About this house rental
“Perfect spot for a New England vacation”
“Great outdoor space to entertain!!”
“The location was convenient to everything.”
“The house with its surrounding decks immediately transported us into the beach vacation vibe.”
The reviews are in for the Great Neck Nook — a little bit of heaven on the North Shore with views of Plum Island Sound and access to a sandy, private beach. Its location makes it a great base camp for exploring the coast where you’ll find a wide range of activities that suit every taste including the Crane Estate which offers art and music exhibitions, kayaking and hiking and, of course, quintessential Crane Beach.
There are also plenty of great restaurants to choose from although, if you’re like us, you’ll find yourself opting for cocktails on the Adirondack chairs, a barbecue on the deck, and then walking around the neighborhood as the sun goes down over the sound.
If you’re looking to live by the sea this summer, the Great Neck Nook is a perfect place to do it.
Please Note: Non-shedding dogs will be considered
In addition, there is a 12 ' x 15' unfinished room in the basement that includes an informal living area with chairs, a table and a SmartTV. A large hobby table and chair can be used as a home office or for working on projects or puzzles.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to stay by the ocean. We picked the Ipswich, MA, area because I had spent a month on Cape Ann as a teenager and had fond memories of my time there. The house was perfect- clean roomy, and fully air conditioned, with a well equipped kitchen, a spacious deck, and access to a private beach. All locations on Cape Ann, from Gloucester to Newburyport, were accessible within a half an hour from the house. The high-point for us was the day we spent exploring the beaches on Plum Island. Our hosts were readily accessible and quick to respond to our questions the few times they arose.

Very comfortable, exactly as advertised, excellent location, owners very helpful and easy to communicate with, would heartily recommend it.

This property satisfied all of our needs during our week stay. We wanted a place to keep as a temporary home base as we traveled around the Boston vicinity with our teens. But we also wanted a comfortable place to hang on those days we relaxed.
Our family of four had ample space to spread out. I especially enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy reading on the deck or relaxing on the Adirondack chairs. My husband liked how the t.v. was adjustable to where he was sitting. This was helpful while the Olympics were on.
The beds were comfortable. The darkening blinds were a plus. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals on the days we didn’t eat out. And I really loved how many hooks were available for towels and clothes.
We didn’t get to Clark Beach but we did enjoy time at Pavillion Beach. It was great being able to park close by and not have to walk too far over hot sand. Having the beach chairs, a cooler and plenty of towels at the house for us to use was awesome. And the cute mud room! How nice to be able keep all beach sand from upstairs.
We went into Ipswitch a handful of times to eat, tour the museum and look at all of the First Period Homes. Our kids enjoyed ice cream and mini golf at Whites and our days at Crane Beach and Plum Island.
Overall, this house was essentially a home for us and that was exactly what I was looking for when planning our summer vacation. Thanks for the memories!

Great Neck Nook proved to be the perfect place to gather my family who live both near and far for a fun week. My daughter and son-in-law were visiting from Oregon for a week. I was looking for a beach house for the three of us, that was also close to Hamilton where my other daughter and her family live. I found it here.
The house with its surrounding decks immediately transported us into the beach vacation vibe. The decor is bright, fresh, and has pops of nautical blue and the comfy furnishings throughout make you feel at home.
The open concept layout had plenty of room inside even when the seven of us got together for family meals. It allowed for easy living, remote work, quiet moments, family game nights and more.
The outdoor areas were my favorite part of the home The huge deck space is divided into four distinct areas. I began each day sipping my coffee enjoying the sea air before my walk on the beach. And we ended each day up on the hill in the Adirondack chairs as the sun set.
There was everything in the house that you would need from the kitchen to the bedrooms. I love to cook. The kitchen, well equipped and spacious, made it very easy for me to make family meals.
Each bedroom is a good size and has its own AC unit. And, as a late riser, I appreciated the room-darkening shades. The beds were comfortable and linens are of good quality. The bathroom is brand new and beautiful!
Great Neck, surrounded by water and beautiful tidal landscapes on three sides

House is well stocked, functional, and comfortable. The owner is friendly, helpful and dependable. We would have preferred a house with more of a view of the ocean. The private beach is not very attractive for swimming. We got a pass at town hall to park at Cranes Beach which is wonderful!
