POD itself that I slept in was great. However room itself was unclean and quite a small space if you have a large suitcase. Thin pillows and mattress but overall a good place if you just want somewhere cheap to rest your head.
2.5
The room and condition was good enough. Couple of minor problems - sound isolation is not good - if somebody slammed the door of wc, if has been heard in the room. The lockers were old and loud. Other things were ok.

For the two male bunk bed room there was no description it was a 5 stories walk up very inconvenient if you have heavy luggage ,that there is no outside ventilation in the room and the air conditioning sounded awfully loud when turned on. There was one toilet and one sink per floor.

You better have good Roommates that won’t slamm the doors whenever they leave and come
Receipton is always friendly

Pretty good place! I recommend

Staff was nice, but the housekeepers opened my pod twice without knocking while I was napping.

One of the nicest hostel I stayed at.

The service is good but the space is so limited... But the price matches the quality. An economic choice.

My first time staying somewhere where I have to share a room with a stranger and my expectations were blown away. Very nice place, will most likely book again for my next visit.

Is nice place for stay but before booking this place u have to check if they allow people from PA,NJ and NY because the lady in the front desk told me a new rule about people from those states are no allowing anymore.

The staff is so kind, and helpful. Definitely booking again for my next trip. The bathroom and showers were so clean. Awesome place to stay and close to the train station.

Inside the facility is too complex to find rooms, kitchen etc and they supposedly giving free breakfast which is only coffee and bagel without any condiments. Location is good, it's next to Central Park.

Regular outlet, usb and usb-c charging for personal use inside bed area as well as a small shelf/light. Clean showers and bathrooms. Common area has seating, filtered water, tv, and A/C. Small kitchen with fridge and utensils. Small outdoor seating area. Subway station 3 blocks away from the property.

Compare to other hostel, Kama has more privacy, so you won’t happen to see other sleeping

The "included" breakfast was not at all a breakfast, but just some bagles, marmelade, and a cup of tea you can pick up in the basemant... All the doors in the hostel get stuck, and are difficult to open.. When I wanted to bring up my "breakfast" from the basement to the common room, I managed to spill all the scolding hot tea and marmelade all over myself, because of the bad condition of the doors and the inconvenience of the situation.

Overall a great experience. The pod was comfortable with amenities like a mirror, plug sockets and a towel. It was also quiet. I was surprised that I shared a room with a woman considering I booked a male room but neither of us seemed to mind. The free bagels and coffee in the morning was a bonus too. Good location to the subway and Central Park. I would return.

Loved the location walkable to everywhere you want to go

The hotel is well located, but the bed isn't very thick. I left with a sore back as a souvenir of NY. I didn't feel safe in the shower. There is no lock and the windows are transparent. The breakfast is outrageous. If you can call it breakfast.
However, the man at the front desk is very friendly.

Great location

It was a couple of blocks from a large variety of restaurants. It was 3 blocks from the subway, and half a block from a bus stop.
There’s no elevator, and I was on the 5th floor, so being forgetful will get a person a lot of exercise. But by the 3rd day I was glad to be moving on.

I was promised two beds but they only gave one. I had to find another place to sleep that night. Would never visit again.

I was in a room with 2 pods, so I only had to share the room with one other person at a time, and the cohabitation always went well. The room is tiny, but there is a locker to store valuable items in (you have to bring your own lock). Every member of the staff I met was always friendly and helpful. My main complaint would be the noise: as others before me have already mentioned, the ventilation in the pods is very loud. Also, whenever the central heating was turned on, the pipes would make a huge banging sound on and off for hours in the middle of the night.
The showers were clean and had hot water, but I found it a bit odd to have mirrors facing the shower doors, which were glazed but still too see-through in my opinion.
It would also be nice to add hooks in the toilets and near the sinks.
All in all, I felt safe, the hostel is in a nice neighborhood and right next to Central Park, the subway is a few minutes away. But make sure to bring ear plugs with you!

It was excellent for the solo traveler. I don’t believe it would work for someone in a wheelchair, or with other type of limited mobility. And if you aren’t strong enough to climb up a few little steps on the small ladder to get to a top bunk, you should let them know that when you make a reservation. I stayed in the top bunk this time, and it was super easy to get in and out, but I can see how it might be daunting for somebody else.

I like the place, well clean and organized. Not far from the subway and close to central park

It's a very nice property, the staffs are very welcoming and helpful. My only concerne was the cleanliness of the kitchen, particularly the guests fridge.

Check was listed as 3:00 but at the desk they said 4:00. We had a commitment at 4:00, they held our bags.
