Lake Como offers some of the most striking urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures stands Bellagio, "The pearl of the Lario", a village of just over 3000 inhabitants on the northern end of the Larian Triangle, in which the two branches of the Lake are divided.
Among the most fascinating aspects of this village there are undoubtedly its charming villas, famous all over the world for their splendor and their manicured gardens. To mention some of them, Villa Melzi boasts many works of art and 18 km of paths in its garden, and Villa Serbelloni, today a conference center of the Rockefeller Foundation, features a wonderful garden as well. The old town, with its numerous shops located along narrow streets with steps, passages and arcades, is renowned all over the world and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied, you can visit the different lake hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the top of Monte San Primo, reachable with a dense network of paths and itineraries for lovers of trekking and nature. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by boat to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como.
The apartment is 1.3 km from Bellagio Station and 1 hour and 30-minute drive from Orio al Serio Airport. Buses to/from Como and Lecco stop a few meters from the accommodation.

The apartment was nice overall, it was a good size and the washing machine and ac was a major plus. The ac was a little loud as well as the busy street corner it’s on with all the scooters. The biggest issue we had was how tiny the shower was. In the photo it looks like it might be just showing pet if the shower, but that’s the whole thing. I will say we’re American so take that into consideration, but we couldn’t shower without the shower curtain sticking to you or water going everywhere. The check in was pretty simple tho the instructions so the door on your right but really it’s just that first door and then you need several sets of keys so the first door to the stairs leading up are locked then you look for the sign that indicates your apartment, we were confused by this. Felt safe, but it is a walk to the main part of the village especially with the heat and strap hills/stairs, def wear comfy shoes when walking to get food or beaches etc. overall we had a good time, the only thing we really were frustrated with was the shower.
