About this apartment rental
Hawaiian Princess 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath end unit penthouse. There is no better ocean/beach view on the westside of the island than from the lanai of this 16th floor condo. This condo sits right on the beach. 850 square feet inside the condo, and 400 square feet of lanai space, for a total of 1,250 sq feet.
Watch turtles, dolphins and in the winter, whales from your private lanai. Open up the windows and let the tropical breeze and the sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep on our super comfy gel foam bed. Prepare meals in our kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, and enjoy watching sunsets while dining on the lanai. If you are looking for somewhere that you will want to return to year after year, this is it.
NOTE: This part of the island is a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds. We have multimillion dollar homes mixed with lower income housing and unfortunately, some homeless camps. There are camps on the west side because of the great weather, but there are homeless all over the island, especially in the big city. The average price of a home is well over a million dollars here. That prices a lot of people out of paradise. We are a gated and secure building. Most people leave their lanai doors open 24/7 to let the breeze come in and to hear the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just as an FYI, we live in the area, and we have never had an incident related to the homeless, except maybe someone holding a sign looking for a meal or a couple of dollars.

The best view/lanai I've ever had in HI. The private beach was amazing and the host was incredible. The facility is very secure with easy access to staff for any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was just as pictured (If not better). We found everyone to be friendly from the people who worked at the condo to the people at the fast food places and grocery stores. Hopefully we will get the chance to come back!

When we arrived the beach was a bit rough and I wondered if we were going to safely enjoy the beach or not. Just happens that we had an influx of big waves for a bit and that allowed us take in the surfers that were showing up to play. That was a fun treat.
Lots of snorkeling right off the beach. Hiking the mountain ‘Nextdoor’.
It’s a quiet beach and not very touristy. I liked that.
Unit was nice and had most everything we needed. Comfy bed, comfy couch bed.
I’d stay here again :)

We had a wonderful stay. The views are amazing and the beach is never crowded. Snorkeling off the beach is fantastic. Not a high tourist area. The condo is well stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the owner was great, also. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time on our stay. The unit was very clean and well stocked. There were plenty of linens and even coffee with creamer available. We were excited to be able to see the whales from the balcony. The drive to the unit is well worth it and gets you away from the crazy downtown and in all the tourist areas. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants close to the unit and trying some local cuisine.

I’m definitely going to miss coffee on the lanai watching the ocean. Such a beautiful beautiful view. I highly recommend. Plus staff and every one I worked with were fantastic. Thanks to Penny and Tom for being so welcoming.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay. It has the most beautiful view and all the comforts of home. We felt extremely safe with the gates and security guard. We were thrilled to see sea turtles, whales and a seal swimming from the balcony. We will be back!

I've stayed at a number of beachfront vacation homes in recent years, but this one was by far the most comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated and well equipped. This was in addition to one of the best balcony views in all of Hawaii. The owner was kind with excellent communication and we'd definitely book this condo again for any future stays on O'ahu. It's positioned on a beautiful mostly private, quiet beach that had no shortage of sea turtle sightings and was only an hour drive away from some of the tourist attractions on the other sides of the island like the North Shore or Waikiki. The pool was clean and the other guests we met were very friendly. The only drawback for some might be the homeless population setting up camp in the surrounding town, but the condo is in a secure gated community with security onsite, so we felt very safe during our stay. We loved the private entry to this condo with its own security gate on the top floor, too.

Papaoneone Beach is an undiscovered gem, and the condo is an incredible place to enjoy it. Wish we were staying another week.

Had a truly wonderful stay at this Vrbo property. The ocean view was nothing short of amazing. Each evening, we were treated to stunning sunsets right from the patio/balcony. Would absolutely return and recommend to others!

We really enjoyed our stay. The views were absolutely amazing. We had the beach practically to our selves. The unit was very nicely furnished with brand new appliances. The extra bathroom was fantastic. All the essentials and then some were provided. The location was great. We wanted to get away from the city. It was a much quieter area, but amazing views.

I could not have imagined a better place to stay in Makaha. The view from the lanai and private beach were absolutely amazing. Sea turtles visit the bay everyday, multiple times a day. The reef is full of fish and sea life making for snorkeling memories to last a lifetime. I visited family staying in other condos in the same building, and this one had so much more room and better views!! This is where you want to stay! The condo was clean and welcoming. It had great appliances for cooking and doing laundry. The master bed and pull out couch were both incredibly comfortable. There was a lot of room to move about, even with company over and having two bathrooms is always a plus! The condo isn't full of instructions posted on every wall or door like some other rentals, and this made it feel a lot more homey. We will be back! Mahalo 🌺

The place is in a peaceful community. The view is amazing! You are able to see turtles swimming in the cove, usually in the mornings and evenings. The weather was beautiful. We are from Arizona and the breeze that comes off the ocean was sufficient to keep us cool. There is security and you are in a gated community. We were able to leave all the sliding doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and highly recommend it. If you love crowds and chaos this is not the place for you! You will need a vehicle though or a plan for getting around. If you plan to do activities that require traveling around the island take into consideration rush hour times 6-9am and 3-6pm and try to avoid them. Of all the beaches we visited on Oahu, the one at Makaha was the best! We do recommend bringing a snorkeling mask. Aoki's Shave Ice in Haleiwa is awesome too.

Million dollar 270 degree views and sunsets from this corner condo on 16th floor. Condo has new paint, brand new appliances and new kitchen utensils. Smart TVs and internet options are exceptional.
The building was mostly unoccupied and almost always quiet. The beach was not busy. The surf is fun and small children would need to be supervised.
The community is 'authentic' Hawaiian- not touristy- and without mainland box stores (30-60 min away depending on time of day: Rush hour traffic can be considerable).
Top notch communication with host and housekeeper - 5 stars
