Built in 2005 with clear inspiration from the Palladian villas, Villa Lucente is a modern villa set on a hill with a view stretching from the sea to the mountains of the Majella and Gran Sasso. Just as Andrea Palladio's buildings are elegant and solemn yet also airy and light, so Villa Lucente respects the principles of balance and symmetry typical of this style. Contemporary furnishings balanced with antiques, travertine floors, classically inspired columns which support the balcony of the master bedroom, everything reflects elegance and balance. Situated in a dominant position, it enjoys a breathtaking view of the sea of Silvi Marina which, thanks to its beautiful beach and crystalline sea, is one of the most sought-after seaside resorts of Abruzzo on the entire Adriatic coast. And it is also a starting point for exploring a territory of enormous unexpressed potential, made up of historic borghi, nature reserves, lush woodland, wild mountains and deep valleys, but also a beautiful coastline in the central Adriatic, where the Costa dei Trabocchi, old fishing machines on stilts, stands out.
Interior:
Villa Lucente has two floors, connected by an internal staircase, for a total of 270 sq m. The main entrance leads to a large open-plan area composed of a cosy living area, with fireplace, sofa, armchairs and smart TV, and a dining area. On the right, a sliding door leads to the study which can also be used as a bedroom with a queen size sofa bed (140 cm). On the left a door leads to the ground floor sleeping area consisting of a double bedroom, a bathroom with tub and shower and a small storage room used as a laundry with washing machine and dryer. The comfortable, fully-equipped kitchen, with island and stools, table and chairs, is connected to the dining area via a sliding door. Both the living room and the kitchen have access to the outside through French windows. The staircase in travertine, like the floor of the whole house, leads up to the first floor sleeping area with a double bedroom with king size bed and balcony and a twin bedroom (with joinable beds) with sloping ceiling (maximum height 167 cm near the bed and minimum height 78 cm). Serving the two bedrooms is a large bathroom with tub and shower. Air conditioning in the bedrooms (portable air conditioning in one of them) and in the kitchen.
Park:
The villa lies in a property of approximately 10,000 sq m. From the automatic vehicle gate, a driveway, adorned with oleanders, cypresses and maritime pines, leads uphill to the villa standing in an elevated position with respect to the road. The part of level garden around the house is about 1200 sq m, full of succulent plants, bougainvilleas, wisteria, geraniums and herbs such as rosemary and thyme, with hedges dividing the level area from the rest of the hilly terrain that descends towards the road and is mainly cultivated with olive and fruit trees. There is also a small grove of maritime pines and a vegetable garden available to guests with tomato plants, aubergines and other seasonal vegetables, enriched with aromatic herbs such as mint, sage and basil. The balcony of the master bedroom, supported by classic white columns, creates a large portico in front of the kitchen and dining area and is the ideal setting for alfresco meals. This side of the garden, in front of the portico, extends over a sloping surface with no fencing so as to allow you to enjoy the breathtaking view in the best way possible. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The heated swimming pool (with 7 days prior notice and up to 26 degrees) is located a few metres from the house, with a panorama stretching from the sea to the massifs of Abruzzo. The rectangular pool, measuring 4 x 10 m with the depth varying from 1,35 to 1,90 m, is lined in PVC with a mosaic border and has salt purification, internal lights and Roman steps for access to the water. The solarium area, partly paved in travertine marble and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds and umbrella. It is available to guests from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
