Everything was perfect

The cottage is lovely. It is cosy and welcoming. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. It also has a nice small garden at the back. It was very clean and Lisa prepared a basket for our shoes, which was great to keep the inside clean. Do take indoor shoes with you as it can be a bit cold with socks in the kitchen.

Absolutely beautiful little cottage, everything is so clean, lovely bedding and towels. There is every need catered for including hair dryer, shampoo conditioner shower gel, fizzy water , tea coffee and cleaning products. Dog friendly and not a single dog hair in the place.

Beautiful, cosy cottage in a glorious location. Stunning views of the countryside from the garden and excellent location for visiting locations associated with the Pendle Witches.

The water pressure!

A lovely cottage nestled near Pendle Hill with a stunning countryside view from the garden. small and perfect for 2. Lisa, the owner had provided recommendations for pubs close by that offered good food. We thoroughly enjoyed The Bay Horse (a chicken & ham hock pie was the best I have ever eaten), The Barley Mow and The Kabin, a lovely cafe that welcomes dogs with sausages!)
The cottage is gorgeous with a really comfy bed, large Tv with free view, Netflix and other apps and comfy sofas. I would highly recommend.
Water pressure in upstairs taps is affected by location at the top of a hill but the views from the garden are worth it. The Wi-Fi connection wasn’t always great for the TV but I had taken an Ethernet cable just in case so once plugged directly into that we had no more issues. I have left the cable for others to use.

Lovely cottage , ideal size for couples or singles plus dogs. Photos don’t do it justice . Very pretty and well thought out . I felt at ease there from the get go. Dog friendly and no long lists of rules on arrival! The cottage adjoins a number of other cottages in the square , neighbours are super friendly and went out of their way to welcome me. It’s a small close knit community.
I loved the location . To the right you have the beautiful village of Barley and on to Pendle Hill and to the left a short walk to Roughlee witch country !
I’m also going to make mention of the decent sized TV. I travel a lot and you would be surprised at how many property owners skimp on this putting tablet sized TVs in for guests !!!
The shower could do with an update / repair . It’s either boiling or freezing. Other than that it was lovely.

nice and clean house

Great location, clean, cosy, lovely garden and view, comfortable bed, reasonable priced, good communication from the owner. Nicer than the pictures.
For this type of holiday (needing somewhere cosy and warm and practical to get back to after a long day where the main focus is being out and about walking and enjoying nature) it suited our needs very well. Nothing to say that I didn’t like.

The place is wonderful and cozy
Lisa you need a potato peeler. And the water in the shower runs away slow so maybe check the plug
