About this house rental
This classic Maine farmhouse converted a post-and-beam barn structure for the one-of-a-kind kitchen, is such a cozy home for your mid-coast Maine vacation. Freshly painted inside, super-clean. New furniture, mattresses, linens. Two full bathrooms have been completely renovated, one has a large soaking tub waiting just for you!
Incredible natural light bathes every room, giving multiple places to curl up with a book, play games, or simply relax after your days of adventure. The enclosed back porch is for that perfect cup of coffee or cocktail, and the semi-covered deck overlooks a private backyard with outdoor firepit. The reading room has a wonderful Vermont Castings woodstove, so comforting on a chilly night! The hand-made farmhouse table sits adjacent to the ample kitchen with a vintage Monson-Burmah slate sink, use the full kitchen to prepare meals at your pleasure. Use the five burner gas cooktop, convection wall oven or the new gas BBQ outside with Adirondack chairs ready for outdoor lounging. Washer and drier are on the bedroom level, very convenient. Air conditioning in each bedroom keeps the home comfortable. 58” TV is ready for your streaming services, great Wi-Fi if you need to Zoom or binge-watch. If you need to get some remote-work done, we have two dedicated work desks; one with a large monitor is in the fireplace room. Another desk and chair is upstairs in the primary bedroom.
The stairs in homes of this era are slightly steep, but we recently upgraded the railing to proper height. For a 1920 house, it’s in great shape, but has the “character” original wood floors one would expect. The home is truly one of a kind, very inviting and comfortable. This home has high ceilings, unusual for this era: 9'-0" ceilings in the first floor living areas in the original home, kitchen is closer to 8' with the barn beams, and the ceilings are 8'-0" upstairs in the bedrooms (except where sloped at the edges - see pictures).
This home sits on Pearl Street, a prime neighborhood and a five minute walk to downtown. Three parking spaces. What's perfect about Camden is its central location, excellent foodie restaurants, access to multiple sailing adventures, and variety of outdoor activities. Plus the community is so nice! We request Saturday to Saturday rentals. Welcome to our home away from home, it is perfect for family vacations or getaways.

My wife and I had a wonderful week’s stay working from this house. It was convenient for exploring the midcoast area of Camden, Rockport, Rockland, Lincolnville, etc. as well. Quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely revamped cottage. Had everything we needed and was able to prepare home cooked meals for Christmas. The owner reached out before our arrival to welcome us and was very responsive. Camden is a great little town and in the middle of all our favorite coastal Maine places. Extra points for being right down the road from the Camden Snow Bowl - the kids had a blast snowboarding and skiing our last day! Oh, and the water in the bathrooms get hot and stay hot! Loved it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and week following with our family. The house is well appointed in a quiet and convenient village location within walking distance to Camden's downtown and harbor. You can't beat Camden as a base to explore the Midcoast, Acadia and beyond. Highly recommend this property and its owner for your next trip to Camden, we're already planning ours. Best Andy

Kris has clearly put a lot of thought into creating this home away from home. Modern renovated bathrooms and amenities, but kept the charm of an older Maine home. My stepfather, who was born and raised in the area, was so enamored with the place, and he is not easy to please! He is now a retired senior, and walked down to Camden harbor each morning to see what was happening on the water, rain or shine. The location was great. Part of the charm are the floors which are a bit uneven going room to room, but easily navigated by small children and older seniors. May be challenging for someone with limited mobility. On site laundry/dryer was a godsend! Also had a well stocked kitchen that we used to cook most meals including lobster bakes, grilled steaks, and Maine hot dogs (no ketchup). Kris was responsive and gracious with our questions - quick to help and offer tips for our stay. My parents asked when we should come back!

We booked the property after cancelling our hotel stay so that our family of 5 could stretch out and have space. This was the perfect property. The house was extremely clean. It had the charm of a 100 year old house with luxury of updated bathrooms and kitchen. We sat on the screened porch every night and morning to take advantage of the cool Maine temps. Short 10 minute walk to Main St. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely home, only a short walk from Camden Harbor. The house is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen is fully stocked if you wish to cook. The owners have truly thought of everything to make it feel like a "home away from home." They also had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Everything was just perfect and we are very grateful to have spent our vacation in such a lovely place.
