About this cabin rental
Enjoying privacy and wildlife (property is surrounded by national forest) in the Rocky Mountains while being only 25 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater and Golden, Colorado. Breckenridge, a popular mountain town, is an hour away while travelling west on I-70.
Beds are equipped with brand name quality mattresses, duvet covers, and quality sheets. We pride ourselves in providing luxurious sleeping conditions for our guests. Quality sleep is a priority and necessity to ensure an enjoyable vacation.
Wi-Fi is provided and very reliable at 300mgps. Provided streaming apps include netflix, amazon prime, and hbo on all televisions. There is a washer and dryer available to guests in the basement.
The front door leads into the kitchen / living room. This large room contains a wood burning stove, baseboard heater, heatstorm 1500 btu heater, Bluetooth POLK sound bar with a subwoofer, and a smart tv on an adjustable mount.
The kitchen provides a 5-gallon water dispenser, a reverse osmosis system for drinking water, and a large 6’ x 4’ concrete kitchen island. Fully stocked with a wide array of appliances, kitchen essentials, spices, etc.
This space is perfect for entertaining.
From the front deck, wildlife can be seen across the valley, early in the morning and in the evening. The hummingbirds are very active from May - August. Occasionally, deer, fox, owls, and bear have been seen on this property. Most months of the year, the babbling creek of soda creek road is heard from the deck.
There are two entrances to the cabin off the 400 square foot deck. The deck wraps around the Cabin from the front door, to the side yard. Off the back deck is a large grassy area, a propane grill, and a barrel sauna.
The master bedroom has a walk in closet and private bath with a king bed. Room/bath amenities include dyson hair dryer, curling iron, ironing board w/ iron, and a full size mirror.
The second bedroom has a queen bed, full size miror, and Roku tv.
The third bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and a Roku television.
Each bedroom / bathroom provides radiant heating controlled by a wall thermostat. Space heaters and standing fans can be found in closets.
The couch, in the kitchen, slides out into a queen-sized bed. There are additional sheets in the linen closet upstairs or in the chase of the couch.
Ask about the old mine that was left behind by the pioneers during the Gold Rush. This can be accessed through the forest at the edge of the property.
The driveway is steep in the beginning but is gradual after that section. There is a large lot at the bottom of the driveway, adjacent with the road. This lot can fit about 3 cars if you are unable to ascend driveway (this only happens in Winter months). Luckily, Idaho Springs does not see as much snow precipitation as nearby mountain towns like breckenridge. AWD or 4WD is a necessity during Winter months.
This location offers a .8-mile drive to Miner Street, in Idaho springs. I-70 is 5 minutes away but cannot be heard from this mountain cabin.
Bask in privacy rarely found without being deep in the Rockies, while being close to many of Colorado's great attractions.

Our son got married at North Star Gathering only 11 mins from the venue. Perfect location and the town was charming.

Cabin is nestled on a hill just outside Idaho springs making it convenient to explore the local attractions but also private and secluded without seeing any close neighbors. Large kitchen was really nice. The beds were very comfortable.

This property was amazing! It feels remote but you are actually just a few minutes from town. Several hummingbirds visited the feeder after we filled it! Would definitely return.

We wanted to stay somewhere where we could get to Rocky Mountain National Park and Garden of the Gods. Idaho Springs is in the middle of these so it was perfect for us. Idaho Springs has some nice restaurants. The property has a great view and we spent time on the deck. Saw mule deer and elk on mountains. Also hike St Marys Glacier which is close to property.

Perfect location to enjoy Idaho Springs and surrounding area. Communicating with Kody was great and no issues during our stay. The driveway, though steep, didn't pose any problem to our vehicles (sedans included). Since it was summer time, a few of the rooms get a bit toasty late in the day, but cool off quickly once the sun sets. Fully equipped kitchen was nice as was the deck. A great place to relax with friends/family, and minutes away from downtown Idaho Springs.

My fiance and I booked this place for our joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party with friends - 8 people total and 2 dogs. Everyone loved the space, the views, and the location. We did all have to share beds, but we are a cozy bunch, so nobody seemed to have a problem with that.
The only hiccup that occurred was a delayed check-in, caused by the previous tenants not cleaning up after themselves or checking out on-time. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating during this hiccup, and I would not blame him or the housekeeper for the delay. They both were very courteous of our time and made the best of a bad situation.
The dogs loved the property as well! They played fetch for HOURS in the backyard, and the house is far enough away from the road that we never had to worry about them getting too close to cars.
Location was perfect as well! Right down the street from Indian Hot Springs and downtown Idaho Springs. I also highly recommend using the Liquid Descent coupon for a rafting excursion - best part of our trip by far!

1st make sure if you bring a trailer park it at the bottom. Hills not bad but when wet or snowy it gets slick. Great house and views. Beautiful kitchen and well finished. Love to come back. Host answers his phone.

Great cabin to spend a few or alot of days on vacation. We liked the view on the mornings. No neighbors close by was a plus for us. The host responded very quickly when we had an issue putting the code in. I will choose this place again if available when we visit Colorado again. The Idaho Springs towns it's super close by, it has very good local food places. Hint* You got to try Big B's Soup and Grilled Cheese!!

We stayed at this cabin before the Devil on the Divide race and had an amazing time. It was the perfect spot, close to town, amazing kitchen and full of everything we needed to run the next morning. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here the view is great and the interior is perfect for a mountain vacation. It’s so close to Idaho Springs and just down the road from the hot springs. We loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice and the views were beautiful. Also, it’s close to town, but you don’t feel like it when you look outside. So that is very handy. The only thing I would note, is that you truly need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the incline to the house when it’s snowy out. (The host was not joking about that one.) Also, the host was easy to reach and quite friendly, I highly recommend staying at this lovely mountain home.

We were in Idaho Springs for a destination wedding. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the mountains. This place was located in the perfect place for us, a 4 min drive to town, and peacefully located in the mountains. Our children, 24, 22, 21, and 19 enjoyed hiking up the mountain, literally at the back door. The place is stocked with all that is needed for a home away from home!!
