About this house rental
Summary:
This 4-bedroom home overlooks Farmer's Arm, a quiet cove, in scenic Twillingate. Once home to a Merchant and his family, this home offers lots of space to settle in and experience life in an outport community. You'll sit on the large deck and watch the fishermen come and go, and maybe even catch the glimpse of an iceberg or sea creature.
The Space:
This home has 4 bedrooms upstairs. There is a King bed, 2 queens and a double. The full bathroom is upstairs and one of the queen bedrooms has a small ensuite half bathroom. On the main floor, you'll find the kitchen, a half-bathroom, a dining room and living area. There is a large water-facing deck to enjoy the view.
Guest Access:
Guests are welcome to enter the property using the side door and the key code provided.
The Neighborhood:
The Cove is nestled in a part of Twillingate called Durrell. Locals refer to it as "down arm". Durrell was one of three communities that amalgamated to form the Town of Twillingate. The home sits on Farmer's Arm, a small inlet where the local fishermen come and go. The home is about 1.5 km from the heart of Twillingate, where you'll find most of the restaurants, shops, etc.
Getting Around:
It's most common for visitors to arrive in Twillingate by car. That said, it's a lovely area to walk around and the coastal hiking trails are not to be missed.
There are 2 parking spots in the driveway available to guests staying at The Cove. The driveway is shared with the Little Cove guests. The Little Cove is the adjoining unit, which is rented separately.

A little further from town than we expected, but suited our needs for one night. Communication for check in was a little challenging because like so many Nl locations, the cell service was sketchy. Loved our stay

This property was lovely and the host was very accommodating.
It is an old home with completely renovated kitchens and baths, and new floors. They kept some of the original items like doors and doorknobs to keep some original character. It was just lovely.

Overall the property was nice! Fairly clean, tidy and generally well kept. It was an older house, which is nice and had some little quirks about it that I love. There was an issue with the shower, I was notified of that when I arrived which was ok. Only issue we really had was lack of dishes (small quantities of forks, knives, etc) and the early check out time. Travelling with small kids, we had to be frequently washing dishes, and the early checkout time (10am) made it challenging for us to get up, packed and out the door with the kids on time. An overall nice stay

We had a beautiful stay! We loved how the house still has the it’s original integrity while having all the modern qualities.
Would highly recommend this property.

The property was unkept. Odor very unpleasant when you first enter the house. Furniture in living room was dirty, I get the "antique" furniture but the furniture in the living room was just old and unclean. No molding on bedroom doors, unpainted closet and bedroom doors. We were quite disappointed with the house.
