exhibition itinerary shows more than 70 environments and about 12,000 specimens of 600 species, coming from all the seas of the world. An unforgettable experience for young and old, which will fill your heart with emotions and a deeper respect for the sea and its extraordinary inhabitants.
Not to be missed is Genoa’s culinary tradition, with its iconic basil pesto, famous all over the world, and the “focaccia”, which can be either salted and topped with olives, onion and tomato, or even sweet and stuffed.
The accommodation is around 10 km from Genoa airport and 1.1 km from Genoa Brignole train station.

We had an easy check in process, the building is a little hard to find initially, but that could be because we came in at rush hour. If you drive, you can park on the street up to 48 hours (paid).
The apartment was nice, except for the shower and dishwasher. The dishwasher was dirty on the inside and the shower stall is very small and did not drain well. I alerted the host, but they did not fix it during our stay.
The location is great! Easy to walk around a good portion of the city. There are a lot of restaurants and gelaterias close by with great food. Would definitely stay in this area again and would stay at this apartment again if they fixed the shower!

Perfect location. Central for all the attractions and only 2 minutes walk to Ferrari Piazza. Apartment was reasonably well equiped but the bathroom and kitchen were grubby and a little tired. Some maintenance required.

Perfect location in the middle between historic center and newer areas. Easy access to bus, taxi, and essentials. Easy pickup and drop off … this is good to know if you have a lot of luggage and are on a shopping spree. At other locations in small winding streets, often on inclines, it would be very difficult rolling bags on cobble stone narrow streets. This property is in a well known tower and taxi can come right to the entrance. The quality and features are fantastic, truly represented in pictures. Would stay here again without a second thought. Loved it!

We stayed at this property for two weeks in September. Its location was perfect for us. It was in walking distance of many of the palazzos, piazzas and beautiful churches. It also was in close proximity to several neighborhoods, with typical shops and cafes, as well as to the Old Town. The property, itself, was well maintained and well-equipped. Both the living spaces (bedroom and living room) were large and opened onto a beautiful rooftop terrace, with incredible views. The terrace is a wonderful setting to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The kitchen was serviceable as was the bath. We found this to be a comfortable, well-situated apartment that was perfect for a longer stay in a beautiful city.
