Cozy, but short bed

Warm attention, nice breakfast

The bed was quite short. For me it was ok (1,75 m), but if was 5 cm taller, I wouldn't have fitted on the mattress fully stretched. I suggest therefore clarifying with the owner beforehand its size

Great pension in a great location

Pension is friendly, family-like and clean. It has a few floors accessible by stairs. The breakfast was tasty. It was selection from the cold cuts - hams, salamis, cheeses; a few types of spreads. Selection of various types of breads, rolls, baggetts. There were also sweets, jams, jogurts, cereals, and similar. On warm side there were soft boiled eggs. Tea and coffee were excellent. The location of the pension is really great - just 20 minutes slow walk to the centre - to Mozartplatz. The bus stop to city centre and Hellbrunn palace is close (some busses) or even very close (other busses) to the city centre. There are three parking slots in front of entrance - good for us. The personnel was super friendly and she offered a lot of good advices how to enjoy the city and what we should see.

Unfortunately during our stay the wifi was broken. Maybe more hot meals for breakfast could be beneficial. Otherwise, all was fine.

Very welcoming, great room, great breakfast

We were welcomed so warmly by Sandra who gave us so many awesome recommendations for more local spots to try, she took an interest in how we were enjoying our time in Salzburg. The room was big and super comfortable and the breakfast was a real treat. The location is good to, roughly a 20 minute walk into the old town, which can offer some really good mountain views! Thank you for having us, see you again!

A very pleasant place to relax and get to explore Salzburg from.

The location was excellent and Sandra was always able to make good suggestions for excursions. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice and good fresh fruit available.

The sign was a bit hard to see specially at night or on a bus. Not many places to eat within walking distance.

We loved Salzburg, and we loved Pension Katrin.

The owner was welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely and very clean. Breaklfast was lovely and plentiful. The location was good. It was a 10 minute walk to the old town or you could take the bus.

Very welcoming and great service! Can indeed recommend!

The service was impeccable and the room, especially the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast did have everything you might need and the hostess made sure you got the coffee or tea you wanted and also made sure you got refills. She also arranged a breakfast sandwich to go before the breakfast had opened on the day of my departure -great service! Got some really great reccomendations on sites to see and an easy guide to get to the town center with some sights on the way. The beds and pillows were ok, but a little hard, otherwise the room, although small, had everything needed.

So much beautiful greenery in the garden. Room was spacious with nice view and lots of natural light. Hotel manager was very kind and helpful. You will not find a better breakfast!!

We tried some excellent restaurants at Sandra’s suggestion, and were not disappointed.

Sandra was an exceptional host. She provided excellent public transportation directions to the property. She researched routes and gave us exact bus numbers and times for the buses to the Saltwerks in Hallein. Breakfast was varied and filling with lots of good hot coffee and tea. Pension Katrin is perfect for those who want quiet lodging in a neighborhood setting and don’t mind a bit of a walk to the city center. We would definitely book it again. Thank you Sandra.

Beautiful place with great service and great location in Salzburg!!!

The place is beautiful with gardens and beautiful decorations. My room even though it was small because it was only for one person, but it had everything you needed such as desk, safe box, coffee maker with tea and coffee, refrigerator with wine, beer, water and snack (for extra fee). My room had a window towards the garden which was beautiful and the breakfast, which was included in the price, was fabulous! I was there on my birthday and the Sandra who is the owner had a box of chocolate on the breakfast table for me which was very sweet and thoughtful :) I loved this place and if I come back to Salzburg, I will stay here again!

Beautiful small hotel in an excellent location, so close to the fortress and city center. Breakfast room is so bright and welcoming. Staff was friendly and very helpful with local sites and restaurant recommendations. Room was very clean and comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at Pension Katrin. The facility is spotless, comfortable, and the staff (Sandra) was extremely helpful. Breakfast was awesome! Parking onsite is a plus.

I booked a single room. As expected for a single room, it was small and the window in the room did not open widely. Therefore, it was a little warm and there was not much air circulation. Including a small fan for the summer months may be helpful.

The perfect place to stay in Salzburg

Simply wonderful - quiet, charming location, but within very easy reach of the centre of Salzburg and the railway station by bus from the stop just a minute's walk down the road. Very friendly and welcoming owner. Clean, comfortable room. All these were the reasons for booking here again for my latest stay in Salzburg - with hopefully more to come in future.
