First of all, this is a hotel, not individual cottages. So if you’re interested in this property just book directly through the ES Sonesta site. The rate is cheaper and you don’t get charged the extra fee. The check in process was the best part of our stay. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly. The room itself was just ok. The walls were dirty and there was paint peeling in several areas, but there was plenty of space for our family. The exterior of our building smelled strongly of dog poop and there was bird crap everywhere. The gym was not really a gym, just a few cardio machines. No weights or any other equipment.As for breakfast, they don’t really serve it until 9am. They put the food out at 6 and don’t restock it. Twice during our stay we went to breakfast at 8 and they were out of the main breakfast items. The lady in the kitchen would simply just tell anyone coming in “no more.” The WiFi was awful and would only work well if you were in the business center. Not great for us business travelers. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I won’t be seeking out ES Sonesta as My first choice.

My thirteen year old daughter and I had a BLAST! We were there for a week for a sports camp in the area and the property was perfect. We had a second floor room (stairs are fine for us, there is no elevator) and loved our windows overlooking the pool! The whole property is cozy, great little sidewalks. Plenty of parking (parking is free). The location is amazing. Schaumburg has so much to offer, we stopped at different restaurants (Kura sushi, El Taurino, The Cheesecake Factory), Jewel/Trader Joe’s for some groceries… we opted for a two king bedroom, two bathroom room and it was perfect. We had a microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, full size refrigerator with freezer and it was wonderful. We love to keep food and drinks with us and it was so comfortable staying in our home away from home! Plenty of pillows, towels, and the beds were very comfortable too! We also took advantage of the free breakfast many mornings- the oatmeal and pancakes were our favorite, and the staff (entirely- from check in to the breakfast service) was very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend staying here!,

This quiet little gem conveniently located close to many shopping & restaurants was a nice surprise for our girls weekend. The pool day was just what we needed. The place was clean, stocked with everything we needed to grill out. The staff were all very kind and helpful. If travels ever take us that direction again, we will definitely stay there.

There werw 2 extremely powerful, and mean dogs next door, that almost attacked my husband. Everytime we went outside thwy practically went through the windows. They were actually terrifying. The owners had no conteol over them. They lunged at my husband and almost bit him. Hence we checked out of the unit 1 day early. The floors,a d carpets were filthy. The round toilets were dated. The paint was peeling off the walls in the bathrooms. The sofa was disgusting too. Would never recommend, nor stay at this property again.

Great little home away from home. Definitely need to be painted and maintenance upgrades need to be addressed but other than that we had a great time

Great location we were able to park right by our room to unload. Check in process was a bit confusing but you just do it hotel style there wasn’t any communication on how to check in and what to do to check out. Real quiet area and even the pull out couch was comfy. Could have used more blankets.

We had a great time here. I would've loved a rundown of the check-in process before arrival so I didn't have to stress about whether there was an access code or key I was missing, but once we were there it was fine. The rooms were comfy!

My friend and I booked this trip as a bday gift for ourselves & it had all we could've wanted! It felt like staying in a cute and comfy 2-bedroom apartment where we could cook our own meals and were also very close to a ton of restaurants if we wanted to go out. It was very easy to find and check-in, everyone was friendly, and I love that it was pet friendly so I could bring my dog. There's not much for your dog to do around there, at least that I could see, so I'd make sure to bring toys for them or maybe look up a park nearby. I would definitely come back here again--thinking about doing it as a getaway for myself!
