We stayed 6 nights.The staff were outstanding.They could not do enough for us.The meals Stephen served were excellent. Malinda organised us tours which we enjoyed very much and help us in everyday.
The hotel is in a good position and walking distance to the supermarket and other attractions.

From the moment you entered through the front door you are made to feel like the most important guest staying there. The manager and staff seem to be a tight team who are solely focused on the guests happiness. Our room was large enough for the four of us, the flowers a sweet touch. The manager listened to our needs we had dinner downstairs and it was so good, even though we weren't hungry. They realised the kids might not like spice and served that on the side. Breakfast on the balcony another beautiful touch especially watching the mist roll through. If you are staying in Nuwara Eliya staying here is a must.
It is hard to come up with anything, the kids felt the wifi wasn't as fast as they would like. But hey we are up in the hills as a parent this was not a problem.

The owner goes out of his way to assist guests, is personable, affable and pleasant to deal with. The property was immaculately clean, the room was a good size, the shower and bathroom were good and the wifi worked. Breakfast on the second morning was better than on the first.
It is reasonably well situated for a leisurely short walk into the town centre, or a tuk tuk, if you prefer. There is also a supermarket nearby, which is really handy, and a good restaurant, the Indian Summer.
The property appears to have been either opened or bought recently and the owner is clearly keen to build it up and make a good impression.
No heating. For most of the year, this won’t be a problem, but I visited in January and it was a little cold at night. This is normal in Nuwara Eliya. A hot water bottle for guests would be appreciated good idea.
Breakfast has been delegated to the sons of the family. They are decent and well-mannered lads but they are not hospitality professionals and they probably need to be given some guidance as to what guests expect, such as being offered tea or coffee without having to request it. Ground coffee would be good.
There was a dripping drain at the back of the house, which could be heard in the room.
These are minor teething problems, easily fixed.
Would I recommend this hotel? Yes, I would.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Queensland hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.
The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the delicious food served at the hotel's restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my kid's preferences, even anticipating their needs without us having to ask.
The hotel's location was also ideal, within walking distance to the town center, making it convenient for us to explore the area without needing to worry about transportation. I must give a special mention to the manager, whose helpfulness and dedication truly made our stay memorable. They were always on hand to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we were completely satisfied with our experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend Queensland hotel highly enough. If you're looking for a clean, friendly, and accommodating place to stay, this is the perfect choice. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area

Evening meal was a banquet fit for a king, where they cooked Everything we wanted to order, even food that was not on the menu. Breakfast was another feast, that set us up for the day. There were 9 of us and everyone would give this place 10/10.
We would definitely come back here again.

Fijn hotel op een goede locatie vlakbij het meer. De mensen zijn vriendelijk en willen je graag helpen. De douche heeft ook warm water. Het is ruim 20 minuten wandelen naar het centrum/ grand hotel. Maar er rijden ook genoeg tuktuks rond. En er zit een supermarkt en een pizzatent om de hoek. Bij het verblijf zelf kun je ook avondeten. Als je wilt wandelen bij Horton Plains, dan zorgen zij voor een chauffeur en voor een take away ontbijt.
De kamer kon soms wat klammig zijn, waardoor kleren ook wat klammig werden.

Жили на верхнем этаже, в шесть утра по крыше птицы начали долбить) неудобный выезд из отеля на дорогу на машине в горку и постоянно заставлено наверху машинами, там супермаркет. Вечером резко холодает и становится зябко в номере. Пол холодный, весь день, ходили в тапках.

It was clean and spacious
The smell was because the area has a lot of rain, so it causes a dampness. The view was spoiled by unfinished buildings, probably new hotels, so we did not enjoy the room as hoped.

Very nice (and big room). Not right in the center of town but not too far away - so it’s very peaceful. We left early (5am) to do the World’s End hike and the staff made us a nice little takeaway breakfast bag for the road.

Very clam and quiet location and an ideal place to relax. Middle of the town has access to anywhere. Staff was exceptionally helpful for elderly ladies who went with us. Very clean rooms, good food and worth for expenditure. Also arranged a barbecue on our request at short notice without any negative attitude. Spent a good & relaxed vacation.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super - man hat zum Lake Gregory nur 5 Minuten, die Innenstadt ist auch fußläufig erreichbar und daneben ist gleich ein Supermarkt.
Das Personal hat uns geholfen, ein TukTuk zum Bahnhof zu organisieren.
Das Bett war für unseren Geschmack etwas hart. Leider gibt es auch keinen Föhn, was in einer kälteren Gegend wie Nuwara Elyia schön gewesen wäre, wenn man nach der Dusche nochmal rausgehen möchte.

I checked in, unpacked, and was pretty happy, though the room was super spacious. The beautiful hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast is nice lots of choices. The hotel location was nice and perfect for relaxing. The view of the hotel adds a great touch to my stay. The staff created a warm welcoming atmosphere makes my stay happier. It is a great place to stay and highly recommend it to anyone who looking for the best relaxing holiday.

Probably the comfiest bed we had during our trip. The room was spacious. It gets quite chilly in Nuwara Eliya at night, but the duvet was warm and we slept well. Breakfast was ok.

Very nice property with good views. Comfortable and spacious rooms and beds with little balcony too. Food was expectational. The breakfast offered was Exceptional and delicious. One of the best Breakfasts we had during our visit. The staff went above and beyond in providing amazing service. Special mention to Mr. Prasanna who was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this place.

Love the great location and Atmosphere. Has an excellent view of the Single Tree Mountain 🏔. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our stay was wonderful. We stayed only one night but the hosts made us feel like at Home 🏡. Mr. Prasanna ( Owner ) organized us a tour around NUWARAELIYA City and the tea plantation. We hope to come here again if we ever visit Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful stay at the queensland. The room was beautiful and the location was just great. We walked to many things, but public transportation and tours were also close by. The breakfast each morning was really good as well and we could each eat on our own schedule. We would certainly stay there again next time we are in Nuwaraeliya.

I recently visited this hotel and had a good time. The staff created a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, and their service was absolutely outstanding. My stay at the hotel was enhanced by the lovely view and ideal location. I'm still expecting that in the future, the rooms will be nicer and cleaner, and I'm looking forward to going back to check it on. Food was better prepared and served. The pizza hut, keels, and other amenities can all be reached on foot from the hotel, which is near the Nuwra Eliya town. I would recommend it to anyone since it is a great place to stay.
