Another great stay in Halifax! This was a perfect spot and close to all downtown restaurants! Very convenient and easy checkin.

This is an amazing downtown spot to stay. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic fully equipped 2-bedroom apartment conveniently located for our Mother-Daughter trip. Will stay again.
Those who give this property lower reviews have had unnecessary complaints because they did not read the communications.
Immediately upon booking, the property management sends an email to advise that there is no onsite parking however paid parking options are a very short walk away. They openly share that the hotel is attached to a bar (The Pint) and there it is loud (on weekends until 2am), so you can change your mind. The 2-bedrooms are at the front of the property so this is not an issue, however you can hear other units. Lastly, they also indicate - quite clearly - that check-in is 100% electronic. We liked this and it was easy.
There are complimentary laundry facilities on every other floor. The beds are comfortable. And, the units are modern. Not to mention, great value.

Worst experience ever. We could not reach the hotel. Hotels.com was not much help either. We waited outside the hotel for an hour trying to get codes to check in. We had to book another place to stay. Cameo Suites refuses to refund me

We loved staying at Cameo. The Penthouse had beautiful views from every room and was very comfortable and set up perfectly! We would highly recommend staying here and booking the Penthouse.

Great location. We stayed in the penthouse one bedroom. It was perfect. Could use a mirror in the room!

My only issue was the portable a/c fan unit. It was REALLY loud and the quiet settings didn't work. My choice was deal with loud or be a bit too warm. Otherwise, the room and the hotel were excellent!

My daughter and I stayed for two nights on a girls’ weekend. The place was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and clean. It’s very conveniently located a short walk from the waterfront, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.
Two downsides, which weren’t deal-breakers but worth noting:
- Bring earplugs if you can’t sleep through noise. The building is brick and concrete and noise from both outside and inside echo loudly throughout the space at all hours. I could very clearly hear conversations in the suites beside, above and below. And they weren’t yelling.
- To complete self check-in, you need Cameo’s booking confirmation code - NOT your Hotels.com booking number. This information was not included in the confirmation details and I couldn’t get it using Hotels.com help chat. I had to call Hotels.com’s help line at (800) 246-8357. Even then, I had to explain what I needed multiple times. Not the fault of Cameo - just not a great user experience.

Would definitely book this property for a long stay if back in Halifax for business. It had everything.

The property is up against an outdoor bar called Pint. Last night (Thursday) in September there was a DJ, pounding music til 2am and well over 100 patrons partying it up. Great for them - but not me. Unable to sleep til 2am. Also, only one AC unit in suite. Need to leave bedroom doors open to stay cool. If you want to party - this is your place!

I liked that the hotel felt like a bachelor apartment rather than a hotel room. I liked that laundry facilities were available for use, and that there was a kitchen to allow for eating in.
The sheets were a bit low on thread count and could have been a bit softer, and I would have appreciated if one of the pillows was thinner. Various pillow types would give more flexibility for personal preferences.
All in all, I really enjoyed the suite.

The coffee maker did not seem to work. Surprised to see a bar patio area just outside our window.

Cameo is in a very central and walkable area. There’s endless dining and bar options around too. The value matches the price paid. There is no staff to greet you, but the instructions ahead of time are super clear so we had no problem getting in. I would revisit for sure.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. On the first day, we had issues entering the hotel with the provided door code. The explanation was not clear enough, and we had to reach out via text message. The service was terrible and blunt. The rooms are nice and clean, but next to the hotel is 'The Pint,' which plays very loud music late into the night. We had to call the police twice!

Extremely loud and noisy, close to a disco during weekends. Otherwise, well located downtown. Self check-in, come prepared with your booking confirmation to manage it on your own. Clean and perfect for a city stay.

Great central location but was quite loud on Sunday evening (as we were warned). Earplugs were provided and the week days were ok. Checking in was challenging through hotels.com as it wasn’t easy to find our booking confirmation number. I figured it out but might be difficult for those who are not tech savvy.

This is the cutest and quaintest hotel within walking distance of the Halifax waterfront. I have travelled a fair amount, and this is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Fantastic job to the cleaner! I loved everything about it and plan to stay on my next visit to Halifax.

Nice room.
Mattress was the foam type and we found it to cup towards the middle. Uncomfortable mattress. Not good sleep as a result.

I really enjoyed staying at the Cameo self-service hotel. The property is really nice and the location is excellent! A couple of minor tweaks in the suite and I would have given it full marks.

For starters, this was a beautiful and cleanly property with great amenities! My friends and I stayed here for the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival on Sunday night. The venue was within a 10 minute walking distance of Citadel Hill where the event was hosted, and after the show was over there were limitless restaurants, bars, and other unique things that we could access just 5 minutes walk away from Cameo Suites. Parking is not included, however Cameo is only a mere 2-3 minute walk from the Metro Park parking garage which has very reasonable rates!
If you are looking for a venue on the quieter side, this may not be for you as it is located in the heart of Halifax’s nightlife. Not sure if the city’s nightlife is as loud and rambunctious on a weeknight, but on Sunday night when we were there, there was loud music and commotion steadily until around 2am (all rooms come with multiple sets of earplugs though which was a very nice courtesy!) The noise and city lights did not bother us at all, however if you are traveling for a business trip or have commitments early next morning, this place might not be best suited for you.
I would highly recommend this stay to others who don’t mind a bit of noise and a healthy dose of city chaos during their stay, and I myself would definitely come back again in the future!

Check in at 4pm check out at 11 am. I dont think it's fair to only habe 19 hrs to stay. I was late checking in due to family emergency and barely got to enjoy the space 😕

It was great. Hotels.com gave me my confirmation code from them not the actual hotel so that was a little stressful but the helpline got it pretty fast so no real issue

Love this accommodation. Really don’t love that you have to call hotels.com to get the confirmation number yo compete check in. It’s very inconvenient. Please change this and have the number communicated another way, perhaps the check in email.

It is central to everything downtown. The suite is clean and spacious. The only drawback was the loud bar playing music until 1 am next to our room.

Great spot, perfect for friends. Was confused about the ear plugs located in the bedroom until the pint patio started playing music. We didn’t mind, and was great after 2 am once the party ended. If you’re looking for a quiet spot downtown this isn’t it, but a great location otherwise.

Amazing room. Highly recommend for longer stays.

We loved the location as it was only a short walk away from the boardwalk. A public parking was close by, only a 2-minute walk. The suite was squeaky clean and the kitchen well-stocked with dishes, appliances, utensils. We appreciated the 3-bedroom unit to accommodate our family’s needs.
We had been informed of the potential loud music on certain days of the week and we came prepared to muffle the noise with white noise machines/APP so that wasn’t a problem. What we couldn’t muffle were the building vibrations caused by the music.
We quite enjoyed our stay and would totally go back!

The room was excellent, but problem with security codes and loud bar scene behind building.
