If you're looking for a rustic getaway in the woods of Vermont, look no further than this cozy cabin. Situated between three ski mountains, this cabin is ideal for outdoor adventurers. Stowe Mountain and Smugglers Notch are within 25 miles for sights and activities, while Jay Peak, within 35 miles, will also make your trip most memorable. You'll be within 10 miles of Green River Reservoir State Park, where you can take a hike through the gorgeous nature trails and find yourself by its glimmering lake. For even more activities at the Green River Reservoir, you'll be glad to know you'll have some of the most pristine kayaking in the state right at your fingertips (there are no motorboats allowed). After a splendid hike, drive on up to Moss Glen Falls and take in the fantastic view of its titular waterfall.

Head back to your home away from home after a lovely day out exploring and step into your idyllic cabin. Nestled away in the colorful Vermont thicket, you'll be in the perfect location for some much-needed rest and relaxation. You'll have a beautiful view of the northern green mountains off in the distance straight from the window of your home. Enjoy the yard games and kick it back on the chairs out on the deck as you clank cold drinks with your pals and take a breath of the fresh air. Around nighttime, roast some marshmallows over the firepit, then come back inside and read a good book bedside under the light of a lamp.

This cabin was cute and cozy but very dark. It could use better lighting or better light bulbs because even with all the lamps on it felt dark. Lamps and lights were also missing bulbs which didn't help. I also feel that the pictures make it look way better than it really is. The screened in porch was not as nice as I thought it would be but that's ok. It was more like a nice camp to me. The bed was very comfortable and the setting back in the woods was very peaceful which is what really matters most to me. There were critters but that is to be expected with a log cabin in the woods. (We didn't see them but could hear them at night) It had all the supplies you need for cooking and a nice full size fridge. Good place to stay!

We checked in and immediately found that the router wasn't accessible. We made several attempts to reach management and were told they would get with the local team. The back porch has many screens that are not secure so if you have kids they can walk right off the deck. The house was no clean and there were many light bulbs out. Two days in we lost power and then lost water so had no toilet. The next morning the mice came in. I reached out to the management company and they said they do not have to guarantee me a safe environment, working toilet or a pest free facility. The Vermont STR rental code begs to differ. They offered me a $50 refund when I had to relocate my family so we could go to the bathroom.

Great cabin with an amazing view! Very quiet and secluded, just what I needed but not far at all from places in case you feel like venturing out!

Cute, classic log cabin in the deep woods. But several problems. 1) Really dirty (windows, baseboards, sticky kitchen counter, mouse droppings on the plates in the cupboard). 2) Approach is a long dirt road and then a long steep driveway, marked 'Stop--Keep Out' and 'Private Property'. We kept going anyway and found the right place but a warning would have been helpful. 3) Deferred maintenance: Ripped screens in particular. 4) Lighting was difficult--some fixtures had to be plugged and unplugged with no switches, other switches were in out of the way places, and there was not enough light for reading in several places. 5) Reference was made to putting garbage in bear boxes but we never found them. There was garbage strewn around the property before we got there. We DID love the screened porch but the screens were ripped in many places.

I booked this cabin fully prepared for a rustic getaway in the mountains, not expecting amenities or anything too fancy. Unfortunately, this cabin still fell short of expectations. It was tidy… but filthy. Thick dust and mouse droppings all over the place and questionable stains on the bedclothes. The tub had someone else’s bar of soap dried onto the side when we arrived. There were no instructions on where to put the compost or trash. Don’t expect any extras (like salt/pepper/oil, clean throw blankets, or extra trash bags). The second story back deck has stunning views of Mount Mansfield, but the screening is falling away, making it a huge safety hazard for folks with pets or kids. The listing includes a fire pit, but don’t count on being able to use it as it is overgrown with grass. Also, the house is very dark because many lamps don’t work; for instance, the bathroom is barely lit with only one lightbulb. Finally, the beautiful, old wooden floors are a hazard due to sharp nails sticking out all over the place. The owner has asked for guests to take their shoes off in the house, but someone needs to come through with a hammer to make sure no one rips up their feet in honoring that request. I tore multiple socks on these nails during my stay. With a deep scrubbing, some much-needed basic maintenance, and attention to the mouse infestation, this cabin could be an incredible place to stay. Unfortunately, this was not our experience.
